Atalaya Jolétte
- Actress
Being an extremely shy kid I often wondered where I would fit in when it came to the entertainment industry. I remember making a vision board when I was the in seventh grade and smack dab in the middle of that was a picture of the Hollywood sign. It seemed like a far away dream that I would never be able to touch, then one day I woke up as an adult and thought to myself, 'I've done some pretty cool stuff!'
Atalaya Jolétte started her entertainment career acting on stage in Atlanta. She had the opportunity to do a bit of traveling with shows such as 'Big Girls Gotta Eat Too!' Which got rave reviews at the Washington D.C and Atlanta Black theatre festivals. She eventually found herself on a major film set which changed her life. She watched as Tyler Perry directed For Colored Girls (2010) from the sidelines as she was background talent. She became fascinated by every part of film making. The casting department is where she would learn a lot about 'life on set'. She acted as casting assistant on films such as 'What Love Will Make You Do' (2013). She also assisted In casting many short films and pilots in the Atlanta area. Being apart of casting only increased her eagerness to learn more, so she took an intern position as a co-producer of a pilot reality show called 'Temptation Challenge Camp'.
