Sadie Sink’s Spider-Man 4 Role: Gwen Stacy Or Jean Grey? 5 Characters Stranger Things Star Can Play
Image
Rumors of Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink playing a pivotal role in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day have been popping up everywhere. The most prominent speculation floating around has been her playing the character of Gwen Stacy in the film (via Kristian Harloff) after she was announced as part of the film.

Although no concrete claims have been verified until now, there are still several fan theories and fantasy roles that she’s being considered for alongside Tom Holland as the titular protagonist. Therefore, here are the 5 roles that Sink can play in the upcoming film, as well as the MCU.

1. Gwen Stacy

As stated in the intro, the actress is being rumored to be the most likely potential portrayer of Gwen Stacy in the upcoming film. This role was earlier played by Emma Stone in The Amazing Spider-Man duology.

New Set Report Suggests The Rhino Is Set To Make An Appearance In Spider-man: Brand New Day
Image
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is still shooting in Scotland, but has another supervillain been spotted? So far, we've only seen the wall-crawler in action, though a few different scoopers have claimed that The Punisher is driving the tank and in hot pursuit of The Scorpion.

There's been a lot of destruction lately, and Glasgow World has been on hand to cover some of it. In a new report from the site, it's said, "When filming resumed there was a section where the tank is being pursued by another custom made vehicle. It had the same shaped prop at the front of it. It was the shape of a rhino’s head."

They go on to theorise that The Rhino might be involved in this chase scene, and while it's certainly not outside the realm of possibility, it doesn't seem overly likely. We've seen nothing from the set to indicate that the villain will appear,...

Spider-man: Brand New Day's Main Villain Has Yet To Be Revealed; Costume Unit Photos Leak Online
Image
Though Spidey is expected to throw down with The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the movie will reportedly feature a number of villains - and it seems the film's big bad has not been mentioned in any previous rumors.

Michael Mando's Scorpion has been confirmed to appear, and we have heard that Tombstone, Tarantula, Boomerang, and Ramrod will also be on hand to cause problems for the wall-crawler. However, Daniel Richtman believes that the movie's primary antagonist has yet to be disclosed.

"I can now tell you that the main villain of Spider-Man Brand New Day is None of the villains that we heard about. And it's not Mister Negative," writes the scooper.

As you might expect, this has ignited plenty of speculation online, and a lot of fans are hoping that Brand New Day will introduce a new take on Norman Osborn,...

Spider-man: Brand New Day Rumor Claims Sadie Sink Might Be Playing Jean Grey After All
Image
We got our first piece of major casting news for Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' then untitled Spider-Man movie back in March, with Stranger Things alum Sadie Sink set to join Tom Holland for his fourth solo outing as the wall-crawling hero.

At the time, Deadline's report mentioned that the "prevailing theory" is that she will play Jean Grey, but the site added that she could appear as "another beloved redheaded Spider-Man character."

There have been several rumors relating to Sink's role since, with some claiming that she's been cast as Mayday Parker, others certain that she's going to be Gwen Stacy, and we have also heard that she will actually be introduced as a new take on Mary Jane Watson (Zendaya plays "Mj" in the movies).

Now, we're back around to Jean Grey again!

During this week's episode of The Hot Mic, Jeff Sneider, who first reported on...

Peter Parker Visits [Spoiler] In Spider-man: Brand New Day Set Photos As Spidey Leaps Into Action In Glasgow
Image
Spider-Man: Brand New Day was shooting in Surrey, England, yesterday, and we now have some high-resolution shots of Tom Holland as Peter Parker. The hero's face shows some telltale signs of a brutal battle, suggesting this might be from later in the movie.

It's still hard to tell whether Zendaya was shooting scenes with Holland as Mj, though the actress is wearing her clothes and hair in a way that's not dissimilar to the McU's Michelle Jones.

Fake snow was being used for the scene where Peter leaves flowers at his Aunt May's grave, meaning his visit takes place during winter, similar to how things wrapped up in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Interestingly (or perhaps not), the shape of Aunt May's grave has changed. It's strange to see this prop look even slightly different when Marvel Studios is usually pretty good with continuity. Regardless, we wouldn't read too much into this fairly minor alteration.

