Big Brother 26 spoilers: Live Feeds update reveals more crying, worried houseguests, and an eviction target
Quinn Martin
Big Brother 26 spoilers from the Live Feeds reveal how things have been going with a new Head of Household.

The Tucker Des Lauriers eviction has opened the door for many new contenders in the BB26 cast.

Only 10 people remain competing for that $750,000 prize and several players are finally waking up to the game.

Quinn Martin won the latest Hoh Competition. Outgoing Hoh T’Kor Clottery watched an intense challenge between the other nine players on Thursday night (August 29).

CBS viewers will see footage of that challenge during the Sunday night episode (September 1).

With the power in his hands, Quinn had to choose sides (finally), and he did just that with his eviction nominations.

Quinn nominated Angela Murray, Kimo Apaka, and Rubina Bernabe.

Rubina didn’t have much time to recover from losing her showmance partner to the eviction and shed many tears on the feeds. She wasn’t the only one.

Julie Chen Moonves in Big Brother (2000)
Big Brother winner reveals their favorite BB26 cast members
Julie Chen Moonves in Big Brother (2000)
A Big Brother winner revealed their favorite players this season in a new social media post.

It was an interesting revelation featuring some new houseguests who might be on the right track to win the $750,000 prize.

There are 15 people left in the game after Matt Hardeman got evicted, but some are on personal islands.

Kenney Kelley and Lisa Weintraub are two houseguests in trouble if they don’t find some strong alliance members soon.

That makes it unsurprising to see Kenney and Lisa absent from lists that fans and alums have shared recently.

This is a spoiler-free article, so readers don’t have to be worried about learning anything in advance.

Julie Chen Moonves in Big Brother (2000)
The Big Brother 26 cast was revealed, and their pre-show interviews were given.

One of the questions each houseguest is typically asked is who they will model their games after.

The answers to that question can sometimes reveal whether a new houseguest is a Big Brother fan.

Sometimes, when people state who they most identify with, it also teases how they will play the game.

Here’s a link to the BB26 cast list for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet. This summer, 16 new players are competing for a $750,000 prize.

One of those players is a former undercover cop.

Who does each Big Brother 26 houseguest most identify with?

Below is the list of BB26 houseguests and who they named when asked to reveal which former player they most identify with. And remember, they didn’t have to be honest with their answers.

Big Brother 15 winner shades Survivor 46, castaway Charlie Davis claps back about troubling BB15 season
Image
An unexpected feud between a Big Brother winner and a new Survivor player may have just begun.

Three episodes into the Survivor 46 season, it has been rough-sledding for one particular tribe. And viewers have noticed.

One such viewer seems to be BB15 winner Andy Herren, who shared some thoughts on social media.

Andy was part of a very troubled season of Big Brother that aired in the summer of 2013. Numerous racist and homophobic comments made by houseguests that season embroiled the reality competition show in controversy.

It has seemed like CBS wanted to distance itself from that season, with nobody from the BB15 cast returning to play the game again.

The troubled BB15 season and the casting for Survivor 46 set the background for a social media dust-up this week.

Andy Herren Doesn’t Want This Big Brother 25 Houseguest To Win Because They Allegedly Hate Women
Image
Big Brother winner Andy Herren wants Jag to win BB25 because he dislikes Matt's defamatory comments against women and Bowie's lack of awareness. Andy, a professor of public speaking and media, finds the final 3's gameplay uninteresting, leading him to support the person he likes the most. Despite Jag's less impressive gameplay, Andy will root for him over Matt and Bowie due to his disdain for Matt's behavior and Bowie's actions in the house.

Big Brother 25 is coming to a close, but Bb 15 winner Andy Herren has one final hope for the season revolving around who he doesn't want to see win the game. While Andy has been a huge part of the Big Brother community in the decade since his win, many have found his takes to be polarizing when it comes to the game. Andy understands the game on a different level than most, having both participated in...

