Maurilio Martins is a film director, screenwriter, producer and one of the founding partners of "Filmes de Plástico". The production company, from the outskirts of Contagem, Minas Gerais, is today one of the most important in the Brazilian independent film scene. Together with André Novais Oliveira, Gabriel Martins and Thiago Macêdo Correia they had films premiered in important festivals, such as Cannes, Locarno, Rotterdam, Sundance and others. Maurilio Martins recently directed his new feature film, "The Last Episode".
