In a new report from the site, it's said, "When filming resumed there was a section where the tank is being pursued by another custom made vehicle. It had the same shaped prop at the front of it. It was the shape of a rhino’s head."

Spider-Man: Brand New Day was shooting in Surrey, England, yesterday, and we now have some high-resolution shots of Tom Holland as Peter Parker. The hero's face shows some telltale signs of a brutal battle, suggesting this might be from later in the movie.

It's still hard to tell whether Zendaya was shooting scenes with Holland as Mj, though the actress is wearing her clothes and hair in a way that's not dissimilar to the McU's Michelle Jones.

Fake snow was being used for the scene where Peter leaves flowers at his Aunt May's grave, meaning his visit takes place during winter, similar to how things wrapped up in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Interestingly (or perhaps not), the shape of Aunt May's grave has changed. It's strange to see this prop look even slightly different when Marvel Studios is usually pretty good with continuity. Regardless, we wouldn't read too much into this fairly minor alteration.

Even though it seem like it's still so far away, we're getting closer and closer to the release of Stranger Things season 5 on Netflix later this year. The over three-year wait has led to the final season finally arriving in three parts this holiday season, and as eagerly anticipate the drops this fall, there are still so many questions and possibilities left swirling in the air for fans to consider.

Zendaya was seen reprising her role as Michelle Jones, with Mj and Peter standing at Aunt May's graveside. This could be a repeat of Spider-Man: No Way Home's ending, where Peter spoke with Happy Hogan, who, thanks to Doctor Strange's spell, had no idea that he was his ex-girlfriend's nephew.

However, outside of Peter, Mj didn't have a connection to May, so it seems more likely that by this point in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, something has happened which has made it so that she finally remembers the man she loves.

In one of the first photos from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, we spotted a tank with a demonic symbol on the side. Many fans rushed to the conclusion that it must belong to the Inner Demons, but Mister Negative reportedly isn't set to appear in the movie.

Netflix’s final trip to Hawkins will roll out in three waves—four episodes on November 26, three on Christmas Day and a feature-length finale on December 31—confirming that the fifth season of “Stranger Things” will close out 2025 rather than slip to 2026.

Series co-creator Matt Duffer, speaking on social media this week, called the opener “The Crawl” their most eventful premiere since 2016 and teased a second chapter with “the craziest cold open we’ve ever done.” He added that most regular episodes now cut between 60 and 90 minutes, while the finale could approach three hours, matching the cinematic scale promised when production wrapped last December.

Filming resumed in Atlanta in January after last year’s strikes and concluded with location work around Albuquerque; post-production teams are currently finishing over 2,000 visual-effects shots designed to merge Hawkins with the Upside Down in what Duffer called “our largest single set piece.”

Back in May, it was reported that Spider-Man: Brand New Day would feature two Japanese villains. Mister Negative is Chinese, not Japanese, meaning fans were left puzzled.

Later, there were reports of Silver Samurai and Viper appearing in the movie. That didn't make a ton of sense as neither are typically Spider-Man villains; instead, they're closely connected to the X-Men and, more specifically, Wolverine.

However, if we're getting a gang war story with multiple street-level bad guys, they could appear in a small supporting role, with the stage set for them to return in future MCU projects.

While we wait and see what happens with that, costume prop modeller Monica Avitto was discovered by fans (it's since been taken down) and includes a page titled "Spiderman" with dozens of Japanese and Samurai costumes, masks, and items.

Plans change all the time, of course, and these characters may have been dropped from the script long ago.

There were concerns that Spider-Man: Brand New Day might be a full-blown Multiversal adventure, with Tom Holland's Peter Parker reunited with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men.

Work has resumed on Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, and Tom Holland's stunt double has been spotted swinging through the streets of the Scottish city that's currently doubling for New York.

We've had web-swinging in the other Spider-Man movies produced by Marvel Studios, but it wasn't until Spider-Man: No Way Home's closing moments that fans were treated to a proper "final swing" through Manhattan. Now that he's a street-level superhero, it looks like we can expect Spidey to swing between the Big Apple's skyscrapers, at last.

The stunt double isn't suited up (yet), but it looks like he'll be pursuing this tank—which may or may not belong to The Punisher—first through the skies, and later when he lands on top and attempts to stop the driver.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is finally taking shape ahead of its release in theaters next July, and we now have some rumoured new details courtesy of scooper Daniel Richtman. 

It's no secret that the movie will deal with the aftermath of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Peter Parker living in a world where no one remembers who he is. It probably won't surprise you to learn that the movie will have a darker tone, with Richtman comparing it to Kraven's Last Hunt. 