Stranger Things star shuts down hopes of a season 5 return
Image
Even though it seem like it's still so far away, we're getting closer and closer to the release of Stranger Things season 5 on Netflix later this year. The over three-year wait has led to the final season finally arriving in three parts this holiday season, and as eagerly anticipate the drops this fall, there are still so many questions and possibilities left swirling in the air for fans to consider.

Obviously, we already know who will for sure will be returning for the final season of Stranger Things, with the main cast mostly unchanged from season 4. But over the course of the show's history, there have been more than a few main and supporting characters that we've lost along that way that fans still secretly hold out hope to reunite with again. (Eddie's at the top of that list!)

While there are surely plenty of surprises in store throughout the epic final season,...

Spider-man: Brand New Day Set Photo Seemingly Reveals Peter Parker's New Job - Possible Spoilers
Image
J.K. Simmons' take on J. Jonah Jameson was so iconic that The Amazing Spider-Man movies didn't revisit The Daily Bugle newsroom. In fact, we didn't see Jjj on screen again until 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home, where he was once again played by Simmons.

The McU's take on Jonah was very different, as he was reimagined as an Alex Jones-inspired shock jock instead of a newspaper Editor-in-Chief.

Jolly Jonah had a minor role as an antagonist in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and will surely continue to plague the wall-crawler in Spider-Man: Brand New Day (especially now that he no longer knows who is under the mask and will no doubt be eager to unmask New York's biggest "menace").

With all that in mind, the odds of us seeing Peter taking photos of Spidey for The Daily Bugle are slim. Now, a new shot from the movie's London set...

Explosions and Thrills: New ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Set Leaks Reveal Epic Action
Image
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to be the next big hit in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This movie is the 38th entry in the MCU and the fourth Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland as the web-slinging hero.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film’s script comes from writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, joined by a strong cast that includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and Michael Mando.

Sony started working on this new Spider-Man movie while finishing up No Way Home back in 2019. Producer Amy Pascal revealed in late 2021 that this film would kick off a fresh trilogy for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

The story development began around December of that year. McKenna and Sommers came back as writers in early 2023, and by October 2024, Destin Daniel Cretton was officially set to direct. The movie’s title,...

Rumor: Sadie Sink's Role In Spider-man: Brand New Day Has Finally Been Revealed - Spoilers
Image
Sadie Sink's mystery Spider-Man: Brand New Day role continues to be a hotly debated topic online, though we're still no closer to knowing for sure who the Stranger Things and O'Dessa star will play when she makes her MCU debut.

Jean Grey, Mayday Parker, and Black Cat are just a few of the names we've seen floating around since Sink's casting, but Kristan Harloff is reporting that he's heard a "pretty good guarantee" that Sink will play Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

She's certainly a good fit for Gwen, and with Peter Parker likely heading to college, it makes sense to add a character to the mix who defined those years for him in the comic books. If Sink is playing Gwen, we could see her become Spidey's new love interest or perhaps suit up as superhero herself.

In related news, Daniel Richtman is...

Spider-man: Brand New Day Set Photos See A Battered Peter Parker Reunite With [Spoiler]
Image
This week has seen us treated to all manner of spectacular action shots from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, Scotland. While work has continued there today, Tom Holland has just been spotted in London as Peter Parker...and he wasn't alone.

Zendaya was seen reprising her role as Michelle Jones, with Mj and Peter standing at Aunt May's graveside. This could be a repeat of Spider-Man: No Way Home's ending, where Peter spoke with Happy Hogan, who, thanks to Doctor Strange's spell, had no idea that he was his ex-girlfriend's nephew.

However, outside of Peter, Mj didn't have a connection to May, so it seems more likely that by this point in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, something has happened which has made it so that she finally remembers the man she loves.

Holland stopped to take a photo with fans, and poor Peter looks like...

