Johnny Bananas blasts The Challenge castmate Devin Walker for having ‘identity crisis’
Jake Cornish, Izzy Fairthorne, Olivia Kaiser, Justin Hinsley, Chris 'C.T.' Tamburello, Blue Kim, Dee Valladares, Leonardo Dionicio, Johnny 'Bananas' Devenanzio, Cara Maria Sorbello, and Leroy Garrett in The Challenge (1998)
There’s no love lost between The Challenge stars Johnny Bananas and Devin Walker. That’s especially true after their drama on Battle of the Eras.

The iconic Season 40 on MTV featured them competing on different Era teams, and each wanted to one-up the other.

Following Bananas’ suggestion to Devin’s showmance, Michele Fitzgerald, that she be careful with him, things went off the rails between Devin and Bananas.

Unfortunately for Devin, Bananas had the last laugh. Devin’s castmates with power sent him into an elimination match against promising newcomer Kyland Young, which Devin lost.

Despite that, Devin’s now-girlfriend, Michele, remained in the game with his close friend, Tori Deal, and endured Bananas’s wrath.

On a recent episode of the Death, Taxes and Bananas podcast, The Challenge’s winningest player blasted Devin as a cast member, explaining his issues with him.

The Challenge’s Sarah Rice announces she’s considering returning to compete
After a surprising and dramatic moment left her penniless for a win, Sarah Rice seems ready for a return to The Challenge.

However, the former show winner seems to have an essential condition for her return, and many fans also had one.

Sarah, who viewers last saw on the Rivals III season with Johnny Bananas, appeared in a new social video that her friend Mark Long shared with fans.

Mark prefaced the X clip with a message, suggesting he’s “been putting in Work for #TheChallengeAllStars6 push.”

“She’s healthy, she’s smart, and she’s ready to take the crown,” he explained.

“Who thinks Sarah needs a redemption story?” Mark asked, using the hashtag “WeWantOGs.”

Sarah shared a message with The Challenge fans about her potential return

In a one-minute-long video clip, Sarah seemed to indicate it’s time for a return to The Challenge.

Johnny 'Bananas' Devenanzio
The Challenge’s Johnny Bananas says he and Turbo Camkiran ‘finally had a breakthrough’ after past issues
Johnny 'Bananas' Devenanzio
Johnny Bananas revealed that he and castmate Turabi “Turbo” Camkiran experienced a “breakthrough” several years after their last season of The Challenge.

While former Survivor Turkey winner Turbo gained additional fame by winning MTV’s War of the Worlds in his rookie season, his next season included some heated moments.

That included an explosive altercation with Jordan Wiseley and threats toward production staff or security.

With that, Turbo was separated from the cast and kicked off his second season. It wasn’t until Ride or Dies that he returned to The Challenge along with a partner not many fans knew of.

He quickly put himself and his partner on everyone’s radars due to his combative and abrasive attitude.

That included his former friend, Nany Gonzalez, who just happened to be partnered with Bananas. Despite Bananas’ attempts to joke around, Turbo wasn’t having it and took offense to his remarks.

The Challenge’s Frank Sweeney Fox addresses his potential retirement after All Stars Rivals
Zach Nichols in The Real World (1992)
After he spent 12 years away from reality television, Frank Sweeney Fox finally returned for The Challenge: All Stars Rivals.

He teamed up with his former The Real World: San Diego roommate, Sam McGinn, for the spinoff to try to conquer another final.

While they succeeded in winning MTV’s Battle of the Seasons years ago with Zach Nichols and Ashley Kelsey, they had to settle for third place on Rivals.

With the season concluded, many fans are likely wondering if they’ll see Frank in another season of the show, whether on MTV or elsewhere.

While the status of another All Stars season filming is unclear, MTV’s flagship is still filming. The Challenge Season 41 spoilers recently revealed new champions.

However, Frank delivered a shocking announcement while chatting with his former roommate and castmate, Zach Nichols.

The Challenge’s Adam Larson says he asked Averey Tressler to marry him ‘about a thousand times’
Image
Four teams battled to win The Challenge: All Stars Rivals in the final, but ultimately, Road Rules stars-turned-rivals Adam Larson and Steve Meinke captured first place.

