Fox's breakout medical drama, Doc, adds an acclaimed actor to its emergency room for its anticipated second season. The series welcomes Emmy Award-winning star Felicity Huffman on board for Season 2, currently in development.
Per Deadline, Huffman has joined the Doc cast, where she will portray Dr. Joan Ridley, an internal medicine and surgery specialist known for her witty, nonconfrontational style. A self-described "old-school broad" who likes a bit of whiskey and a smoke now and again, Joan is a medical professional who never raises her voice and is a charmer around her colleagues, but possesses a fierce ambition. Joan was also an early mentor and med school professor for the show's central character, Dr. Amy Larsen (Molly Parker), maintaining a good yet honest relationship. After being offered the Chief of Internal Medicine job at Minneapolis' Westside Hospital, succeeding Dr. Richard Miller (Scott Wolf), Joan shows that while she's there to help Amy and the staff,...

Way back in 2023, it was reported that Tom Hardy was set to star in Apple TV+'s new serial killer thriller Lazarus alongside Zazie Beetz. Now, two years later, Hardy is out, and Adolescence star Stephan Graham is officially in as the project is set to move forward this summer. Also starring Liev Schreiber, the series is based on the Joona Lina novels by Lars Kepler, a pseudonym for the husband-and-wife writing team of Alexandra Coelho Ahndoril and Alexander Ahndoril.
Deadline reports that Graham will now play serial killer Jurek Walter, the same role that Hardy was once set to take on. No reason was given for Hardy's departure or why the deal with the star fell through, but these things aren't uncommon in Hollywood, so we wouldn't read too much into it. Graham is the perfect replacement, as he's hot off the successes of the Netflix hit Adolescence, as...

Fox’s freshman hit Doc has promoted Patrick Walker and Charlotte Fountain-Jardim from recurring players to series regulars for the drama’s second season, which begins filming this summer ahead of a fall launch on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. Et/Pt. Their elevation accompanies the network’s rare 22-episode pickup, announced in February after the premiere drew more than 16 million cross-platform viewers—Fox’s largest debut in five years.

When it comes to going full beast mode for a role, nobody commits like Tom Hardy. Whether he’s grunting through post-apocalyptic chaos in Mad Max: Fury Road, breaking Batman’s back as Bane, or going toe-to-tentacle in the Venom trilogy, Hardy’s all in — stunts, scraps, scars and all. But after years of throwing his body into the action like it’s a one-man demolition derby, the man himself is finally opening up about the physical toll it’s taken.
Hardy recently revealed that performing his stunts across multiple projects has left him slightly banged up. We’re talking real-life wear and tear — not just movie makeup. And looking at his filmography, it’s no surprise.
From the punishing Mma training of Warrior to the brutal wilderness of The Revenant, this guy has taken more hits than a crash test dummy.

The following contains spoilers for Havoc.Director Gareth Evans entered the Netflix arena with the high-octane ultraviolent offering that is the recently released Havoc. Starring Tom Hardy, the film impressed action fans across the globe, who reconnected with the director's peculiar manner of executing the genre. Tom Hardy is an actor with plenty of pedigree when it comes to intense action. From his roles as Max Rockatansky in 2015's "Mad Max: Fury Road" and Eddie Brock/Venom in the "Venom" film trilogy to his multiple collaborations with Christopher Nolan, he's a reliable hand whenever a project calls for a glowering character with a nigh-endless capacity for violence. Meanwhile, thanks to his Indonesian martial arts crime thrillers "The Raid" and "The Raid 2," Gareth Evans has established himself as a filmmaker who's extremely adept at making glowering characters with a nigh-endless capacity for violence clash with each other in entertaining ways.

Eight years after his last feature, Director Gareth Evans has returned to his favorite crime action genre with Netflix’s Havoc, a no-nonsense kill-or-be-killed venture that fires on all cylinders to deliver a memorable, bone-crushing, blood-splattering action spectacle. Aside from that, what makes Havoc really special amidst the director’s filmography is that there is a distinct pulp-noir style quotient evoked by the visuals, with all the elements of grunge, smoke, and darkness capturing the essence of corruption, a kind of world-building usually seen when characters like Batman or the Shadow are involved. The characterization, much like the plot details, is very simplistic—in most cases not that much developed, but it is enough to provide justification to the maddening violence and bloodshed, which makes viewers forget about any possible drawbacks anyway. There is some solid star power in the ensemble cast of Havoc, a discussion of which can’t...

Tom Hardy seems to have turned over a new leaf in Havoc. After years of headlines about his rocky dynamic with Charlize Theron on Mad Max: Fury Road, it sounds like Hardy has made some serious changes. His Havoc co-star Jessie Mei Li had nothing but praise for him, calling him “lovely to work with” and highlighting how supportive he was on set.
It’s a refreshing shift for an actor once known for bringing as much intensity behind the scenes as he did in front of the camera. If this is the Tom Hardy we’re getting now, Havoc might just be the start of a new era.

Tom Hardy’s old reputation for being tough to work with? Jessie Mei Li says to forget about it.

