Warning! Potential Spoilers Ahead for Transformers #19!

Megatron has made his triumphant return in Transformers, but the Energon Universe is just getting started with his story. Transformers #19 will put the spotlight on the true leader of the Decepticons, and if the newly released preview is any indication, fans are in for a bold reimagining of Megatron’s origins within the shared Energon Universe continuity.

Skybound recently shared the preview on Instagram, offering a glimpse into Transformers #19, crafted by the creative team of Daniel Warren Johnson, Ludo Lullabi, Mike Spicer, and Rus Wooton. The issue opens with a flashback to Cybertron’s war for freedom, where Megatron has been captured by the Quintessons.

We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

It's the end of 2024 — if you think keeping track of all the new movies released this year was a challenge, try keeping your head on straight with new comics. "Chainsaw Man" by Tatsuki Fujimoto

"#Drcl midnight children" by Shin-ichi Sakamoto

"Detective Comics" by Ram V

"The Ribbon Queen" by Garth Ennis and Jacen Burrows

"The Sacrificers" by Rick Remender and Max Fiumara

"Transformers" by Daniel Warren Johnson and...

“Big Trouble in Little China” ?
John Carpenter, the writer/director behind classic comedy adventure "Big Trouble In Little China" (1986), starring Kurt Russell as 'Jack Burton', isn't too keen about the long-delayed sequel to his film, after being left out of the creative process. "They want a movie with Dwayne Johnson," said Carpenter. "that's what they want. So they just picked that title...":

"You can't remake a classic like that, so what we're planning to do is we're going to continue the story," said sequel producer Hiram Garcia.

"We're going to continue the universe of 'Big Trouble in Little China'.

"Everything that happened in the original exists and is standalone and I think there's only one person that could ever play Jack Burton...

"...so Dwayne would never try and play that character..."

Although he has been sidelined from the upcoming production, Carpenter continues to script new adventures of his "Big Trouble" creations,...
