At the end of September, JoBlo Media and Octane Multimedia teamed up to launch a new YouTube channel named JoBlo TV, which hosts multiple feature films to watch for free throughout the week. The genres we’ll be focusing on at JoBlo TV are Action, Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Thrillers – and the free movies we shared this week were all about the horror!

This week’s line-up consisted of Dead Voices, The Thing Inside Us, and Demons Inside Me. Here’s some information on each of them:

Directed by genre regular William Butler Dead Voices shows what happens when two sisters discover a dark secret while making a documentary about mediums for a college final. Jacob Kyle Young wrote the screenplay and stars in the film alongside Angelica Briones, Lauren Albo, Jack Buckley, Naama Silver, and Cody Anderson.

Anton, the London-based company behind “Mothers’ Instinct” and “The End We Start From,” has hired Fremantle alumni Sangeeta Desai and Sarah Doole to spearhead its newly launched TV production arm.

Anton said it will seek to attract leading creatives to launch production scripted labels across Europe. The banner will also look at direct, and first-look deals with established on- and off-screen talent.

“I’m delighted that Sangeeta and Sarah are joining Anton to launch and run our new TV arm,” said Sebastien Raybaud. “Their expertise, experience and enthusiasm will be invaluable. This move marks an important milestone in the development of the company,” Raybaud continued.

Anton is opening a TV production arm helmed by former Fremantle alums Sangeeta Desai and Sarah Doole.

The producer-financier’s London-based TV shingle will make global shows via the boutique studio and the outfit is seeking to attract creatives to partner with on scripted labels across Europe. The TV arm will also look at direct and first-look deals with established on and off-screen talent.

To run the shingle, Anton has made a duo of splashy hires in the form of business unit boss Desai and Creative Director Doole, who worked closely together at Fremantle.

Doole, who was most recently CEO of It’s a Sin producer Red Productions and is a former Fremantle Director of Global Drama, will shape content plans, while Desai spearheads strategy, operations and business development. Desai’s past roles include Boatrocker Media Board Director and Fremantle Global COO and CEO of Emerging Markets.