The duo outlasted teams including experienced finalists Nicole Zanatta with Melissa Reeves, and former show winners Frank Sweeney Fox and Sam McGinn.

Host Tj Lavin then sprang one of those infamous twists on the winners. He made them enter separate rooms and choose whether they thought their teammate would split or steal the $250,000 prize for first place.

Luckily for them, they both said they would split the prize money, meaning they got to do just that, rather than compete in a playoff to determine a solo winner.

The surprises didn’t end there, though. As The Challenge: All Stars credits rolled, Adam appeared in a confessional interview with a message for his castmate and girlfriend Averey Tressler.

In his message, he told Averey to...

The Challenge spoilers: Surprising season 41 finalists include power couple
Jordan Wiseley
The Challenge Season 41 final is approaching, and spoilers reveal which cast members will compete for significant prize money.

Season 39 was Battle for a New Champion, and Emanuel Neagu won the solo prize, with Nurys Mateo finishing second.

For Season 40, it was Battle of the Eras, which saw Jordan Wiseley win another season for the men. Jenny West and Rachel Robinson finished in a first-place tie for the women.

In Season 41, viewers might see a pair of new champions, as only one who has previously won The Challenge remains.

The other competitors include former finalists and first-time cast members vying for the win.

The Challenge star Johnny Bananas blasts claims he made racist remarks to his castmate
Image
Johnny Bananas fired back at the backlash he received online after his remarks to a castmate went viral.

The Challenge star last appeared in MTV’s Battle of the Eras season, reaching the final with seven other castmates from a 40-person season.

However, Bananas didn’t add another championship, finishing in third place and receiving a smaller portion of the prize pool.

Following that, he also got snubbed as the competition show’s greatest competitor of all time, as castmates unanimously voted Season 40 winner Jordan Wiseley over Bananas.

In addition to appearing on The Challenge, he’s been going on other reality TV shows, including Peacock’s The Traitors and E!’s House of Villains.

His latest was the Netflix dating show, Pop the Balloon, where his comments to a cast member drew the ire of some critics.

Jordan Wiseley
After several recent eliminations on The Challenge Season 41, only select competitors remain with a chance to win the final.

Among them are rookie hopefuls and experienced vets looking to collect significant cash for finishing ahead of their opponents.

Jenny West finished first for the women, and Rachel Robinson moved into a first-place tie due to the Karma points twist.

However, Season 41 could feature some first-time winners as many Challenge champions went home earlier than anticipated.

The Challenge’s Devin Walker addresses speculation that Season 40 was rigged
Derrick Kosinski in The Challenge (1998)
Following The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, some fans may have thought that production rigged aspects of the show to help specific castmates.

One thing fans and castmates called out included an elimination event involving Horacio Gutierrez and Derrick Kosinski.

In addition, Jordan Wiseley and fans pointed out a significant daily challenge mistake involving Jenny West, Cara Maria Sorbello, and Tori Deal.

Devin Walker was there for some of the season, but castmate Kyland Young eliminated him in Episode 9.

The Challenge’s Turbo Camkiran called out by former castmate for All Stars Rival behavior
Image
Many of The Challenge fans have a love-and-hate view of former winner Turabi “Turbo” Camkiran due to his unique personality and funny antics.

After several seasons off, he returned for MTV’s Ride or Dies and ended up butting heads with multiple castmates, including his former friend Nany Gonzalez.

That led to a quick exit via elimination, but Turbo is back again, teamed up with Nany on The Challenge: All Stars Rivals.

While he mainly seemed mellow throughout the first half of the season, he unleashed on his castmates in a recent episode.

Turbo chose to take over a living room area in the All Stars house and then complained about his castmates leaving a mess and being noisy when he was trying to sleep.

That resulted in him arguing with Adam Larson. As Nany tried to calm things down, Melissa Reeves and Turbo got into a shouting match.

Many fans were excited to see Amber Borzotra return to The Challenge after a brief hiatus from the show.

After giving birth to her and boyfriend Chauncey Palmer’s daughter, Amber took some time off before returning for the All Stars Rivals spin-off season.

Her rival teammate was Faysal “Fessy” Shafaat, following their previous feuds from Double Agents and Spies, Lies & Allies.

They lasted through at least half of the All Stars Rivals season but fell in elimination to castmates Nany Gonzalez and Turabi “Turbo” Camkiran.