Zendaya is officially back in the Spider-Man universe, and fans are thrilled. Photos from justbuzz.exe on TikTok gave everyone a first look at her on set with Tom Holland for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The scene was filmed in London, and it’s already got people talking.

The movie is the fourth in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man series and picks up after No Way Home (2021). It’s part of Phase Six in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is scheduled to come out in the U.S. on July 31, 2026. Zendaya returns as Mj, but it wasn’t always a sure thing.

Last year, there was a lot of confusion about whether she’d even be in the film. In November 2024, Zendaya had started working on The Odyssey with Holland, and that made things tricky.

The film is the fourth in the MCU’s Spider-Man series, following No Way Home from 2021. It’s part of Marvel’s Phase Six and is currently set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026. Zendaya’s return had been uncertain for a while, especially after she started working with Holland on The Odyssey.

There were even reports that her role might be cut down a lot because of scheduling conflicts. Jeff Sneider shared in December that her part had been “severely reduced” since she was also committed to filming Euphoria season 3 and Dune: Part Three around the same time.

Spider-man: Brand New Day Set Photos Feature Stunning New Practical Web-Swinging Shots
Image
Filming has paused on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, Scotland as the crew moves to a new location, but we do have a couple of stunning new practical web-swinging shots for you to take a look at while we wait for shooting to resume (hopefully tomorrow).

Shared by the Spider-Man: Brand New Day Updates page and photographer @lifearielly, these photos give us an amazing new look at Tom Holland's stunt-double in full costume as he swings through the city.

Previous set videos have confirmed that this will be part of a much more intricate action set piece, as the wall-crawler avoids explosions and falling debris while attempting to catch up with an armoured vehicle.

Though nothing has been confirmed, rumor has it that the sequence revolves around Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal - who is currently in New York shooting The Punisher Special Presentation) attempting to...

Will Spider-man: Brand New Day Reveal That The Punisher Is Leading The Hand? Possible Spoilers Follow
Image
In one of the first photos from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, we spotted a tank with a demonic symbol on the side. Many fans rushed to the conclusion that it must belong to the Inner Demons, but Mister Negative reportedly isn't set to appear in the movie.

While that's a little disappointing, if that symbol means what we think it does, it could be a game-changer for the MCU and, more specifically, The Punisher. He's supposedly the one driving that tank, and the symbol bears at least a passing resemblance to The Hand's.

There's already chatter about Japanese-inspired villains appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and The Hand's return would likely lead directly into Daredevil: Born Again season 3.

In the comics, Frank Castle was offered the chance to lead The Hand, but only agreed when they promised to resurrect his wife, Maria. Using the ninja organisation's immense resources,...

Final Stranger Things Season Sets Three-Stage 2025 Release
Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Natalia Dyer, Caleb McLaughlin, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Charlie Heaton, Noah Schnapp, and Gaten Matarazzo in Stranger Things (2016)
Netflix’s final trip to Hawkins will roll out in three waves—four episodes on November 26, three on Christmas Day and a feature-length finale on December 31—confirming that the fifth season of “Stranger Things” will close out 2025 rather than slip to 2026.

Series co-creator Matt Duffer, speaking on social media this week, called the opener “The Crawl” their most eventful premiere since 2016 and teased a second chapter with “the craziest cold open we’ve ever done.” He added that most regular episodes now cut between 60 and 90 minutes, while the finale could approach three hours, matching the cinematic scale promised when production wrapped last December.

Filming resumed in Atlanta in January after last year’s strikes and concluded with location work around Albuquerque; post-production teams are currently finishing over 2,000 visual-effects shots designed to merge Hawkins with the Upside Down in what Duffer called “our largest single set piece.”

The cast list widens...

New Evidence Suggests Spider-man: Brand New Day Will Feature A Samurai Villain - Will We See The Hand?
Image
Back in May, it was reported that Spider-Man: Brand New Day would feature two Japanese villains. Mister Negative is Chinese, not Japanese, meaning fans were left puzzled.

Later, there were reports of Silver Samurai and Viper appearing in the movie. That didn't make a ton of sense as neither are typically Spider-Man villains; instead, they're closely connected to the X-Men and, more specifically, Wolverine.

