Now that Denis Villeneuve has been tapped to direct the next James Bond movie for Amazon MGM Studios, we’re one step closer to discovering which actor will play the iconic secret agent. Plenty of names have been in the mix over the years, but Variety reports that Amazon is aiming to go a little younger with the character. Insiders tell the outlet that the studio and producers are looking to cast a British actor under the age of 30, with Jacob Elordi (Saltburn), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), and Harris Dickinson (Babygirl) at the top of the James Bond wishlist.
If the under-30 mandate is true, this would likely put the 35-year-old Aaron Taylor-Johnson out of the running. The actor is one of the favourites to play Bond, and fans were further convinced when he entered a partnership with Omega. Aaron Taylor-Johnson signs deal with James Bond watchmakers Omega: Is this a sign he’s our next 007?
It’s been four years since the release of No Time to Die, and James Bond fans are still waiting to hear who will play the latest incarnation of the secret agent. However, fans seem to think they know who the next Bond will be, and it’s all thanks to Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s recent partnership with Omega. The Swiss watchmaker has supplied watches to the secret agent since Goldeneye, and both Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig have served as Omega global ambassadors. Now it’s Taylor-Johnson’s turn.
“Omega welcomes Aaron Taylor-Johnson to our watchmaking home in Bienne,” read Omega’s post on Instagram. “The actor and Golden Globe winner stepped into our watchmaking home for an exclusive tour, meeting the watchmakers behind our timepieces.” After signing the deal, Taylor-Johnson said, “I have always had an appreciation for timepieces but especially for Omega. Now, after visiting the factory, I...

From Hazelight Studios, the studio behind such co-op hits as Brothers, A Way Out and It Takes Two, comes their latest potential hit Split Fiction. From the filmmaking and game-directing mind of Josef Fares and Co, the tale of two writers trying to get published whilst dealing with the pitfalls of AI, bloodsucking CEO’s and a crisis of faith should be enough to get anyone interested, and it’s safe to say that after my time with it, I’m here to recommend it to absolutely everyone.
Split Fiction is at the Top of Its Game
Getting the basics out of the way, Split Fiction is the story of two writers Mio and Zoe on the road to completing their shared dream; getting published. A few minutes into Split Fiction and you and your partner will quickly realise this isn’t going to go as planned. The prickly Mio...

Many actors have come close to playing James Bond over the years, with Henry Cavill among the biggest names to have missed out on playing the iconic Sir Ian Fleming creation.
The former Superman was among those eyed to star as 007 when the role was being recast - and the franchise was getting a reboot - for 2006's Casino Royale. Daniel Craig beat Cavill to it, playing a blonde Bond (a controversial move at the time) we bid a permanent farewell to in 2021's No Time to Die.
There's still no word on who will replace Craig and, if recent reports are to be believed, franchise producer Barbara Broccoli and Amazon are butting heads about the property's future.
Now, though, Cavill's 007 audition from 2005 has leaked online (via ActioNewz.com). The YouTuber who uploaded it says "This Video came from a VHS Tape found in a recycling Bin at a Movie Studio,...

Liam Neeson was almost cast as James Bond? (Photo Credit – Facebook)
Liam Neeson revealed the unexpected twist on The Late Late Show with James Corden, saying, “I know they were looking at various actors, and I apparently was among them. However, my dear, departed wife did say to me… ‘Darling, if you’re offered James Bond and you’re going to play it, you’re not going to marry me.’ Let that sink in. Natasha wasn’t just saying she didn’t want him playing 007—she was saying, straight-up, if Bond was on the table, so was a dealbreaker in their relationship. Love, after all, wins.
This stuff goes back to the early ’90s, around the time GoldenEye was about to become the new Bond sensation. Producers were scouting actors to take on the role after Sean Connery and Roger Moore’s reigns. Neeson was in the mix—but Natasha wasn’t having it.

James Bond has a knack for turning the impossible into the inevitable, whether he’s defusing bombs with seconds to spare or charming his way past an enemy’s defenses. The long-lasting king of spy movies has always had a knack for wriggling out of the tightest spots, but survival isn’t always as classy as the suave intelligence agent makes it out to be. He has left millions gripping their seats and wondering if their hero’s legendary luck had finally run out. With some villains almost killing James Bond, the superspy has certainly been through some seriously imminent danger.
The James Bond franchise's best villains are often meticulously crafted acts of nature designed to test the agent’s every standing skill. Whether it be the unpredictability of Raoul Silva or the stark, rageful scenes delivered by Le Chiffre, the franchise’s gallery of evil is as flashy as the spy himself.