Ahead of that, many individuals in the house scrambled to try to avoid elimination, but certain players were working with way more allies and had more pull.

Brad Fiorenza and his beard returned to The Challenge in the past several years, first competing on the All Stars spin-offs before appearing in several of MTV’s flagship seasons.

He arrived at Battle For a New Champion as one of the former winners that competed in one elimination as a mercenary. Viewers saw Kyland Young defeat him.

Brad competed on Season 40, aka Battle of the Eras, where he was part of the Era 1 team with other MTV OGs.

However, viewers saw the OGs quickly eliminated from the show, except for Rachel Robinson, who won along with Jordan Wiseley and Jenny West. Brad survived until Episode 6, when Cory Wharton eliminated him.

The Challenge’s Mark Long teases return of iconic theme and former castmates to All Stars

The Challenge: All Stars is airing Season 5, featuring the classic Rivals theme from previous seasons.

Among the teams are Nany Gonzalez with Turabi “Turbo” Camkiran, Faysal “Fessy” Shafaat with Amber Borzotra, Veronica Portillo with Katie Cooley, and Ashley Mitchell with Aneesa Ferreira.

Former showmance couple Dario Medrano and Ashley Kelsey seem to get along despite their differences.

The Challenge star Johnny Bananas blasted by former castmates as ‘getting a little cringe’

If Johnny Bananas were to appear on The Challenge: All Stars Rivals, he would likely have a group of suitable teammates.

One of the most notable would be former show winner Sarah Rice, who stopped doing The Challenge after her infamous reality TV moment with Bananas as her partner.

Fittingly, she and Bananas were teammates on one of the original MTV Rivals seasons, with Bananas opting to leave her penniless and keep all the prize money after they won the final.

Sarah previously won Battle of the Exes II with Jordan Wiseley as her teammate. Bananas felt betrayed by Sarah, whom he’d considered a friend and ally that season.

The Challenge’s Johnny Bananas slammed by fans over his new venture: ‘Don’t do this’

With The Challenge: Battle of the Eras season concluded on MTV, Johnny Bananas appears to have found a new side hustle, but not all fans are buying it.

The seven-time MTV champion just finished Season 40, finishing third place amongst the men, as he watched castmate Jordan Wiseley capture another title.

Just recently, Bananas claimed that the unique twist, known as the Karma Vote, was added to the season to prevent him from achieving his eighth win.

He called it the “Envy Vote” and accused other castmates of being jealous and giving him lower scores to prevent him from finishing in first place.

In the past several years, he has expanded his reality TV resume by appearing on other shows, including Peacock’s The Traitors and E!’s House of Villains.

However, within the past few days, he teased that he had something big coming to social media, and he is...

Johnny Bananas claims The Challenge used ‘Envy vote’ twist against him on Season 40
Rachel Robinson
The Challenge: Battle of the Eras is in the books with co-champions Jenny West and Rachel Robinson for the women, alongside Jordan Wiseley for the men.

However, many fans believe a significant twist ruined things for Season 40 and how the final standings went.

Count Johnny Bananas among them, as his third-place finish doesn’t seem to sit well with him due to the Karma Vote.

That twist allowed eliminated castmates to assign scores on a scale of one to five to all of the remaining competitors. A five was the best score possible, while a one was the worst.

Production and Tj Lavin indicated that the eliminated cast members gave points based on how they felt that particular castmate treated them and others.

However, some of these scores may have been based on ill will because that castmate sent them into elimination during the season. Some castmates may have assigned...

The Challenge winner Jenny West says she ‘still deserved to win’ after Season 40 controversy
Rachel Robinson
Jenny West was one of three winners of MTV’s The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, but some fans weren’t happy she even reached the final.

The Total Madness winner returned after several years away from the competition series and performed impressively in her second-straight final.

Due to a Karma Vote twist, which many fans disagreed with, she finished in a tie for first place with her friend and ally, Rachel Robinson.

However, she also won several daily challenges to gain safety from eliminations or power in the game.

One of those daily challenges caused controversy, as Jordan Wiseley and fans pointed out that she hadn’t finished her puzzle correctly after MTV aired Episode 17.