The director of The Raid movies has come up with another action thriller, this time on Netflix. Tom Hardy’s Havoc is an out-and-out action thriller from Gareth Evans, with bullets flying all over the place. For the fans of such high-octane thrillers, Havoc is super exciting to watch. However, if you’re someone who’ll nit-pick every detail in a movie, you might be disappointed at some of the scenes.
While Evans knew that he would disappoint such moviegoers, he still proceeded to exaggerate the number of bullets flying. However, if you really need an explanation, Evans has a logic behind those scenes. The director couldn’t help but include those gunfight scenes, which are a clear influence of Hong Kong films and filmmakers like Johnnie To, John Woo, and Ringo Lam.

Netflix’s Havoc is the story of a cop who’s gone corrupt and is involved in all kinds of illegitimate practices. He is somebody who carries the burden of guilt and wants to put an end to all the debauchery and start afresh. This is what makes Havoc interesting, and it adds a layer to the character of Patrick Walker, the protagonist, played by Tom Hardy. The story is quite simple, and I don’t think that the director wanted to use it as the main attraction of the film. The adrenaline-pumping action sequences and the bloodbaths are what make the film an entertaining watch. I will say that the film’s execution was perfectly in sync with what it sought to achieve, something we rarely find these days. Tom Hardy is brilliant, and his character’s chaotic state of mind just adds on to all the messiness and bloodlust.

Doc concluded its first season on a high note for Fox.
The finale of the freshman medical drama, which aired Tuesday, secured 2.4M total live + same-day viewers, per Nielsen, marking a 9% increase from the series premiere. In the 18-49 demo, the finale skyrocketed 56% over the premiere to a 0.28 L+Sd rating.
The demo success is particularly noteworthy, since its the strongest 18-49 growth for any major broadcast network scripted series, drama or new show, over the course of its premiere season since Fox’s Empire in 2015.
Averaging 2.3M live + same-day viewers and a 0.24 18-49 demo rating over the course of the first season, Doc is Fox’s highest-rated and most-watched new drama this season. Ultimately, episodes have swelled to an average of around 7.2M multi-platform viewers, more than tripling the L+Sd audience.

Admit it; we’ll be reeling from that season finale for a long time.
If there’s one word worth using to describe Doc Season 1 Episode 10, it’s “exhilarating.”
From the action-packed medical angle to the high emotions at every conceivable turn, Doc left it all on the floor with that season finale.
(Courtesy of Fox) Doc’s Season Finale Delivers the Best the Series Has to Offer
It’s a relief that we know the series will return with a full sophomore season because there is far too much worth unpacking for all of these characters, not just Amy.
Doc knew they’d leave us clamoring for more after that season finale, and now the idea of waiting until Fall for the series’ return feels unbearable.
We’ve repeatedly discussed how this is a different type of medical drama. It’s not traditional in the least, making it compelling...

If you think you love Found‘s Lacey and Zeke as individual characters, it may pale in comparison to how fond you may be of their portrayals.
They’re incredibly talented, passionate artists who have nothing but the utmost respect for their characters, craft, the series, and one another, and it’s a pleasure to see and hear this respect in action.
TV Fanatic had the privilege of catching up with Walsh and Escarpeta to discuss the evolution of their characters during Found Season 2, the shift in the dynamic between Lacey and Zeke, and so much more.
(Mark Hill/NBC)
If you’ve been tuning into this incredible series, you’d know that Found Season 2 is, as I described it to the pair, “all gas with no brakes.”
The season has been absolute madness, as they’ve pulled out all the stops and gone in so many directions we couldn’t have anticipated.

But in the present, when Tj’s father (Demore Barnes) is the patient, the two butt heads over his diagnosis and treatment — and the fact that his dad gets worse when he goes with her recommendation. Doc has been officially picked up for season 2.
The Fox medical drama’s second season will consist of 22 episodes. Normally, shows launched midseason will routinely get shortened episode counts moving into new seasons. So getting a full, 22 episode season 2 seems to be more rare these days, Deadline reports.
Doc tells the story of Dr. Amy Larsen returning to her practice after she suffers a brain injury that caused her to lose her memory. It stars Molly Parker of House of Cards fame as the lead role. Omar Metwally, Amirah Vann, Jon Ecker, Anya Banerjee, Scott Wolf, and Patrick Walker also star in the series.

Fox has given an early, 22-episode Season 2 renewal to breakout freshman medical drama Doc, starring Molly Parker.
This is a rare full-season order of that size in the new broadcast era where seasons often consist of 13-18 episodes. The last Fox drama to produce 22 episodes was the network’s previous medical show, The Resident, which delivered 23 during the 2021-22 season.
What makes Doc‘s pickup size even more unusual is that it is given to a series that launched in midseason. As they only air for a couple of months, these freshmen have smaller orders, between eight and 13 episodes. (Doc‘s was 10.) That is not considered fully adequate for a show to prove itself, so midseason newbies typically receive a 13-episode Season 2 renewal that could be extended with additional episodes if the series returns strong in the fall. Doc joins very few midseason entries that have earned straight full-season Season 2 pickups,...
