Julie Chen Moonves in Big Brother (2000)
Big Brother 25 featured a notable showmance between America Lopez and Cory Wurtenbeger.

America was a 27-year-old medical receptionist from Brooklyn, New York, and Cory was a college student from Weston, Florida.

Cory also had ties to reality television, as his brother Zach Wurtenberger was a Survivor alum.

America and Cory struck up a friendship in the Big Brother house; it soon evolved into much more.

An unexpected showmance developed between them, even as they faced some hardships in the game.

Cory was evicted on Day 79 in eighth place. America was evicted on Day 86 in sixth place. They then spent the remainder of the summer together in the jury house.

As a reminder, Jag Bains won Big Brother 25 in a close vote over Matt Klotz. Bowie Jane finished in third place, and the season also featured Survivor legend Cirie Fields and her son, Jared Fields.

America made it to the jury phase of the season but got evicted a bit before the final weeks happened. America then voted for Jag Bains to win on the finale night.

As a reminder, Jag beat Matt Klotz to become the Big Brother 25 winner. Bowie Jane finished in third place, and Cameron Hardin was named America’s Favorite Houseguest.

If she made it to the Big Brother 25 Final 2, Bowie would have emphasized her gameplay in her final plea speech, highlighting her ability to navigate the game, stick to her word, and maintain alliances. Bowie strategically portrayed herself as a happy-go-lucky floater to avoid being seen as a threat, and her strategy worked as she made it all the way to the Final 3 without being nominated.

Big Brother 25 ended with Jag Bains winning after an impassioned final speech that won over the jury, surprising host Julie Chen Moonves. Julie felt that Jag's final plea to the jury was "harsh" and may have cost him Cirie's vote, but she was also surprised by Blue Kim and America Lopez's votes. Matt Klotz Would’ve Voted For This Big Brother 25 Houseguest If He Was A Jury Member

Matt Klotz admits he would have voted for Jag Bains instead of Bowie Jane if he had been a Big Brother 25 jury member. Matt believes Jag played a great game and was his "shield" throughout the season. Matt confesses that he was unprepared for the jury's questions, but he's proud of his game.

‘Big Brother 25’s’ Matt: ‘I was kind of just winging it’ during the jury Q&a
Image
Matt Klotz was the favorite to win “Big Brother 25” for a majority of the season, especially the back half of the game. Even his Minutemen ride-or-die Jag thought so, telling the Deaflympics gold medalist he would win on Thursday’s finale mere moments after taking Matt to the final two. But Matt came up just short as the jury handed Jag the $750,000 with a 5-2 vote.

“I think maybe there was a good chance , but you never know with things,” Matt tells Gold Derby (watch above). “I considered the possibility that this was a jury that was focused on who [had] the most wins. It could be a jury with social game and I think if it was a jury with social game, I was going to be the top dog in that part, but I don’t think that was this year’s jury.”

The dissenting votes came from Cirie,...

‘Big Brother 25’s’ Jag on the moment he knew he was winning: ‘I sort of realized what was happening’

Suffice it to say, Jag Bains‘ run on “Big Brother 25” has rewritten the “Big Brother” annals. After becoming the first Sikh houseguest, he made history on Thursday’s finale by becoming the first Sikh winner with a 5-2 vote over his Minutemen ally Matt, the same person who used the Power of Invincibility to undo Jag’s 10-0 eviction in Week 4. That also makes Jag the first evicted the houseguest to return to the game and win the whole thing. And of course, there are the new single-season records he set along the way: the most Veto wins at seven and the most comp wins at 10. He set the last one during the finale when he won won Part 3 of the final Hoh, after which he stayed loyal to Matt, taking him to the final two over the path of least resistance of Bowie Jane, and told Matt that he would win.