However, if we're getting a gang war story with multiple street-level bad guys, they could appear in a small supporting role, with the stage set for them to return in future MCU projects.

While we wait and see what happens with that, costume prop modeller Monica Avitto was discovered by fans (it's since been taken down) and includes a page titled "Spiderman" with dozens of Japanese and Samurai costumes, masks, and items.

Plans change all the time, of course, and these characters may have been dropped from the script long ago.

Spider-man: Brand New Day Hi-Res Set Photos Feature Some Iconic Poses And Plenty Of Aura - Spoilers
Image
Filming has yet to resume on Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow as we write this, but more photos from yesterday's shoot have just dropped and they're truly spectacular.

That wasn't Tom Holland in the suit yesterday, because there was a lot of stunt work going on, including some pretty impressive practical web-slinging. However, the actor's double is clearly well-versed in Spidey lore as he was spotted pulling off a few iconic poses.

We haven't been able to piece together fully what's happening in this sequence just yet. However, it's clearly a pursuit that has Spider-Man caught in the middle of the cops and whoever is driving that tank.

If online scoopers are to be believed, The Punisher is in the armoured vehicle, and he's chasing down a Department of Damage Control convoy, intending to inflict some lethal justice on The Scorpion.

It's not clear why Frank Castle has shifted his focus to superpowered threats,...

Finn Wolfhard Recalls Surreal Moment He Realized Stranger Things Was Really Ending
Image
Stranger Thingsstar Finn Wolfhard recalls the moment he knew that the series was really coming to an end.

Speaking to Variety, Wolfhard opened up about his attempts to ignore Stranger Things' impending end while filming the hit series' fifth and final season. "Everyone was thinking about the end and was down, and I would just be like, 'Yeah, but we're all here hanging out. It's fine,' And I would push it away," Wolfhard said.

He went on to note that things came to ahead on Dec. 20 while filming the series' grand finale on a sound stage in Atlanta, during which he noticed a massive crowd including everyone from his co-stars to Netflix executives. "I turned around from the monitors, and it was hundreds of people just hanging out for the first time in the same room after 10 years of working. And they were just watching." Rumor: Here's Why Sony Scrapped Plans To Pit Spider-man Against Venom And Knull In Brand New Day
Image
Shortly after Venom: The Last Dance's release last year, it was reported that Sony Pictures was planning to pit Spider-Man and Venom against Knull in Spider-Man 4.

The Venom threequel may have ended Eddie Brock's symbiosis with Venom, but it established Knull as a Multiversal threat. Of course, with a piece of the Venom Symbiote left on Earth 616, it was easy enough to imagine how Eddie might be reunited with his alien costume (and how it could lead to Peter Parker finally getting his black suit).

Venom: The Last Dance did so-so numbers at the box office, and while a Spider-Man crossover never happened, most fans weren't too upset about Tom Holland and Tom Hardy never sharing the screen.

Had Spider-Man: Brand New Day been released between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, the odds of Spidey meeting Venom would have likely been higher. Instead of more Multiversal madness,...

'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' Set Video Reveals Practical Swinging Stunts
Image
It's no secret that Spider-Man: Brand New Day is currently in production in Glasgow, Scotland, as fans have been treated to numerous images and videos from the explosive set. In a departure for the MCU franchise, director Destin Daniel Cretton is leaning on practical effects, and this sentiment extends far past Tom Holland's new Spidey suit, which has lit up the internet.

A newly surfaced video from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day has revealed that the film will feature practical swinging scenes, with the stunt actor for Spider-Man seen swinging from wire to wire in the streets of Glasgow. The explosive sequence being shot includes the titular hero chasing down some bad guys in tanks, and it seems he'll be getting quite close to the fire (literally). Although the previous films have not necessarily shied away from practical stunts (No Way Home was compromised due to the...

David Harbour claims filming Stranger Things season 5 'almost killed all of us'
Image
Fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of Stranger Things season 5 for a while, and with the official release date having been announced two months ago, the excitement has only grown stronger. With the first set of episodes dropping on Netflix this November, everyone is gearing up for what will surely be an exhilarating start to the final season.

