Peter Criss will emerge from a long period of inactivity this year with the release of his first album since 2007’s One for All.

“I want to let the Kiss Army and all my rock fans know that my new ‘rock’ album will be coming out this fall,” Criss tells Rolling Stone. “I’ve got some really great players on it: Michael McLaughlin, John 5 on lead and rhythm guitar, Billy Sheehan, Piggy D [Matt Montgomery] on bass, and Paul Shaffer on B3 and piano. I am on vocals, drums and percussion.

Just hours after bassist Piggy D. revealed that he was exiting Rob Zombie’s band early on Tuesday morning (January 30th), Zombie announced the return of his original bassist, Rob “Blasko” Nicholson.

“After 18 years I am thrilled to announce that Blasko has returned! ☠️ The original 4 string Zombie monster is back. Get ready for a crazy summer of mayhem,” posted Zombie on Instagram (see below), along with the band’s new lineup of himself, Blasko, guitarist Mike Riggs, and drummer Ginger Fish.

Earlier in the day, Piggy D stated, “Dear Friends, My time with Zombie has come to an end. It was an honor to entertain you for the last 18 years. I look forward to the future and wish everyone the best. Peace & Love, Matt Montgomery aka Count D., Piggy D., Giggles.”

Bassist Matt “Piggy D.” Montgomery has announced his exit from Rob Zombie’s band after being a fixture in its lineup for nearly two decades.

The news comes just one day after Zombie announced his 2024 co-headlining “Freaks on Parade Tour” with Alice Cooper, featuring support from Ministry and Filter.

Montgomery did not give a specific reason for this exit in a private Instagram post (as seem below via Blabbermouth), simply stating, “Dear Friends, My time with Zombie has come to an end. It was an honor to entertain you for the last 18 years. I look forward to the future and wish everyone the best. Peace & Love, Matt Montgomery aka Count D., Piggy D., Giggles.”