Andy Herren Doesn’t Want This Big Brother 25 Houseguest To Win Because They Allegedly Hate Women
Image
Big Brother winner Andy Herren wants Jag to win BB25 because he dislikes Matt's defamatory comments against women and Bowie's lack of awareness. Andy, a professor of public speaking and media, finds the final 3's gameplay uninteresting, leading him to support the person he likes the most. Despite Jag's less impressive gameplay, Andy will root for him over Matt and Bowie due to his disdain for Matt's behavior and Bowie's actions in the house.

Big Brother 25 is coming to a close, but Bb 15 winner Andy Herren has one final hope for the season revolving around who he doesn't want to see win the game. While Andy has been a huge part of the Big Brother community in the decade since his win, many have found his takes to be polarizing when it comes to the game. Andy understands the game on a different level than most, having both participated in...

Julie ranks Big Brother 25 in the Top 5 of all of the seasons, enjoying the ever-changing alliances and the understanding that it's every player for themselves. At the Big Brother 25 finale, one of the Final 3 contestants--Matt Klotz, Jag Bains, or Bowie Jane--will be crowned the winner of this milestone season. ‘Big Brother 25’ spoilers: And on the 99th day, Bowie Jane campaigns
Image
We’ve made it somehow. Wednesday was the last full day in the “Big Brother 25” house. It was the 99th day, but it featured a first: Bowie Jane campaigning.

Yup, the same person who was miffed by Cory campaigning finally did so herself. To be fair, she was never on the block, so she never had to campaign, but maybe don’t complain about other people campaigning to stay in the game so they can win $750,000. Bowie told Matt she didn’t want to campaign against Jag, so her whole pitch was that she’ll get zero votes (probably true). The real issue here is that neither of them even attempted to lay the groundwork for a final two the past few weeks and Matt probably knows he can beat her and Jag.

Big Brother 25's Jag Bains Made The Worst Move Of The Season (Can He Still Win?)
Image
Despite being a competitive threat, Jag may have jeopardized his chances of winning by making one of the worst moves of the season. Jag had the opportunity to take a shot at his biggest threat but chose to play it safe, potentially costing himself $750,000. Jag's decision to keep his ally Matt in the game instead of evicting him may make it more difficult for him to win if they both reach the final 2 chairs.

Big Brother 25’s Jag Bains has been a competitive threat throughout his time in the house, but after making one of the worst moves of the season, many are wondering if he can still win the game. Jag has been aligned with Matt Klotz for the majority of the season, with Matt even saving Jag’s Bb life during week 4 with the Bb Power Of Invincibility. While Jag and Matt have depended on one another for safety in the game,...

Felicia Cannon Loses Family Member While Competing On Big Brother 25
Image
Big Brother season 25 contestant Felicia Cannon reveals that her brother died while she was in the house, but she continued playing the game. Felicia's family wanted her to keep playing Big Brother 25. The Big Brother live feeds were cut off after Felicia mentioned her brother, which now makes sense in hindsight.

Big Brother season 25 houseguest Felicia Cannon may have just been evicted from the house, but it turns out she's been grieving the loss of a family member for at least part of the game. Big Brother 25 has been a whirlwind in recent days, with the evictions of both Felicia and Survivor legend Cirie Fields. With those two players no longer in the game, that leaves Jag Bains, Matt Klotz and Bowie Jane as the Final 3. Part 1 of the final Big Brother 25 Head of Household competition saw Matt come out on top. As of this writing, the results of Part 2 are not yet known.

Felicia Cannon Claims This Big Brother 25 Houseguest Made A “$750,000 Mistake”
Image
Felicia Cannon believes it was a mistake for Jag Bains to evict her on Big Brother 25 instead of Matt Klotz. Felicia is shocked that Bowie Jane made it to the Final 3 and applauds her for never being nominated. Felicia says that Jag might regret his decision to sit next to Matt at the very end, as it may cost him the game and $750,000.

