Batman’s Batcave is one of the most decked out superhero lairs in the history of comic books, but after DC’s Marvel crossover, it got infinitely better with one ultimate upgrade that gave the Batcave something it should have had all along.
While the Batcave is used as a place of quiet tranquility for Batman as well as an effective storage facility for all his gadgets, suits, and vehicles, its main function is that of a command center, as it houses one of the world’s most powerful supercomputers, the Batcomputer. Through the Batcomputer, Bruce (and oftentimes Alfred or Oracle) is able to monitor everything that happens in Gotham, and even the entire world. The information gathered by the Batcomputer is integral to Batman’s superhero process. Batman doesn’t have superhuman abilities like the rest of the Justice League, but what he does have is the capacity to...

Wolverine is one of the most unkillable characters in the entire X-Men catalog, but in Marvel’s ultimate crossover with DC, it’s revealed how one of his long-time foes could actually kill him–and how easy it would be.
James “Logan” Howlett aka Wolverine is a mutant with the ability to heal from practically any injury, heightened animalistic senses, and retractable claws that extend from his fists. After undergoing experimentation by the hand of the evil organization known as Weapon X, Wolverine was made even deadlier than his mutation already made him, as adamantium was grafted to his skeleton. This made his claws deadlier, most of his vital organs better protected, and overall made Wolverine more durable in battle. However, even with his inherent healing factor, dangerous offensive claws, and indestructible skeleton, one villain can still end his life in a matter of seconds–and the Amalgam Universe proves it.

While may comics fans see Red Hood as the most violent killer in the Bat-Family, Nightwing committed murder long before Jason did. When Jason Todd came back from the dead as Red Hood, what should've been a momentous occasion turned into a tragedy when it was revealed that he had become a killer, going against everything the Bat-Family stands for.
One of the most significant rules of being a member of the Bat-Family is no killing, followed by no using guns, and Jason Todd has broken both of these rules. When Jason came back to life after being killed by the Joker, he took on the moniker of Red Hood and began killing criminals. This naturally put him at odds with Batman and the rest of his family, and Jason has never really managed to get past that. Jason seems to permanently be the black sheep of the family...

As Marvel Comics prepares to revisit its Ultimate Universe, this presents an array of opportunities for the company moving forward, including a chance to address the Ultimate Universe's influence on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This week, Marvel announced plans to release a series centered around the return of the Ultimate Universe. The storyline, comprised of a four-part miniseries, will be called the Ultimate Invasion.
For those unfamiliar with the Ultimate Universe, it was Marvel's popular variant imprint world showcased during the 2000s as a means to modernize Marvel for new readers without the burden of having to fit stories into decades of continuity. Many aspects of the Ultimate Universe wound up providing inspiration for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The use of Samuel L. Jackson's likeness for Nick Fury, the concept of S.H.I.E.L.D. forming the Avengers, and the alien species the Chitauri are just a...

One of the most iconic tricks that Batman is known for is his habit of disappearing in the middle of a conversation, usually with longtime ally Commissioner Gordon. But the actual reason why Batman does this turns out to be absolutely heartbreaking.
It has become an everyday staple in Batman media for Batman to vanish from sight at some point while having a conversation with someone. This has been used to show how stealthy Batman is and to build up his mystique, but it's also been utilized as a joke in more than one of his stories. Some have questioned exactly why Batman would do this, since vanishing in the middle of a conversation is usually considered pretty rude, after all. Others have also questioned how he can even do this since Batman's vanishing is almost a superpower. And while it's unlikely readers will ever get a concrete answer for how Batman does it,...

Whenever a new year approaches, I normally have a clear idea of which superhero movie will be my most anticipated. In the case of 2020, I’d like to say it’s Birds of Prey, yet I’m internally conflicted.
You see, even though I’ve been dying to see Black Canary and Huntress on the silver screen, the costuming department apparently decided to ignore using comic books for reference. Not only do those ladies’ outfits look nothing like their counterparts’ on the printed page, but neither does Harley Quinn’s. They’re basically unrecognizable. And there’s also the matter of significant reshoots to consider – but I’ll remain cautiously optimistic.
Regardless, we must brace ourselves because the marketing machine is starting to turn its gears. In an effort to entice casual fans to take a closer look at the books, DC Comics will be releasing three Birds of Prey...

Marvel isn't the only one exploring what would happen if one iconic character was pit against another iconic character. The Archie vs. Predator series from Archie Comics and Dark Horse Comics has returned with a brand new issue for its second run. With Riverdale in shambles, Veronica, Betty, and Predator-Archie—yes, you heard that correctly—must fight Predators on Mars if they want to return to any kind of normalcy. Archie vs. Predator II #1 is now out on shelves, and we have a look at the cover art and plot synopsis.
Archie vs. Predator II #1: "Riverdale has been destroyed.
All their friends are dead.
But it’s not over for Betty, Veronica, and Predator-Archie (?!)
That’s right.
This is the sequel to Archie Vs. Predator and it’s called Archie Vs. Predator 2.
Normally, Betty and Veronica would just go down Memory Lane and they’d get back home again where everything’s okay,...

I wouldn’t consider myself a fan of Michael Moorcock. Besides the wildly popular Elric tales, I know very little of his work. In fact, I have read only one Elric story, maybe. I can’t remember. So when the opportunity to review Chronicles of Corum Vol. 1: The Knight of the Swords came up, I took it. What did I have to lose?
If you’re reading this, you’re probably familiar with Moorcock’s concept of the Eternal Champion. However, if you were like me and had no idea, here we go: The Eternal Champion is a single hero who lives different lives across a vast multiverse. He is the champion of balance. He maintains order.
The most famous aspect of the Eternal Champion is Elric of Melnibone, and probably...

Batman has long been one of DC Entertainment's tentpole properties. In August the Dark Knight's latest animated movie Batman and Harley Quinn will be released. DC also announced that ahead of the animated movie, the company will release a digital comic book prequel and a comic book sequel.
The digital comic will be written by and feature art from the creative team behind DC's fan-favorite comic book based on the 1990s Batman The Animated Series, Ty Templeton and Rick Burchett.
Harley Quinn and Batman will be a five-part series that takes place before the events in the animated movie. The series will launch on July 31th with new episodes released every two weeks after that. Then in October, a seven-part sequel Batman and Harley Quinn launches as a weekly release. And if you're a purist and want to own everything as a print collection, you'll have to wait until...

Lately, there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding Batman and Harley Quinn, and understandably so. Aside from being the next DC animated film to arrive in what’s already been a solid year for the line, it unites two of the most popular characters in comics right now under the watch of the Clown Princess of Crime’s co-creator, Bruce Timm. Suffice it to say, when one of the minds behind Batman: The Animated Series is attached to a project, it’s going to instil some consumer confidence.
Now, if you’ve been keeping up to date with all the latest news regarding the movie (or just watched the trailer embedded at the top), then you’ve no doubt noticed a reprisal of the visual style The New Batman Adventures (or the “revamp episodes,” as they’re sometimes called) were known for.
To our delight, DC will continue appealing...