The Challenge Season 40 winner Jordan Wiseley calls himself ‘a killer’ and castmate ‘obsessed’
Image
Jordan Wiseley stood tall once again as a champion on The Challenge, dominating the Battle of the Eras final against three other men.

With that win, he picked up his fifth overall and first since winning The Challenge: World Championship spinoff with Kaz Crossley.

Some may now consider him the greatest of all time on the competition show, while others feel he has some work to do.

And his road to potentially winning more championships could get more challenging in the future based on rising stars like Kyland Young.

The former Big Brother star reached his first final in Season 40 but quickly realized how tough the grueling competitions can be, with the swim-heavy events part of his fourth-place finish.

Jordan recently discussed comments that Johnny Bananas made about their fellow finalist compared to himself.

The Challenge’s Michele Fitzgerald says ’thank you everyone’ for Season 40 as fans claim she was ‘robbed’
Image
The Challenge: Battle of the Eras season officially concluded as eight competitors ran, or swam, through the final.

It featured a dominant performance on the men’s side, as Jordan Wiseley outdid his fellow finalists every step of the way.

The women’s side also featured strong performances, including Michele Fitzgerald showing her swimming skills.

However, the Karma Vote twist came into play later, and while it didn’t affect the men’s standings, it certainly impacted the women’s.

Host Tj Lavin revealed Michele dropped from second to third place due to her Karma points. Meanwhile, Rachel Robinson’s Karma score helped her move from third to a tie for first place with Jenny West.

Following the episode airing on MTV, Michele commented about her Season 40, in which many fans believe she was “robbed” in the final.

The Challenge fans slam Season 40 final for Karma Vote and claim one competitor was ‘robbed’
T.J. Lavin
The Challenge: Battle of the Eras final officially ended, and the winners were revealed after battling through swimming, singing, coin counting, and puzzles.

After each checkpoint, host Tj Lavin revealed who finished in first place, second, third, and fourth.

However, he didn’t hesitate to remind competitors about the Karma Vote and how it might come back to help or hurt a finalist.

That twist arrived earlier in the season, as Tj told eliminated cast members to stay behind after they lost in eliminations or a purge.

Each could award one to five points to the remaining castmates based on how they felt about them. A one was the lowest score, with five being the highest.

With the finalists unaware of this throughout the season, it meant how they treated others in the game could come back to bite them. Fans voiced frustration, indicating one competitor got “robbed” by the twist in the final standings.

‘The Challenge’ 40 Winners Rachel Robinson & Jenny West on That Karma Points Twist & Those Elimination Rumors
Image
The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras has crowned its winners, and it turns out that the karma points were indeed a deciding factor in the finale. While Jordan Wiseley won every single checkpoint for the guys and left no room for a vote-based adjustment on the guys’ side, the results were a bit narrower for the women. Ultimately, Jenny West‘s performance in the two-day final was enough to pull her to a victory, but thanks to Rachel Robinson‘s massive karma points advantage, she ended up leapfrogging would-be second-placer Michele Fitzgerald and tying Jenny for the win, which meant they got to split the pots for both first and second places and brought Eras I and IV to victory. For Jenny and Rachel, that shared victory is doubly sweet; not only did they each take home a nice chunk of change to their respective families, but they also...

‘The Challenge 40: Battle of Eras’ Crowns Multiple Winners After Powerful Karma Votes Change the Game
Image
Spoiler Alert: This post contains spoilers from “The End of An Era, Part 2,” the Jan. 8 finale of “The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras,” which aired on MTV.

For one “Challenge” competitor, “Karma’s a relaxing thought.” And for another, it’s the opposite.

The Season 40 finale of “Battle of the Eras” aired on Wednesday night, revealing that the karma votes — each player was able to give 1-5 points to each player before they were sent home — had much more power than some assumed.

After part one of the finale, it was no surprise that part two featured a lot more swimming… and a lot of Jordan Wiseley winning. In fact, Jordan won six individual challenges throughout the season, didn’t go into one elimination and won every single checkpoint during the final.

After staying up most of the night counting coins and singing, the group began day two with another swimming and rowing checkpoint,...

The Challenge’s Zach Nichols slams Season 40’s Karma Vote during ‘most dominant’ performance in a final
Image
Zach Nichols slammed The Challenge: Battle of the Eras for its Karma Vote twist, suggesting it could show that the final is “rigged” if Jordan Wiseley loses.