The cameras officially stopped rolling on the fifth installment back in December 2024, and the new episodes are currently being edited to perfection in post-production. We've been trying to keep ourselves busy in the meantime while we wait for Stranger Things season 5, and luckily, the cast and crew have been keeping us pretty occupied by sharing behind-the-scenes stories and other juicy deets about the show.

One of those cast members is David Harbour, who plays the beloved Jim Hopper in the hit sci-fi horror series. During a recent appearance at FanX’s Tampa Bay Comic Convention,...

How Old Is Steve Harrington In Stranger Things?
Image
Because of the show's fraught production schedule over the last few seasons, it can be tricky at times to keep the "Stranger Things" timeline straight. The first season begins in November 1983. The core group of Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), and Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo) are in the fall of their seventh-grade year, while Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) and Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) are sophomores in high school. Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), who starts the series as more of an ineffectual villain before reforming his ways, is a junior, which would make him 16 or 17.

Since the first episode, the show has covered about two and a half years, with season 2 set a year after season 1 in 1984, season 3 taking place in the summer of 1985, and season 4 covering the spring of 1986. An official synopsis from Netflix released alongside the "Stranger Things" season 5 teaser trailer claims...

As work continues on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the rumour mill has started churning out some big claims about what we can expect from the next Marvel Studios movie.

Yesterday, we learned that Michael Mando's Scorpion will have a key role in the movie, but not as the main antagonist. We still don't know who that will be, but this movie might be teeing up an even bigger story for Mac Gargan in the MCU.

According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, the plan is for The Scorpion to eventually factor into Spider-Man 5, as well. That's all we have to go on for now, but this lends some weight to theories that, after Gargan is defeated here, he'll bond with the Venom Symbiote, essentially taking Eddie Brock's place in the MCU.

After all, if Peter Parker acquires the alien costume in Avengers: Secret Wars, then he can bring it back...

Lost And Hellboy Star Daniel Dae Kim Responds To Spider-man: Brand New Day Mister Negative Fan Casts
Image
Rumours continue to swirl about Mister Negative being in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, with Daniel Dae Kim's name often brought up by fans as a worthy choice to portray the villain.

Screen Rant recently spoke with the Hawaii Five-0 and KPop Demon Hunters star, and asked Kim whether he's aware of the Mister Negative fan casts.

"I heard something about that over the past six or seven months, and I saw that," the actor acknowledged. "I've seen that people want other Asian actors to play him as well, so I'm happy to be included in that conversation, but I haven't heard anything."

"It's interesting," Kim said of the character. "I'm always up for an interesting role and an interesting project."

On the page, Martin Li survived being trafficked and experimented on as a child, but ended up with a split personality: a benevolent philanthropist and a malevolent, energy-manipulating crimelord.

Finn Wolfhard Is Free of ‘Stranger Things’: Why His Last Day on Set Was a ‘Mindf—’ and How He Predicted the Duffer Brothers’ Spinoff
Image
Finn Wolfhard was determined to stay in the moment. “Everyone was thinking about the end and was down, and I would just be like, ‘Yeah, but we’re all here hanging out. It’s fine,’” he recalls. “And I would push it away.” On Dec. 20, there was no more denial. He was filming the grand finale on a stage in the show’s Atlanta studio and noticed a massive crowd, including no less than Netflix co-ceo Ted Sarandos, gathering. Among the throng, Wolfhard spotted cast members Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery and Maya Hawke, who all remained in Atlanta even though they wrapped production days earlier. “I turned around from the monitors, and it was hundreds of people just hanging out for the first time in the same room after 10 years of working. And they were just watching,” he remembers. “So if that wasn’t enough of a mindfuck there,...

Spidey Swings Through New York In Explosive Spider-man: Brand New Day Set Photos And Videos - Spoilers
Image
Work is once again underway on Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, Scotland, and Spidey is back in action as he swings through Midtown Manhattan.

