"Embrace the darkness. Fear the light." Goldove has revealed an official trailer for Lumina, an indie sci-fi horror thriller from filmmaker Gino McKoy. Set for release in July this summer, this looks like an ambitious indie film. A terrifying sci-fi thrill ride, Lumina follows four friends desperately searching for their abductee friend in a Dumb - Deep Underground Military Base. Whether they find their friend or not, what they find in the desert of the US to the sands of the Sahara, will change their lives forever. Lumina also incorporates elements of action and comedy, aiming to add more emotional depth into the science fiction genre. Starring Ken Lawson, Eric Roberts, Emily Hall, Rupert Lazarus, Eleanor Williams, Andrea Tivadar, and Sidney Nicole Rogers. There's so much going on in here, so many different ideas and visuals and twists, it almost seems like they've bit off more than they could chew.

Lumina, a film that follows the dream-like journey of a group of friends trying to find one of their own who disappeared suddenly after spaceships appeared outside their home, takes its inspiration from many real-life extraterrestrial experiences. Alien abductions, Area 51, government conspiracies — it’s all a part of the story of Patricia, Delilah, and George as they help Alex search for his beloved Tatiana who disappeared into the night sky.
The latest promotional clip for Lumina features the supposed “real testimonies of alien abductees” like Tatiana, who often are taken multiple times. In the film, which releases on July 12, 2024, none of the friends who join the search party are sure what to think. Why was Tatiana taken? How much does her family know? And why is Alex so convinced that she’s still alive and in need of their help?
The official Lumina synopsis tells of a story following “four...

A coach accident leads two tourists to a rural French mansion in this intriguing but confused film with implausibility at its core
Ana (Andrea Tivadar) and her boyfriend Tom (Tom Ainsley) are Americans travelling around Europe, who take a coach to a rural part of France where they expect to do farm work for a landowner, Richard (Steven Brand). The coach is involved in an accident, and when the two wake up everyone is gone, so they walk the rest of the way to Richard’s mansion. But Tom doesn’t get on so well with the landlord, and there’s something weird about the books in the house and records on the shelves.
Everything is just a tiny bit skewwhiff in this intriguing but flawed thriller, starting with the fact that although it’s supposed to be set somewhere near Provence’s lavender fields and about two Yanks, director Renata Gabryjelska is Polish,...
