Jordon Prince-Wright, a trailblazing filmmaker from Western Australia, is reshaping the national and international screen industry through visionary leadership. Beginning his career at 15, he directed and produced The Decadent and Depraved, Australias largest independent feature, before helming the internationally acclaimed Before Dawn, WAs largest homegrown feature film. Jordons productions have won global awards and created over 1,500 Australian roles, as well as attracting 300+ corporate partnerships through an innovative funding model. A hands-on leader, Jordon mentors emerging talent, having founded and led regional school film programs and sitting alongside industry professionals including Cuba Gooding Jnr, Janty Yates and Jack Thomson. Jordons childhood health battles have fuelled his advocacy to champion charities such as Telethon through the profits of his films and company. His recent filmmaking journey is now featured in a documentary available on Amazon Prime. As he partners with studios such as Netflix and Disney, Jordon continues to be on the forefront of Australias leading independent cinema company; bringing innovation, job creation and new international productions to Australia.
At only 19, Jordon already has an abundance of recognition for his talent and a wealth of experience that belies his age. Selected as the Young Australian Filmmaker of the Year in 2014, is only one of the many awards he has received over the past few years. He has taken on roles as a director, writer, producer and executive producer - beginning his adventures in the industry whilst he was still a high school student.
Having completed a Certificate III in Media and gaining 100% in his year 12 Media Production and Analysis WACE exams. Aside from his impressive education background, Jordon has amassed an inspiring résumé on which has formed the foundation for WAs largest independent film company, Prince-Wright Productions.
It is clear from the tremendous feedback from various veteran film production companies, crew and actors with whom he has worked, that Jordon will undoubtedly be held in equally high regard in the very near future.
