French Romantic Comedy ‘The Doll’ Starring Vincent Macaigne, Cécile de France and Zoe Marchal in Love Triangle Boarded by Urban Sales (Exclusive)

Paris-based sales company Urban Sales has picked up international rights to “The Doll,” a romantic comedy featuring Vincent Macaigne (“Maria”), Cécile de France (“The New Pope”) and Zoé Marchal (“Overdose”) as a love triangle.

Sophie Beaulieu’s debut feature, “The Doll” will be presented to buyers at the upcoming Cannes Film Market.

“The Doll” is produced by Novoprod Cinéma, the company behind the Cesar-winning film “Full time,” and “Love me Tender,” which is world premiering at Cannes. Blending heartwarming comedy and fantasy, the film stars Macaigne as Rémi, synthetic turf seller who has been sharing his life with a life-sized doll named Audrey (Marchal) ever since his last breakup which left him heartbroken. When Patricia (de France), a temp worker, joins his company, Audrey mysteriously comes to life, setting off a series of surreal and transformative events that will shake up Rémi’s life for the better.

Studiocanal has unveiled a first look at Roxine Helberg’s action thriller Coka Chica about a trio of best friends turned drug mules who become embroiled in a violent adventure in the Caribbean when one of the girls disappears. The company is showing a promo reel to EFM buyers.

Eva Huault, Fadily Camara, and Zoé Marchal star in the film, now in post-production, that shot on location in the Dominican Republic last year. It is based a true story.

Studiocanal has boarded Cedric Klapisch’s time-jumping family drama Colours Of Time (La Venue De l’Avenir) about cousins who inherit an old house in rural Normandy and retrace the steps of their ancestors in 19th-centuryParis.

The supercharged cast of local stars is headed by Suzanne Lindon, Vincent Macaigne, Zinedine Soualem, Paul Kircher, Vassili Schneider, Sara Giraudeau, Cécile de France, Olivier Gourmet and Abraham Wapler.

Klapisch has written the script with Santiago Amigorena and produces with Bruno Levy via their Ce Qui Me Meut banner.

Prime Video France has unveiled its slate of new originals and co-production titles, ranging from series, movies and unscripted shows. These include some sexy, comedic and action-packed titles such as “Culte – 2be3,” Yael Langmann’s series about the famed 1990’s French boys band; “Glamsquad” by Rebecca Zlotowski; Gaumont’s thriller “Carjarkers;” and new comedy format “Liars Club.” The service has also boarded season 2 of “Escort Boys” and war thriller “Dark Hearts,” as well as picked up Nick Cassavetes’ “Marked Men.”

“All-Time High” is a romantic comedy directed by Julien Hollande starring Nassim Lyes and Zoé Marchal.

“All-Time High” is a comedy that, even though it may seem hard to believe, is extremely funny. It is a comedy that does what all comedies should do: make us laugh.

Yes, both characters are charming.

However, they are imperfect in their own ways.

Cinematically, it may not be a masterpiece, but the script and the situations have so much spark that it convinced us.