The former Real World star and Battle of the Seasons winner believes viewers are getting to see one of the most dominant performances ever in a final from the multi-time winner.

As of this writing, MTV has aired the first part of the Season 40 final, with Jordan the clear frontrunner among the men, including Derek Chavez, Kyland Young, and seven-time winner Johnny Bananas.

Jordan had finished ahead of his castmates in multiple events, much of which was due to the amount of swimming involved and because he solved puzzles.

To get there, Jordan survived the entire season without facing a single elimination, while his castmate Bananas went in twice and won to keep his spot in the game.

The Challenge star Johnny Bananas says fan ‘biases’ exist against him as show’s greatest competitor
Johnny 'Bananas' Devenanzio
With a fan debate constantly raging over who The Challenge’s all-time greatest competitor is, Johnny Bananas said fan “biases” make some choose other players over him.

Bananas just reached his 11th MTV final on Battle of the Eras and is looking to add to his record of seven seasons won.

However, he’s up against MTV finals newcomers Derek Chavez and Kyland Young and another player mentioned among the greatest: Jordan Wiseley.

In the earlier part of Season 40, viewers saw Chris “Ct” Tamburello from the Era 1 team bow out after getting upset during an elimination battle against Nehemiah Clark.

Ct’s five championships rank him with Bananas in fan discussions and debates about who the all-time greatest competitor is.

During a recent podcast chat with fellow Season 40 finalist Kyland, Bananas discussed why more fans do not consider him the show’s greatest.

The Challenge fans blast Season 40 final as a ‘joke’ and ‘one of the worst’ due to twist and format
Image
Fans of The Challenge expressed frustration with the Battle of the Eras final due to its format and a unique twist introduced earlier in the season.

The first part of the final officially began in the recently aired episode End of an Era Part 1, as the eight finalists started onboard the Sinister ship.

The finalists included former winners Johnny Bananas, Jordan Wiseley, Jenny West, Tori Deal, and Rachel Robinson, as well as first-time MTV finalists Kyland Young, Michele Fitzgerald, and Derek Chavez.

Host Tj Lavin introduced them to the various tasks they’d compete in, which included swimming back and forth from the ship to various locations to complete checkpoints.

After each checkpoint, Tj informed the competitors who finished first through fourth place for the men and women.

However, at the start of the final, Tj informed them that castmates had cast Karma votes throughout the season, which would determine who won.

Tori Deal decided to show love to a good cause by returning some of her winnings from The Challenge: Battle of the Eras.

The Ride or Dies winner competed in Season 40 as part of Era 3, along with teammates Devin Walker, Cory Wharton, Nia Moore, Jordan Wiseley, and others.

As the season progressed, Tori and Jordan became two of the more formidable players. They advanced to Tj Lavin’s final and were favorites to win it.

Along the way, they won multiple daily challenges, thanks to their array of skills in various competitions.

In Episode 16, viewers saw the competitors come in a first-time-ever event called Fire Plunge. It involved them hotwiring a convertible to get it to start and drive off a cliff.

As the car dove off the cliff, the competitor seated inside was yanked out thanks to a harness they wore. They then dropped into the water and...

The Challenge’s Kyland Young addresses Jenny West’s controversial Season 40 win in daily challenge
Jordan Wiseley
The Challenge: Battle of the Eras has been full of controversies surrounding some of the show’s daily challenges and eliminations.

Among them, a recently aired episode of Season 40 featured former winner Jenny West, who won a critical event since it was one of the last daily challenges before the final.

It kept her safe from going into elimination and allowed her to participate in the chamber where Jordan Wiseley would decide which woman to send into The Arena.

However, Jordan shared a screenshot after the episode aired, showing that Jenny’s puzzle wasn’t accurate.

Fans called out The Challenge production for the missed error, which cost other women that critical win.

Battle of the Eras star Kyland Young leaned towards defending production and his castmate following the episode.

The Challenge Season 40, also known as Battle of the Eras, is nearing its final episode. Eight competitors will attempt to win significant money in host Tj Lavin’s final.

Along with Derek, former champions Johnny Bananas and Jordan Wiseley are back in another final. Big Brother star Kyland Young officially reached his first-ever final.