The presence of characters like The Punisher and The Hulk has led fans to question whether this is going to be a dark, street-level adventure or another Avengers-adjacent blockbuster, and it seems it will be more the former than the latter.

One overlooked photo has gained traction on social media this afternoon for hinting at a major, long-awaited change to the MCU Spider-Man's mask.

As you can see, Holland is wearing a protective face covering under the web-slinger's mask, which means it doesn't conform too closely to the shape of his head and retains a smooth, comic book-like surface. However, we see this headgear extends around the actor's jaw in a way that ensures that when Spidey speaks, the mask will move at the same time as his mouth.

This effect was achieved with VFX in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, so...

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has paused filming in Glasgow, Scotland, today due to poor weather. That means no more set photos until tomorrow at the earliest, but Tom Holland himself has just shared some official behind-the-scenes shots.

In those, we see Spidey, mask and all, atop the armoured vehicle he chases through the streets of New York City. The Punisher is believed to be in the driving seat as he pursues a Department of Damage Control convoy transporting The Scorpion.

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures were prepared for set leaks, so they shared an official look at Spidey's suit in advance. The mask wasn't showcased in that video, but based on what we see here and in other photos, the design is...amazing.

Shortly before the weekend, we learned that Spider-Man: Homecoming star Michael Mando will make his long-awaited MCU return as Mac Gargan, a.k.a. the Scorpion, in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Now, the actor has taken to Instagram to tease both a comic-accurate costume...and Venom?! There have been some rumblings about the alien costume factoring into this movie for a while now, though its introduction still seems like something the Russo Brothers would want to tackle in Avengers: Secret Wars, setting the stage for Spider-Man 5.

Mando, however, may be looking further ahead. After Scorpion is inevitably defeated in this movie, he could eventually take Eddie Brock's place in the MCU by becoming Venom once Peter Parker rids himself of the Symbiote. As you'll likely recall from the comics, Gargan's Venom was far more lethal and deranged than Brock ever was.

The clip was shared on Instagram, and despite having a history of spoiling major plotlines in Marvel movies, Tom Holland kept a tight lip this time around (which wasn’t even necessary). Spider-Man: Brand New Day is officially on its way.

Tom Holland celebrated production on his fourth Spider-Man film kicking off with a few behind-the-scenes photos. On Instagram, the English actor shared two pictures of himself on set, notably in his brand-new Spidey suit.

In the shots, Holland stood on top of a military-like automobile with a stunt wire attached to his body. “Spider-Man Brand New Day 1,” he wrote in the caption of the post.

Tom Holland is back in action as Spider-Man, and fans are already buzzing with excitement. Filming for the new movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, kicked off on August 1, 2025, in Glasgow, Scotland. The working title for the shoot is “Blue Oasis,” and it’s being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with Brett Pawlak returning as cinematographer.

With the new suit borrowing heavily from those worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: No Way Home and their respective solo outings, it's not overly surprising that Peter #1's mask has remained largely the same (though the lenses do look larger in some shots).

While this homemade suit isn't outfitted with Stark Tech, we'd bet on those lenses still moving so that Tom Holland's web-slinger can express emotion. With a significantly bigger design, that might have been trickier to achieve in a believable way.

In the meantime, this photo offers a much closer look at the hero's new web-shooters, with a red and grey design that feels very comic book-inspired. As for the suit itself, it's the same one we saw at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, albeit with a few minor cosmetic tweaks.

By the time Spider-Man: Brand New Day is released, Holland will have been playing the McU's Spidey for a decade. The expectation is that he'll star in at least one more trilogy for Marvel Studios, though he's also expressed a desire to pass the mantle to a young actor playing Miles Morales.

On Friday, it was confirmed that Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo have joined Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Now, the wall-crawler has The Punisher, The Scorpion, and The Hulk to deal with, not to mention whoever Sadie Sink is playing. 

Today, we have news on more villains set to take centre stage in the movie, and there's one addition who it's fair to say none of us expected to see in the MCU movie.

According to scooper Daniel Richtman, "Some of the villains in Spider-Man Brand New Day are Tombstone, Tarantula, Boomerang, Scorpion and...Ramrod, who's a half cyborg."

Who's Ramrod? First introduced in 1973's Daredevil #103, Ramrod was a construction crew worker gravely injured in a work-related accident. The villains Kerwin Broderick and Moondragon hoped to take over San Francisco, so transformed Ramrod into a half-man, half-cyborg monstrosity whom they blackmailed into doing their bidding.
