Tom Hardy’s Havoc is an out-and-out action thriller from Gareth Evans, with bullets flying all over the place. For the fans of such high-octane thrillers, Havoc is super exciting to watch. However, if you’re someone who’ll nit-pick every detail in a movie, you might be disappointed at some of the scenes.

While Evans knew that he would disappoint such moviegoers, he still proceeded to exaggerate the number of bullets flying. However, if you really need an explanation, Evans has a logic behind those scenes. The director couldn’t help but include those gunfight scenes, which are a clear influence of Hong Kong films and filmmakers like Johnnie To, John Woo, and Ringo Lam.

Netflix’s Havoc is the story of a cop who’s gone corrupt and is involved in all kinds of illegitimate practices. He is somebody who carries the burden of guilt and wants to put an end to all the debauchery and start afresh. This is what makes Havoc interesting, and it adds a layer to the character of Patrick Walker, the protagonist, played by Tom Hardy. The story is quite simple, and I don’t think that the director wanted to use it as the main attraction of the film. The adrenaline-pumping action sequences and the bloodbaths are what make the film an entertaining watch. I will say that the film’s execution was perfectly in sync with what it sought to achieve, something we rarely find these days. Tom Hardy is brilliant, and his character’s chaotic state of mind just adds on to all the messiness and bloodlust.

The demo success is particularly noteworthy, since its the strongest 18-49 growth for any major broadcast network scripted series, drama or new show, over the course of its premiere season since Fox’s Empire in 2015.

Averaging 2.3M live + same-day viewers and a 0.24 18-49 demo rating over the course of the first season, Doc is Fox’s highest-rated and most-watched new drama this season. Ultimately, episodes have swelled to an average of around 7.2M multi-platform viewers, more than tripling the L+Sd audience.

If you’ve been tuning into this incredible series, you’d know that Found Season 2 is, as I described it to the pair, “all gas with no brakes.”

The season has been absolute madness, as they’ve pulled out all the stops and gone in so many directions we couldn’t have anticipated.

But in the present, when Tj’s father (Demore Barnes) is the patient, the two butt heads over his diagnosis and treatment — and the fact that his dad gets worse when he goes with her recommendation. This is a rare full-season order of that size in the new broadcast era where seasons often consist of 13-18 episodes. The last Fox drama to produce 22 episodes was the network’s previous medical show, The Resident, which delivered 23 during the 2021-22 season.

What makes Doc‘s pickup size even more unusual is that it is given to a series that launched in midseason. As they only air for a couple of months, these freshmen have smaller orders, between eight and 13 episodes. (Doc‘s was 10.)
