The IndieGogo campaign for Andrew Saullo‘s Resident Evil fan web series, Resurrection: A Biohazard Story, is a success. Launched back in May, the 60-day campaign reached its goal of raising $200,000 to bring the four-part series to life, greenlighting full production. The current total stands at just over $205,000, with 36 hours left in the campaign.
Set to premiere free of charge on the Residence of Evil YouTube Channel in 2026— in celebration of Resident Evil’s 30th anniversary — the series promises to deliver an intense fusion of classic survival horror, action, and drama. Building on the momentum and praise received from The Keeper’s Diary, which reimagined the iconic diary entry from the original Resident Evil, Resurrection takes a bold step forward. With a runtime of approximately one hour across four episodes, this original narrative is the most expansive fan project ever attempted in the Re space.

IndieGogo Campaign Launched for Andrew Saullo’s ‘Resurrection: A Biohazard Story’ Web Series [Video]
After teasing fans back in March, director Andrew Saullo has kicked off the IndieGogo campaign for his Resident Evil fan web series, Resurrection: A Biohazard Story. The campaign will run for 60 days, and is looking to raise $200,000. Hinging on the success of the campaign, Saullo and company seek to make Resurrection the most ambitious biohazard fan project anticipated to date, as a four-part limited series to be released in full, free of charge, on the Residence of Evil Youtube channel. Each episode would run 15 minutes in length.
As detailed in the video below, the series, which will not be tied to official Resident Evil canon (for copyright reasons), will reunite members of the cast of the original Resident Evil cutscenes in Charlie Kraslavsky, Greg Smith, Eric Pirius and Linda, who played Chris Redfield, Barry Burton, Albert Wesker and Rebecca Chambers, respectively. Joining the original cast will be Annie Roig as Jill.

‘Twas so nice they’ve done it twice. After giving Resident Evil actors Charlie Kraslavsky, Greg Smith and Eric Pirius a chance to play the PlayStation classic that made them a favourite for many Re fans, Residence of Evil has taken the opportunity again to sit the actors down to play the game again. Only this time, they’ve brought along Rebecca Chambers’ actress Linda to give it a go with Resident Evil: Director’s Cut.
Hosted by Residence of Evil founder JJ Trulock to give Linda a helping hand with this video game stuff, the group shares their thoughts and memories of the game, with the cutscene being the obvious one. Linda actually hadn’t seen the opening cutscene before, but remembers “bits and pieces” of the shoot. With regards to her “role call” in the cutscene, Linda does remember that part, though admittedly was confused why they asked...

Director Andrew Saullo has just dropped the second Resident Evil cast reunion. And this time, Charlie Kraslavsky, Greg Smith and Eric Pirius are joined by the surprise addition of Rebecca Chambers’ actress, known as Linda! The quartet were joined by Saullo, as well as Residence of Evil founder JJ Trulock to discuss (what else?) their experience with Resident Evil, as well as some behind-the-scenes info on the shoot for the cutscenes.
Regarding the shoot for the cutscenes, Linda said that the experience “left a really big impact” on her at the time. “It was a big day. It was a wild shoot and it was very different than anything else that I had been doing in Japan at the time when I was modelling.” Still, Linda did remember her fellow actors, though she admitted that they all “looked a little bit different” at the time, including herself. “I remember for the shoot,...

After a successful launch of The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story, director Andrew Saullo has another treat in store for Resident Evil fans with another cast reunion video. This time, however, he’s upped the ante.
Originally reuniting portions of the cast from the live-action cutscenes from the original Resident Evil a few years back, Saullo dropped the news via the Residence of Evil X account that a second cast reunion video would be on the way for July 30th. Charlie Kraslavsky, Greg Smith and Eric Pirius will be back, but as you can see from the headline image, the trio will be joined by a female member of the cast.
As for who that certain someone is, much like the details of the video itself, Saullo is keeping it under wraps. Fans will immediately point to the woman being Jill Valentine’s actress, known as Inezh. Inezh was...

Two months after wrapping production, director Andrew Saullo has unleashed the teaser trailer for his upcoming Resident Evil fan film, The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story. Debuting during The Horror Game Awards 2023, the 15-second clip is a short but very sweet one, teasing the eventual release of the full trailer coming “soon”, exclusively on the Residence of Evil YouTube Channel.
The slick teaser for The Keeper’s Diary provides some rapid-fire cuts of Jill Valentine (played by Gracie Madsen), Charlie Kraslavsky as the ill-fated Umbrella researcher responsible for the Arklay Laboratory’s animals (aka “The Keeper”), “Steve from Research” (played by Frank Scalabrino), and of course, a typewriter.

Almost two months after the successful crowdfunding campaign, director Andrew Saullo announced via X that filming has completed on his fan film The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story. The team reportedly crammed in 20-hour days over the past two weeks in Michigan to build sets, assemble the actors and shoot the film, which will now head to the editing room.
The eventual release of the fan film (for free on the Residence of Evil YouTube Channel) is aiming for Q4 2023 – Q1 2024. There’s still no word yet on if The Keeper’s Diary will see a live screening for fans, though that has been discussed by Saullo and his team.

A week in, and the Indiegogo campaign for the Resident Evil fan film The Keeper’s Diary: A Biohazard Story is already at 44% funding with 20 days left. Director/producer Andrew Saullo and team are still forging ahead with preparations for the shoot, and have shared a behind-the-scenes look at one of the sets for the film.
Courtesy of Will at Resident Evil Central, the set in question is of The Keeper’s Room, specifically modelled after the 2002 remake of Resident Evil. On top of showing The Keeper slowly succumbing to the T-Virus infection, will the film include just how that zombie ended up in the closet? We’ll have to wait and see.
Of course, that all depends on the film getting its funding, which is an “all or nothing” project.