The Challenge fans slam Season 40 for ‘absolute joke’ elimination between former winners
Image
Two of The Challenge’s all-time greats battled for the last spot in Tj Lavin’s final for Season 40, but fans were disappointed at the elimination event.

It came down to former show winners Cara Maria Sorbello and Tori Deal, who had surprisingly become closer than ever before as friends and allies in Battle of the Eras.

The daily challenge, Bricks Fortress, involved players carrying bricks out of a castle and retrieving wooden boards to assemble a puzzle.

The men’s and women’s players who got their puzzles right first would win the event and get to decide who went into elimination.

The man and woman who finished behind the rest of their opponents would lose. The women’s loser went straight to the last elimination.

It ended up being Tori Deal finishing last, so daily winner Jordan Wiseley couldn’t save her from going into the elimination.

The Challenge’s Jordan Wiseley calls out possible mistake with Season 40 daily challenge winner
Image
Jordan Wiseley seemingly spotted a mistake with one of his castmate’s puzzles during The Challenge: Battle of the Eras.

In the recently-aired Episode 17, viewers watched a frantic daily challenge, with everyone trying to win ahead of the upcoming final.

However, it was crucial for the women, as Cara Maria Sorbello, Jenny West, and Rachel Robinson were targets facing the last women’s elimination. Tori Deal and Michele Fitzgerald also wanted to perform well.

The first-place woman for the event was safe from elimination and got to choose who would go into elimination.

The last-place woman would automatically go into the elimination event at The Arena.

Their difficult daily challenge, Fortress Bricks, involved carrying a specific amount of cinder blocks out of a castle before retrieving long wooden boards, which were puzzle pieces.

‘The Challenge’ Star Cara Maria Sorbello Reveals Why 40 Was the ‘Most Fun Season’ for Her
Image
It’s almost final time on The Challenge Season 40, but Wednesday’s (December 18) episode, “Location Change Era,” saw the elimination of one last contestant before the next phase could commence. Cara Maria Sorbello had a stellar season, outlasting 15 other women — including all of Era II’s other girls — along with winning the “40-Yard Dash” challenge and surviving an early elimination bout. Coming into the first pre-final daily challenge, it seemed like she might have an advantage; a race through a fortress with various checkpoints is awfully reminiscent of the setting of her big solo victory on Vendettas. However, Jenny West just had the grit to get it done, and after Tori Deal finished last and was automatically sent to the arena, Jenny and fellow daily winner Jordan Wiseley picked Cara Maria to go into the sand against her … only this time, it was the water, and Cara Maria is famously no fan of water challenges.

‘The Challenge’s’ Cory Wharton on elimination and his rivalry with Josh: ‘Everything he says is bulls—!’
Image
Cory Wharton‘s string of elimination wins on “The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras” ended at three when he was finally taken out Wednesday night by Derek Chavez. The two battled it out in the arena after Derek lost the Daily Challenge and Cory was sent into the sand by default — he was the only target available since Jordan Wiseley won this week and Derek lost. The two built a puzzle made of cinder blocks in “Closing Time,” and Derek was able to finish first. Watch Cory’s exit interview with Gold Derby above.

“I avoided puzzles for as long as I could,” Cory tells Gold Derby. “It was only a matter of time. That time was the fourth elimination of the season. Derek had a better strategy going into it than I did, and he executed his strategy better. You win some, you lose some, and I lost that one.

The Challenge’s Nehemiah Clark addresses ‘extremely unfair’ firing of former cast member
Nehemiah Clark in The Real World (1992)
Nehemiah Clark defended a former member cast member that The Challenge fired from the show after “offensive remarks.”

Among them was Dee Nguyen, who debuted on The Challenge: War of the Worlds, following her Geordie Shore appearance.

Dee rose to fame as a cast member when she returned for War of the Worlds 2 and was among the final winners for Team UK with Rogan O’Connor, Jordan Wiseley, and Chris “Ct” Tamburello.

She returned to appear in Total Madness and made headlines with controversial social media remarks about the Black Lives Matter movement, ultimately leading to her firing.

While they were never castmates, Nehemiah recently opened up about meeting Dee and shared his thoughts on what happened with her, calling it “extremely unfair.
