Exclusive: CMA Entertainment, a boutique management firm with over 20 years’ experience in developing and managing talent, will acquire Prevail Artist Management, with Prevail principal Lori Kay joining as a talent manager and producer. With the move, CMA continues to grow its management team and expand its production arm.

Kay, a principal at Prevail since 2015, brings with her a talent roster which includes Jeremy Holm, Reema Sampat, Leah Kreitz (Dash & Lily), Aimé Donna Kelly, Michael Oloyede, Paul Rolfes, as well as indie film favorite Katelyn Pearce and Broadway’s Michael Andreaus. Does it get any more festive than snow in New York? I know many, many people have the lifelong dream of spending Christmas in the Big Apple and I have to admit that it is a dream that I also share! The closest I am probably ever going to get to this dream was the opening moments of the new Netflix original series Dash and Lily which involves a panning camera which showing the classic New York buildings complete with snow falling from the sky!

Dash and Lily follows all the conventions of your classic teenage ‘relatable’ series; for example the contrast between Dash who hates Christmas with a passion, against Lily who loves the festive period.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in New York. Netflix on Friday released the full-length trailer for Season 1 of Dash & Lily, a festive romantic comedy set in the greatest city in the world.

Here’s what to expect, per the streamer’s official synopsis: “A whirlwind Holiday romance builds as cynical Dash and optimistic Lily trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations all across New York City, finding they have more in common with each other than they would have expected.”

Based on the Ya book series Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan, the eight-episode holiday comedy revolves around cynical Dash (Austin Abrams) and optimistic Lily (Midori Francis). Trading dares, dreams and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations all across New York City, they find they have more in common with each other than either expected.

Thacker will play Priya. An Upper East Side party girl and frenemy to Dash. Kreitz will portray Aryn. A vegan riot grrl who’s an older friend to Lily. Stewart will play Roberta. The Den mother of a group of East Village Christmas carolers.