Original Chris Redfield actor Charlie Kraslavsky is suddenly a busy guy with Resident Evil tributes. Not only is he currently involved in Andrew Saullo‘s Resident Evil fan film The Keeper’s Diary (which launches its kickstarter next month), as well as filmmaker Shaun Meyer‘s film noir webseries Carrier: A Raccoon City Story, but he’s now involved with Invader Studios’ upcoming Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle. Charlie took to Twitter yesterday to reveal that he’s doing a little cameo in the prequel to 2019’s Daymare: 1998.
Speaking from his home city of Tokyo, Charlie revealed that for the first time in 27 years, he was going to make the leap back into video games. “Thanks to the team at Invader Studios, I’m going to be in Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle, the much-anticipated prequel to Daymare: 1998,” announced Charlie. “Thank you so much to Michele [Giannone, Creative Director at Invader Studios] and the whole team at Invader. For those Resident Evil fans wondering just what’s going on with director/producer Andrew Saullo‘s fan film The Keeper’s Diary, the team dropped us a line to give a small update on the film.
As you might recall, Saullo, together with the folks at Residence of Evil, dropped a trailer last August for the film, which is now aiming to launch a Kickstarter campaign next month at the earliest for funding the project. In addition, Saullo has relocated production from Germany (where production on the film was taking place) to work with Andy from Biohazard Declassified in order to help launch the crowdfunding campaign, as well as help manage the social media aspects.
Once again, this is all separate from Residence of Evil’s own film about The Keeper’s Diary called The Keeper, which will be directed by Shawn Lebert.

Chris Redfield actor Charlie Kraslavsky is certainly putting his fame with Resident Evil fans to good use. While still collaborating with director Andrew Saullo for Saullo’s upcoming short The Keeper’s Diary, Kraslavsky has now been revealed to be teaming up with filmmaker Shaun Meyer on his film noir webseries Carrier: A Raccoon City Story.
Thanks once again to Biohazard Declassified, Kraslavsky will be starring as Raccoon City Mayor Michael Warren in the next episode of Carrier, which is expected to drop later this month. Details are still to come regarding the episode, including information on Kraslavsky’s Mayor Warren character.
In case you missed it the first time, Carrier started out last year with a pilot episode. Set in 1995 and starring Noah Goldberg, Pablo Kolache, and Trent Hall, Carrier follows the “hardboiled, boozing, cynical” detective Sam Othic , who is currently working for the Raccoon City Police Department. If you’ve been paying attention to director/producer Andrew Saullo‘s efforts while filming his Resident Evil short The Keeper, you know that he managed to track down and reunite three of the original actors who starred in the opening cutscene for Resident Evil. Over the holidays, Saullo released the last of the videos he managed to film with the trio, which involve a mix of behind-the-scenes footage, as well as Charlie Kraslavsky (aka Chris Redfield) firing off a real Samurai Edge handgun.
The first video has Kraslavsky at a shooting range in Cedar City, Ut using the famous custom Beretta 92F, which is decked out with S.T.A.R.S. insignias. On loan from Scott Alker, Kraslavsky notes the gun’s aesthetics before going through some target practice. Kraslavsky also tests out several other weapons with the Iron County Sheriff’s Office. Director/producer Andrew Saullo is back once again with another video involving the trio of actors from the original Resident Evil cutscenes. This time, it’s a short film entitled Resident Evil: Resurrection, which stars Charlie Kraslavsky, Greg Smith and Eric Pirius, reprising their roles as Chris Redfield, Barry Burton and Albert Wesker, respectively.
The three minute short sees Chris Redfield teaming up with former partner, Barry Burton, to deal with Albert Wesker once again. If you recall the image that appeared online back in June that featured Kraslavsky as Chris, that was Resident Evil: Resurrection.
Saullo states that the short was made with little in the way of resources, but could potentially be turned into a more in-depth short with higher production values if fans show interest. This would be separate from Saullo’s main project, an adaptation of The Keeper’s Diary starring Kraslavsky as the Umbrella researcher...

They’re back. After director/producer Andrew Saullo managed to track down and sit down with three of the cast members from the Resident Evil cutscenes, Saullo promised more videos involving the trio in the future. And one of those videos was just released, showing the actors playing the original game for the first time.
Three of the live-action cast, Charlie Kraslavsky, Greg Smith and Eric Pirius finally managed to play the 1996 version of Resident Evil this past June, chatting it up and reacting to iconic moments.

Earlier this week, director/producer Andrew Saullo dropped the trailer for his upcoming Resident Evil fan short The Keeper, while also promising more goodies related to the shoot. Well, the first one dropped yesterday, with the trio of original Resident Evil cast members from the game sitting down for a little chat.
If you missed it, Saullo originally had contacted the three actors to audition for the role in The Keeper, with Kraslavsky winning the part. But, seeing as the cast had never sat down to chat about their experience working on Resident Evil together, it only made sense to do do. The trio in fact will be reprising their iconic roles in a separate short directed by Saullo.

Okay, so Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City wasn’t to everyone’s tastes, but just like the video games, leave it to the fans to be making amends. Case in point: director/producer Andrew Saullo is currently working on an adaptation of The Keeper’s Diary starring Charlie Kraslavsky from the original live-action cutscene for Resident Evil.
For those unaware, “The Keeper’s Diary” refers to the file written by an Umbrella researcher responsible for the Arklay Laboratory’s animals being prepped for experimentation. This is the one involving the famous “Itchy. Tasty.” line. Saullo had auditioned Kraslavsky, Greg Smith and Eric Pirius for the role of the ill-fated Umbrella researcher known as The Keeper for the short, with Kraslavsky being selected. Don’t feel bad for Pirius and Smith, as you’ll soon read later.