Still in pursuit of the armoured vehicle thought to be part of The Punisher's new arsenal, the wall-crawler was even spotted leaping over a nearby explosion. Filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton is clearly prioritising practical action and stunts, and that should give this movie a very different feel.

It appears this sequence is being shot out of order, as we saw Spider-Man perched on top of this tank and attempting to break his way in on Sunday. If recent rumours are to be believed, Frank Castle is chasing down The Scorpion with the web-slinger in hot pursuit of them both.

There were concerns that Spider-Man: Brand New Day might be a full-blown Multiversal adventure, with Tom Holland's Peter Parker reunited with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men.

Spider-man: Brand New Day Set Video Finds Tom Holland's Stunt Double Practising Practical Web-Swinging Scenes
Image
Work has resumed on Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, and Tom Holland's stunt double has been spotted swinging through the streets of the Scottish city that's currently doubling for New York.

We've had web-swinging in the other Spider-Man movies produced by Marvel Studios, but it wasn't until Spider-Man: No Way Home's closing moments that fans were treated to a proper "final swing" through Manhattan. Now that he's a street-level superhero, it looks like we can expect Spidey to swing between the Big Apple's skyscrapers, at last.

The stunt double isn't suited up (yet), but it looks like he'll be pursuing this tank—which may or may not belong to The Punisher—first through the skies, and later when he lands on top and attempts to stop the driver.

The biggest takeaway here, of course, is that this is being done practically rather than with visual effects. While...

Spider-Man: Brand New Day set video catches a preview of explosive action; another villain name emerges from the rumor mill
Ralph Fiennes in Spider (2002)
August 1st is Spider-Man Day, and Marvel Studios and Sony marked the occasion by starting production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth in the Tom Holland series of Spidey movies. Filming is currently taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, with the city standing in for New York City – and bystanders have gotten a glimpse of some interesting stuff. Not only did Holland greet fans in full costume, but there’s even a video taken on the set that gives a glimpse of some explosive action! I won’t go into detail here to avoid Spoilers – but if you don’t mind spoilers, check out the video at the bottom of this article! Along the way, we’ll also talk about the latest villain name to emerge from the rumor mill.

Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) is directing Spider-Man: Brand New Day from a screenplay by Chris McKenna,...

Spider-man: Brand New Day Rumors Tease Kraven's Last Hunt-Inspired Tone, Plans For The Punisher And Scorpion
Image
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is finally taking shape ahead of its release in theaters next July, and we now have some rumoured new details courtesy of scooper Daniel Richtman.

It's no secret that the movie will deal with the aftermath of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with Peter Parker living in a world where no one remembers who he is. It probably won't surprise you to learn that the movie will have a darker tone, with Richtman comparing it to Kraven's Last Hunt.

The presence of characters like The Punisher and The Hulk has led fans to question whether this is going to be a dark, street-level adventure or another Avengers-adjacent blockbuster, and it seems it will be more the former than the latter.

Richtman emphasises that by pointing out that The Punisher will be his usual murderous, psychotic self, wielding advanced weaponry that helps him deal with threats like Spider-Man...

Spider-man: Brand New Day Set Photo Reveals A Major Practical Change To The Wall-Crawler's Mask
Image
Spider-Man: Brand New Day paused production today thanks to the Scottish weather, but work will hopefully resume tomorrow. What we'll see next from the movie's set remains to be seen, but we know filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton is shooting a major action sequence.

One overlooked photo has gained traction on social media this afternoon for hinting at a major, long-awaited change to the MCU Spider-Man's mask.

As you can see, Holland is wearing a protective face covering under the web-slinger's mask, which means it doesn't conform too closely to the shape of his head and retains a smooth, comic book-like surface. However, we see this headgear extends around the actor's jaw in a way that ensures that when Spidey speaks, the mask will move at the same time as his mouth.

This effect was achieved with VFX in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, so...

Spider-man: Brand New Day Set Photos Give Us Another Full Look At Tom Holland's New Spidey Suit
Image
Storm Floris has caused a brief delay in production on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in Glasgow, Scotland, with filming expected to resume at some point tomorrow. We do have some new photos and videos from yesterday's shoot, however.