Andy Herren Claims This Big Brother 25 Houseguest Has "Broken" The Show
Image
Big Brother 25 has faced criticism for its competition format, with one contestant winning an unprecedented number of competitions in a single season. Long-time viewers have noticed a shift towards physical competitions in recent seasons, leaving some houseguests at a disadvantage. Big Brother should consider overhauling its competition format to create more equity and allow for shifts in power dynamics in future seasons.

Big Brother season 25 is coming to an end, but with the final 3 still in the competition for the endgame title, alums like Big Brother 15's Andy Herren are speaking out against the season as a whole. The 25th anniversary season of Big Brother has been a battle to the bitter end as the houseguests have all been competing for the $750,000 grand prize, but some have performed better than others in their time on the show. With just a few Big Brother 25 competitors remaining, there's been a lot of...

Fans of Big Brother are unhappy with the results of the final 4 Head Of Household competition, with some alumni expressing their disdain on social media. Bowie Jane, the winner of the competition, has been criticized for her gameplay style of aligning with strong players and making no decisions of her own. Despite having the most Head Of Household wins, Bowie's reputation as a floater may hurt her chances of winning the season unless something major changes.

Big Brother: The “Helen Was Pushed” Conspiracy Theory Explained
Image
The "Helen Was Pushed" conspiracy theory emerged during Big Brother 15 due to an incident during the Wall competition where Helen seemed to be tapped or pushed off her platform. Fans insist that Helen was pushed. Helen herself has denied being pushed and stated that she struggled with endurance competitions, but fans still believe that something suspicious happened during the Wall competition. The conspiracy theory continues to circulate.

Big Brother 15 houseguest Helen Kim has been at the center of the "Helen Was Pushed" conspiracy theory since 2013, and it's time to revisit the events that led up to this infamous accusation. Through the years, the Big Brother producers have often been accused of rigging the game in certain houseguests' favors. Although outright tampering with the game is prohibited by law, the producers have been accused of favoring certain contestants who eventually won America's Votes or creating powers that worked in certain players' favors.

‘Big Brother’ Fans Want Contestant Luke Valentine Out After He Used the N-Word: ‘Every Minute’ He Stays Is ‘Humiliating’ the Show
“Big Brother” fans are calling for the ouster of houseguest Luke Valentine, but not for his gameplay. The calls to get him out of the house in fact come after he casually dropped the N-word in conversation.

During the conversation, he explains, “We were in the f–ing room, n—-,” but catches himself immediately. He tried to laugh it off and correct himself with “dude,” but the word still rang pretty clear. You can watch it here.

Image
Ian Terry (Big Brother 1) used his prize money to pay off student loan debt, and now works as a consultant in Houston. He has Twitch and Cameo accounts. Andy Herren (Big Brother 15) resides in Chicago, and is active on social media. He posts comical content, and speaks out against social injustices. A Big Brother winner's life may change forever after they bring home the grand prize at the end of a grueling summer inside the house, and it's time to talk about what the last 10 winners have been up to. Big Brother: The 10 Most Recent Seasons, Ranked By IMDb Score
Image
The last 10 seasons of Big Brother are notorious for not being as good as the early seasons, so it's interesting to compare how the newer seasons fare on IMDb. There was a big switch about 10 years ago when the show dramatically changed. This was due to the addition of HD cameras, so the show was not as raw. This new feel, plus a change in the player's strategy, caused the new era of Big Brother to feel like a whole new game, and there is a longing for the old-school version of the show.

When the newer seasons, such as Big Brother season 24, are compared with each other instead of the classic seasons, some of their flaws and strengths become more apparent. When rewatching any season of Big Brother, fans face some harsh realities. For example, casting can make or break a season, and it is just a fact some...

Former ‘Big Brother’ winner Andy Herren says the Cookout is ‘best alliance’ in show’s history

They did it. The Cookout just made “Big Brother” history by becoming the first all-Black alliance to make it to the Final 6. Azah Awasum, Derek Frazier, Hannah Chaddha, Kyland Young, Tiffany Mitchell and Xavier Prather sealed the deal during the September 9 double eviction episode after sending Claire Rehfuss and Alyssa Lopez to the jury house. Now, former “Big Brother” Season 15 winner Andy Herren is going on record saying that the Cookout is the reality TV show’s “best alliance” ever. Do you agree?