For decades, the world-renowned James Bond franchise has seen both great villains and disappointing antagonists. With every James Bond being portrayed through different characters and numerous unique villains, these films have never failed to provide a unique experience. From evil masterminds to villainous henchmen with a touch of charisma, the spy's skills have been tested in a multitude of varying ways, sometimes even outlandish. However, in each James Bond movie, not all of these characters are created equal. While some of these antagonists became cultural icons, others fell short in their tracks, feeling more like a low-budget knockoff.
From the calculating nature of Le Chiffre to the grandiose conquests of Blofeld, these villains aren’t just there to create tension for Bond-they are movie stars on their own. With that being said, not every Bond villain has reached this level of quality, to the extent that the viewer might even...

It's official: Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan have officially signed on to star in the Paramount+ series previously titled The Associate. The series will be loosely based on Showtimes hit crime drama series Ray Donovan, which ran on air for seven seasons from 2013 to 2019.
After entering into final negotiations back in October, Variety has reported that Hardy, Mirren, and Brosnan have officially joined the Paramount+ series from Guy Ritchie and Ronan Bennett. The casting update was paired with a bit of news that may disappoint Ray Donovan fans, as the series has been reworked into a standalone project with no connections to the Liev Schreiber-led franchise. The Associate has also been dropped as the series' title, with no new title announced at this time.

Judi Dench recalls Pierce Brosnan's charm on the set of GoldenEye. The actor also reveals that her daughter was also starstruck by Brosnan's dashing looks. Dench made her debut as M in GoldenEye, a role she would play for many years until Spectre.
The charms of former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan were not lost on Dame Judi Dench, who recalls her first meeting with the 007 star on the set of 1995’s GoldenEye. Brosnan, who had originally been prevented from taking over as Bond following Roger Moore’s departure, was the first choice for producers to succeed Timothy Dalton in the mid-90s. Meanwhile, Dench was tapped to replace Robert Brown as the new M, Bond’s boss and head of Mi-6, a role that she would continue to hold until 2015’s Spectre.

Few characters in fiction have the pop culture presence of James Bond. Even those who have never seen a James Bond movie can probably tell you exactly how he introduces himself. Bond. James Bond. The name has become synonymous with spies, sex, and martinis that are shaken not stirred. But what if I told you that the name James Bond came from a big ol' bird nerd?
As recounted in the book "The Man with the Golden Typewriter" -- a collection of letters written by James Bond author Ian Fleming to his wife, publisher, editors, fans, friends, critics, and more -- the name James Bond was actually lifted from a noted ornithologist. How did this happen?

The news came in today that music icon Tina Turner has died at the age of 83. Fans all over the world are hitting music sites to listen to and remember this incredible singer who has given us decades of hits, from "What's Love Got to Do With It?" to "Proud Mary" and "The Best," just to name a few. But one of Turner's performances graced the soundtrack to the 1995 James Bond film "GoldenEye" starring Pierce Brosnan, kicking off an entirely new era for 007.
The song -- also entitled "GoldenEye" -- features Turner at her best, and the simplicity of the music video, helmed by prolific video director Jake Scott (son of Sir Ridley Scott), is powerful. The glamorous Turner appears in a stunning white dress and belts out the tune in her gorgeous voice, telling a pretty dark story as she does so. The whole thing is intercut...

Zack Snyder recently teased that his upcoming film Rebel Moon will receive a massive video game adaptation, which brings to mind one of the coolest ‘90s video game trends: movie tie-in video games. Some of the most iconic games of that decade were adaptations of blockbuster movies, such as GoldenEye 007 for the N64. However, the trend started to fade in the '00s after the release of plenty of less-than-desirable games, but the Rebel Moon RPG could bring this trend back.
Movie tie-in games have a long history in the industry, tracing their legacy back as early as the ‘70s. The output in this sub-genre is so prolific that there are hundreds of movie tie-in video games. Tie-in games were used as a marketing strategy to boost ticket sales for the movies they adapted. This took off in the ‘80s with games in franchises such as Star Wars. The trend continued into the ‘90s,...
