Harvey Zielinski is a singular artist; a transmasculine actor/writer/director and producer across stage and screen. As an actor, he is a two-time Heath Ledger Scholarship finalist, a Casting Guild of Australia Rising Star Award winner, and he was selected to be the Red Stitch Actors Theatre graduate ensemble member for 2018. Harvey's screenwriting has been supported by VicScreen, Screen Australia, Arenamedia, WeirAnderson Films, SBS, Feracious Entertainment, Imagine Impact, ABC Fresh Start, and the 17th Annual Ontario Creates Film Financing Forum at TIFF. Harvey's first feature-length screenplay Sweet Milk Lake was recently financed for production. Harvey is the director, lead actor, writer, and part of the producing team. Harvey's first TV episode (White Fever - ABC, co-written with Ra Chapman) was AWGIE nominated in 2025, and his first play, THUGS, was recently commissioned by Malthouse Theatre.
As an actor, Harvey is best known as Charlie in White Fever (ABC), Abel in Catherine Hardwicke's (Twilight) sci-fi series Don't Look Deeper (Quibi/Roku, starring Don Cheadle and Emily Mortimer), and Gez Rahme in Amazon Prime original comedy series Deadloch. Other screen credits include Love Me (Warner Bros), Spreadsheet (Paramount+), Metrosexual (9Now), My First Summer (STAN), Why Are You Like This (ABC/Netflix) and Get Krack!n (ABC).
Harvey's stage credits include Nick in Sarah Goodes' smash-hit 5-star production of Whose Afraid of Virginia Woolf (starring Kat Stewart) at Red Stitch Actors Theatre and later the Comedy Theatre, Malthouse Theatre Company's production Because the Night (Matt Lutton), cavemxn (Anthropocene Theatre Company), Gender Euphoria (Arts Centre Melbourne/Seymour Centre/Darlinghurst Theatre), Suddenly Last Summer (Red Stitch), The Antipodes (Red Stitch) and Hir (Red Stitch). WAOVW is coming to Sydney Theatre Company in 2025.
Harvey was the Director's Attachment for The Newsreader S2 (Emma Freeman) and the Assistant Director for Right Now (Red Stitch). He directed the 'Unsaid Says a Lot' campaign for the Victorian Government.
Harvey frequently narrates audiobooks, and his first title Honeybee (Craig Silvey) was nominated for an ABIA.