‘Bachelor’ Fans Are Fine With Colton Underwood Coming Out – But Not With How He Treated Cassie
Colton Underwood
Colton Underwood, who starred as ABC’s “The Bachelor” in 2019, publicly came out in an interview with “Good Morning America” on Tuesday. In the hours following his announcement, Underwood received an outpouring of support for accepting his sexuality, but just as much criticism for his actions with the woman he chose at the end of his season, Cassie Randolph.

Through 25 seasons of “The Bachelor,” 10 have ended without a proposal, and Underwood’s was one of them. In fact, Randolph wasn’t one of the final two women in Underwood’s season. She made it to the final three, before breaking up with him and leaving of her own accord. But, in the end, Underwood broke up with the remaining two women and asked Randolph to give him a second chance.

The two dated for more than a year after that, but eventually parted ways. In September, Randolph was granted a restraining order against Underwood,...

Big Brother Contestants Cruelly Mock Autistic Houseguest Ian Terry
Julie Chen Moonves in Big Brother (2000)
Big Brother remains one of the most controversial shows around, and despite Wednesday's episode of the reality series showing Ian Terry's fellow houseguests supporting him, they were singing a different tune on the live feeds.

The episode in question showed Ian revealing that he was suffering, before going off to see a medic to assess whether he was fine to continue on the series.

Ian was chosen to play in this week's Veto competition, but told current Head of Household -- Christmas Abbott -- that he was advised against taking part in the competition.

While the episode showed Christmas telling him to do what was best for him, Abbott complained on the live feeds that he was not competing because he simply didn't want to, as well as implying that getting out of the competition was intentional.

Ian, who won Big Brother Season 14, revealed earlier this season that he is on the autism spectrum,...

Big Brother Winners: Where Are They Now?
Julie Chen Moonves in Big Brother (2000)
Big Brother has been filled with drama since its inception 20 years ago.

Several people have won the grand prize, and while some may not have deserved it, they managed to scheme their way to the top spot.

With a second All-Stars season on the way, it's time to take a look back at some of the winners and where they are at today.

Eddie McGee (Season 1)

Big Brother was a very different game when it launched back in the year 2000.

McGee played a decent enough game and is the first-ever winner of the U.S. iteration.

In the years since his win, he has worked as an actor, with roles in The Human Race and God's Pocket.

Will Kirby (Season 2)

Will is one of the best players to ever enter the house. There's no doubt about that.

He subsequently returned to the game in Big Brother: All Stars, and finished in fourth place.

Big Brother Winner Andy Herren Says Diversity On The Show Is ‘Atrocious’

Andy Herren, the winner of Big Brother 15, has criticized the CBS reality show's lack of diverse houseguests after saying he is "bitter" that production did not ask for him to return.

Herren released a statement via Twitter on Saturday on the matter.

“It is important to speak up because Big Brother has always had a problem with minority representation,” Herren said.

“There are usually at most two Black houseguests and one gay houseguest and Latino and Asian representation is even worse.”

He noted that “straight white males compromise 12 of the 21 winners of the show, which is so crazy when you really break it down.”

Herren added, “Gay houseguests, for example, [they] are never afforded this luxury. There is always just one. They are simply a side character — an obstacle for the straight people to overcome on their way to the finish line.”

Nicole Franzel in Big Brother (2000)
Kaycee would be the second female ‘Big Brother’ winner to defeat a guy in the final
Nicole Franzel in Big Brother (2000)
Kaycee is the odds-on favorite to win “Big Brother 20,” and if our little peanut does pull it off, she’d only be the second woman to beat a man in the final. Can we get a “Let’s go!”?

