Image
Stars: Redd Nicholson, Carley Halse, Paris Rivers, Luna Wolf, Lewis Cooper, Cy Henty, Aileen Daly, Pauline Per, Nicholas Vince, Dani Thompson, Jack Glanville | Written and Directed by Mj Dixon

British independent film company Mycho, made up of Mj Dixon and Anna Dixon – the husband and wife filmmaking team behind the Mycho Entertainment Group brand; are back with the third film in the Slasher House series – a film that spawned an entire Universe of movies, dubbed the Mychoverse, which includes the likes of Pandamonium, The Haunting of Molly Bannister (aka Bannister DollHouse) and the Thorn and Cleaver franchises.

Now I’ll be honest, despite having seen both Pandamonium and The Haunting of Molly Bannister, both of which are spin-offs from the second film in the Slasher House series. A film where Molly Bannister first made her appearance, as did the killer from Pandamonium. The fact that I hadn’t seen the...

Following the DVD debuts of likes of Cleavers and Pandamonium, The Haunting of Molly Bannister (formerly known as Bannister DollHouse) is the latest release from the British independent film company Mycho, made up of Mj Dixon and Anna Dixon – the husband and wife filmmaking team behind the Mycho Entertainment Group brand; whose deal with 101 Films to get their titles out to a wider, horror-hungry UK audience is really working it seems – this is another Mycho title that has hit the DVD charts in shops (and supermarkets) across the UK.

The Haunting of Molly Bannister is apparently a spin-off from the Slasher House series and already the subject of a short film. I say apparently as I haven’t seen Slasher House 2, where Molly...

With the party in full swing Jacob sets his sights on the girls and he’ll stop at nothing to get what he wants; leading to a strippers versus Panda-headed serial killer showdown as the girls...

Horror-On-Sea 2018 Exclusive Interview: Mj Dixon & Anna Dixon
Following the World Premier of Mask of Thorn at Horror-on-Sea, I had an opportunity to talk with director Mj Dixon and Mycho producer Anna Dixon about reactions to film, why they created two different versions and what is coming next in the Mycho Universe.

Photo courtesy of J. Douglas Imagery

You had the premier for Mask of Thorn at Horror-on-Sea how do you think it went?

Anna – It seemed to go well. People said nice words afterwards.

Mj – It’s always a worry when you are making low budget stuff how the audience is going to perceive that. I don’t think they really know what to expect, but I think sitting there, jokes landed when they should and twists all landed when I thought they should. It was surprising, but so far, I think that was the most engagement we have had from the audience for one of our films.

Legacy Of Thorn Will Bring an Urban Legend to Life
Slasher House director, Mj Dixon, has teamed up with UK producers Mem Ferda and Anna McCarthy on a terrifying project that aims to bring an all new icon of fright to the screen.

Legacy of Thorn will raise an urban legend from the grave to haunt a girl with a secret past in a story that I'm hearing harkens back to to the halcyon days of Barker and Craven!

"Mj Dixon's talent for the horror genre is undeniable," said producer Mem Ferda, who will also star in the film. "Having watched his remarkable feature Slasher House, it is crystal clear to me that he has tapped into the vein of mainstream horror and is on a direct path to becoming the next Craven, Carpenter or Cronenberg."

Full Synopsis:

Legacy of Thorn is the story of Jess, a beautiful, popular high school cheerlea [Continued ...]...