Though there's nothing particularly revealing here (unless you haven't seen the previous photos yet), photographer @UnboxPHD has shared some more shots of Tom Holland in his updated costume and mask, giving us another full look at the actor in his latest Spidey suit as he walks towards the camera.

Holland took some time to pose for pictures with a kid he spotted dressed as Spider-Man, and the lad's father has also shared some photos of his own.

Rumor has it that the action set piece being filmed revolves around Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal - who is currently in New York shooting The Punisher Special Presentation) attempting to run the...

Spider-man: Brand New Day Star Tom Holland Shares Photos Of Spidey On Set As Fans Spot Possible Wolverine Nod
Image
Spider-Man: Brand New Day has paused filming in Glasgow, Scotland, today due to poor weather. That means no more set photos until tomorrow at the earliest, but Tom Holland himself has just shared some official behind-the-scenes shots.

In those, we see Spidey, mask and all, atop the armoured vehicle he chases through the streets of New York City. The Punisher is believed to be in the driving seat as he pursues a Department of Damage Control convoy transporting The Scorpion.

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures were prepared for set leaks, so they shared an official look at Spidey's suit in advance. The mask wasn't showcased in that video, but based on what we see here and in other photos, the design is...amazing.

The wall-crawler's costume has undergone a few minor tweaks since it was first shown at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, with most of those likely...

Spider-man: Brand New Day Star Michael Mando Teases Scorpion's Comic-Accurate Costume...And Venom?!
Image
Shortly before the weekend, we learned that Spider-Man: Homecoming star Michael Mando will make his long-awaited MCU return as Mac Gargan, a.k.a. the Scorpion, in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Now, the actor has taken to Instagram to tease both a comic-accurate costume...and Venom?! There have been some rumblings about the alien costume factoring into this movie for a while now, though its introduction still seems like something the Russo Brothers would want to tackle in Avengers: Secret Wars, setting the stage for Spider-Man 5.

Mando, however, may be looking further ahead. After Scorpion is inevitably defeated in this movie, he could eventually take Eddie Brock's place in the MCU by becoming Venom once Peter Parker rids himself of the Symbiote. As you'll likely recall from the comics, Gargan's Venom was far more lethal and deranged than Brock ever was.

The Better Call Saul alum also appeared to...

Tom Holland Responds if Jon Bernthal’s Punisher is in Spider-Man 4
Image
Tom Holland was recently asked whether Jon Bernthal‘s Punisher is in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Holland stopped to chat with fans waiting in line to see him while he was currently filming for his upcoming MCU flick on the streets of Glasgow.

The clip was shared on Instagram, and despite having a history of spoiling major plotlines in Marvel movies, Tom Holland kept a tight lip this time around (which wasn’t even necessary). When a fan questioned Holland, “Tom, is Punisher in the film?”, here’s what the Uncharted star had for an answer:

You gotta wait and see, mate.

Tom Holland Teases ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ With Behind-the-Scenes Set Photos

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is officially on its way.

Tom Holland celebrated production on his fourth Spider-Man film kicking off with a few behind-the-scenes photos. On Instagram, the English actor shared two pictures of himself on set, notably in his brand-new Spidey suit.

In the shots, Holland stood on top of a military-like automobile with a stunt wire attached to his body. “Spider-Man Brand New Day 1,” he wrote in the caption of the post.

Spider-man: Brand New Day Set Photos Reveal HD Shots Of The New Suit And Mask As Video Shows Spidey In Action
Image
Earlier today, we brought you a first look at Tom Holland on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The web-spinner's new mask has finally been revealed, and some HD shots of the hero have just been shared on Instagram.

In the post, you'll find a costume that's arguably the most comic-accurate suit this character has ever worn in the MCU. Taking all the best parts of the three live-action suits worn by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland on screen, the result is a design that's been met with widespread approval.

Rumour has it that The Punisher is in the armoured vehicle, with Frank Castle chasing down a Department of Damage Control convoy transporting The Scorpion. Why the vigilante wants Mac Gargan this badly remains to be seen.

