Apos: ‘Taxi Driver 3’ Coming to Viu in 2025 as Streamer Expands Asian Originals Slate

Lee Je-hoon is set to reprise his fan-favorite role as vigilante cab driver Kim Do-gi in Taxi Driver 3, the latest installment in the hit Korean action series from Sbs and Viu. The third season will launch in the fourth quarter of 2025 as a Viu original across global markets — excluding South Korea and mainland China — following the breakout success of the show’s first two seasons.

The new season will once again reunite Je-hoon with co-stars Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin and Bae Yoo-ram, continuing the high-stakes exploits of the Rainbow Taxi team. Series collaborators Oh Sang-ho and Kang Bo-seung return as writer and director, respectively.

Edan Lui of Hong Kong boy band Mirror will also make his Korean drama debut in the new season, joining the cast in a role that pairs him in an uneasy alliance with Kim Do-gi.

Lee Je-hoon is buckling up for another ride as the vigilante taxi driver Kim Do-gi in “Taxi Driver 3,” with Viu and Sbs announcing the third season of the global hit series will premiere in Q4 2025. The announcement was made at the ongoing Apos conference in Indonesia.

The streaming platform revealed that the latest installment will debut as a Viu original worldwide, excluding South Korea and mainland China, following the record-breaking performance of Season 2. Je-hoon returns alongside fan favorites Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin and Bae Yoo-ram for what promises to be the Rainbow Taxi team’s most dangerous missions yet.

Adding international flavor to the Korean production, Hong Kong boy band Mirror member Edan Lui will make his Korean drama debut as a character who forms an unpredictable alliance with Kim Do-gi.

Writer Oh Sang-ho and director Kang Bo-seung return to helm the series, which centers on Je-hoon’s brilliant yet tormented vigilante.

Ott platform Viu and Korean network Sbs will release the third season of Taxi Driver in Q4 this year, with Korean star Lee Je-hoon (Move to Heaven) returning to the cast alongside Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin and Bae Yoo-ram.

The new season will premiere as a Viu Original worldwide, excluding South Korea and mainland China.