Big Brother season 25 houseguest Felicia Cannon is looking back at her eviction, and she believes that Jag Bains made a huge mistake by eliminating her instead of Matt Klotz, and taking Matt to the Final 3. Although Jag considered evicting Matt, he ultimately decided not to betray his Final 2 Minutemen alliance member and instead sent Felicia to the Big Brother 25 jury house. However, given their track records, Jag most likely could've easily beaten Felicia in the final competitions and won the whole game against her. At 63 years old,...

Julie Chen Moonves Reveals Which Big Brother 25 Houseguest Might Be Too Untrustworthy To Win
Image
Julie Chen Moonves believes that Jag Bains may have lost too much trust with the jury to win Big Brother 25, despite his strong gameplay and record-breaking Power of Veto wins. Matt Klotz's biggest strength is his social game, and he is beloved by everyone. However, Julie thinks his weakness is trusting Jag too much and following his lead. Bowie Jane's strengths are her three recent Hoh wins, but her weakness is that she has no strong bonds with any of the jurors. Julie is excited to see who wins the final Hoh and if the jury votes emotionally or logically on finale night.

Big Brother season 25 host Julie Chen Moonves has been watching the houseguests closely all season, and she thinks that Jag Bains might have lost too much trust with the jury to win the game. The Mafia alliance, made up of Jag, Matt Klotz, and Bowie Jane,...

‘Big Brother 25’ spoilers: Jag questions his decision after Part 1 of the final Hoh
Image
Is Felicia‘s karma already rearing its head? Matt won Part 1 of the final Hoh on “Big Brother 25” in the early hours of Monday morning, sending him directly into Part 3.

It was the spinning comp that was apparently very, very cold, but Matt was rock solid and at times was hanging on by one hand, leaving Jag and Bowie Jane dumbfounded. Jag is already working overtime trying to convince himself he made the right move to keep Matt. Good luck with that. If you have to start off a sentence by saying, “It wasn’t a mistake, but…”, it probably was a mistake. Bowie said she doesn’t know what comp she can beat Matt in, a hilarious statement to make in front of the person who’s won nine comps. They (half-)jokingly called themselves losers and said they’ll both get max one vote against Matt, which would be from one another.

Felicia Cannon (‘Big Brother 25’) exit interview: Jag ‘may have just given away his $750,000’
Image
Not even the faith of a mustard seed could save Felicia Cannon on Sunday night’s episode of “Big Brother.” The 63-year old real estate agent from Kennesaw, Georgia was evicted by a vote of 1-0 on Day 96 over Matt Klotz, making her the sixth member of the jury. After winning the final Power of Veto, Jag Bains decided to evict Felicia after giving some serious thought to axing his fellow “Minuteman” just days before the final. In the end, he held true to his alliance and will be joined by Matt and Bowie Jane on finale night.

“He really has a loyalty to Matt,” Felicia told host Julie Chen Moonves during her exit interview. “I appreciate that kind of loyalty. They were true friends in there. I was too, but they were connected from day one. There was something with them — I couldn’t bust into that.” Loyalty aside,...

Jag Bains sets ‘Big Brother’ record for most Power of Veto wins in a single season
Image
Jag Bains made history on “Big Brother 25” Sunday night when he claimed his seventh Power of Veto, passing Michael Bruner‘s previous record of six he set just last year. Unlike Michael, Jag was able to secure a place in the season finale which will air Thursday, November 9 on CBS. After winning the Veto, the 25-year old from Omak, Washington cast the sole vote to evict Felicia Cannon. Next he will face off against Bowie Jane and Matt Klotz in the two-part final Hoh competition. The winner of that will decide who the jury votes for as the Season 25 champ and the $750,000 grand prize.

Other all-time Veto legends include Janelle Pierzina (Season 7), Daniele Briones (Season 8), Paul Abrahamian (Season 19) and Kaycee Clark (Season 20), who each won five times. See the full list in order of wins in our gallery above.

Jag also tied Janelle for overall single-season comp victories. With four Head of Household reigns,...