A rumoured plot synopsis from earlier this year does now appear to be the real deal based on recent casting news,...

[Watch] Tom Holland Swings Back in Full Suit on ‘Spider‑Man: Brand New Day’ Set

Tom Holland is back in action as Spider-Man, and fans are already buzzing with excitement. Filming for the new movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, kicked off on August 1, 2025, in Glasgow, Scotland. The working title for the shoot is “Blue Oasis,” and it’s being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with Brett Pawlak returning as cinematographer.

Filming had been expected to start earlier in the year, but schedules were shifted to fit around Holland’s other work. Locations include the Merchant City area, George Square, and Trongate.

Fans watching from the streets have spotted one of the film’s big action sequences being shot. Some lucky fans even managed to meet Holland himself, fully suited up as Spider-Man.

Spider-man: Brand New Day Set Photos Finally Reveal Spidey's New Mask And His Back Logo
Image
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shooting in Glasgow, Scotland, and we finally have a first look at the wall-crawler's new mask. Many fans had expressed a desire to see a design inspired by artists like Mark Bagley and Todd McFarlane, but this is 100% Steve Ditko/John Romita Sr.

With the new suit borrowing heavily from those worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: No Way Home and their respective solo outings, it's not overly surprising that Peter #1's mask has remained largely the same (though the lenses do look larger in some shots).

While this homemade suit isn't outfitted with Stark Tech, we'd bet on those lenses still moving so that Tom Holland's web-slinger can express emotion. With a significantly bigger design, that might have been trickier to achieve in a believable way.

Whether we'll get to see characters like The Punisher and Scorpion on Spider-Man:...

Spider-man: Brand New Day Set Photo Reveals Tom Holland Suited Up, Including His Amazing Web-Shooters
Image
Tom Holland has arrived on the Spider-Man: Brand New Day set, and he's in full costume...minus the mask. Is Peter Parker going to head into battle with his face on full display? It's happened before, but we're hearing rumblings from set that he's since donned it.

In the meantime, this photo offers a much closer look at the hero's new web-shooters, with a red and grey design that feels very comic book-inspired. As for the suit itself, it's the same one we saw at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, albeit with a few minor cosmetic tweaks.

By the time Spider-Man: Brand New Day is released, Holland will have been playing the McU's Spidey for a decade. The expectation is that he'll star in at least one more trilogy for Marvel Studios, though he's also expressed a desire to pass the mantle to a young actor playing Miles Morales.

Rumor: Four More Spider-man: Brand New Day Villains Revealed, Including One We Never Expected To See
Image
On Friday, it was confirmed that Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo have joined Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Now, the wall-crawler has The Punisher, The Scorpion, and The Hulk to deal with, not to mention whoever Sadie Sink is playing.

Today, we have news on more villains set to take centre stage in the movie, and there's one addition who it's fair to say none of us expected to see in the MCU movie.

According to scooper Daniel Richtman, "Some of the villains in Spider-Man Brand New Day are Tombstone, Tarantula, Boomerang, Scorpion and...Ramrod, who's a half cyborg."

Who's Ramrod? First introduced in 1973's Daredevil #103, Ramrod was a construction crew worker gravely injured in a work-related accident. The villains Kerwin Broderick and Moondragon hoped to take over San Francisco, so transformed Ramrod into a half-man, half-cyborg monstrosity whom they blackmailed into doing their bidding.

Filming for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially kicked off, and fans are already buzzing. Production began on August 1, 2025, in Glasgow, Scotland, and it didn’t take long before photos and videos from the set started making their way online.

Over the past couple of days, two full glimpses of Tom Holland’s new Spider-Man costume have been revealed. The suit, shown off in teasers and leaked set shots, has already made waves online.

According to Cosmic Media, who shared both videos on X, fans are in for plenty of action. But the excitement doesn’t stop at the suit. Some of the set photos from Glasgow also show armored vehicles marked with a red demon logo. Reports pointed out that the...
