The Ridiculous 6 Caused Multiple Actors to Walk Off Set

The Ridiculous 6 was Adam Sandler's first Netflix movie, a western released in 2015. The film stars Sandler as Tommy, a white man raised by Native Americans, with Danny Trejo, Terry Crews, a host of Saturday Night Live alum, and others rounding out the cast. Critics did not receive The Ridiculous 6 well, and it wasn't a movie that came about without challenges. Among the actors and actresses on set to appear in The Ridiculous 6 were over 100 Native Americans. Numerous members of Indigenous nations were so offended by the portrayal of their culture and heritage that they walked off-set of The Ridiculous 6 during production.