The first instance occurred just two years ago, when Nicole Franzel beat Paul Abrahamian 5-4 on “Big Brother 18.” All the other male-female final twos resulted in the guy winning the $500,000:

Season 2: Dr. Will Kirby beat Nicole Nilson Schaffrich

Season 7: Mike “Boogie” Malin beat Erika Landin

Season 8: Evil Dick beat Daniele Donato

Season 15: Andy Herren beat Gina-Marie Zimmerman

Season 17: Steve Moses beat Liz Nolan

See Breaking down the ‘Big Brother 20’ jury votes: Who will be the most bitter of them all?

Notably, women have defeated men on the “Big Brother” spin-offs, “Over the Top” (Morgan Willett over Jason Roy) and “Celebrity Big Brother” (Marissa Jaret Winokur...

Big Brother fans freak out after Andy Herren posts Amanda Zuckerman death hoax
Big Brother fans often follow previous houseguests on social media. Andy Herren won Season 15 and since then, he has been active on Twitter doling out his opinions on the current season of the show. On Sunday night, Andy Herren sent out a tweet that said that Amanda Zuckerman had died. She is also a former Big Brother player. There has been plenty of fallout stemming from Andy Herren tweeting that Amanda Zuckerman died. He thought that people would obviously know it was a joke since the announcement was tweeted with her wearing a bikini. Clearly, that isn’t what happened. […]

Angela Rummans, Sam Bledsoe, and Brett Robinson in Big Brother (2000)
‘Big Brother 20’ spoilers: Did Sam ruin her game with her slut-shaming comments about Kaitlyn and Haleigh? [Poll]
Angela Rummans, Sam Bledsoe, and Brett Robinson in Big Brother (2000)
Does Sam Bledsoe have a case of HOHitis or are her true colors coming out? During the nomination ceremony that aired on Sunday’s “Big Brother 20,” Sam accused her nominees Kaitlyn and Haleigh of betraying female empowerment, telling them to have more respect for themselves and essentially slut-shaming them for “hanging all over” the men in the house. It was a shocking statement — one that she kept reinforcing on the live feeds after the ceremony, which took place in the house on Friday — that could severely impact her own game.

See ‘Big Brother 20’ spoilers: Who won week 4 Power of Veto competition on #BB20 and what does it mean for July 26 eviction?

During a chat with Rachel in the Hoh room on Friday, Sam further explained why she doesn’t think Kaitlyn and Haleigh respect themselves (watch above). “Lately [Kaitlyn’s] been going on and on about female empowerment, and what they do...

New Big Brother Season 20 Major Possible Twist Reportedly Debunked
Hey fellow Big Brother peeps. We've got a new, pretty interesting update for you guys in regards to the twist for the upcoming 20th season. Apparently, CBS recently released another one of their promo commercials that featured host Julie Chen possibly giving away a few hints as to what the new twist might be. All the news outlets jumped on it, claiming that whatever she said could be the new twist. In the commercial, certain words were referenced such as "high-tech reboot" and "trending." The promo says, "Big Brother's getting a high-tech reboot!" Then Julie Chen says, "The houseguests better start trending or they're game could crash." After that, the clip went on to say, "Sixteen new houseguests are going to get hacked, cracked, and that's a fact." The clip capped off with Julie Chen saying, "This could break the internet." This caused everyone to think that there's going to...

Recap: 'Big Brother' Final 4 Snark With Andy Herren
McCrae Olson, Aaryn Gries, Elissa Slater, and Andy Herren in Big Brother (2000)
Well, it happened. One ridiculous game twist ruined Frankie Grande's otherwise admirable game. The pink-haired imp was sentenced to 50 years of shellacking his sister's ponytails, and we may never hear from him again (unless you count Twitter and YouTube, where he apparently engages in "mogul"-like activities). Tough break, (31-year-old) kid. Man. We're down to four: Victoria (who is about as threatening as a panda in a pop-up book), Cody (a man with gold pecs who's turning in a bronze-worthy performance), Derrick (a genius who is nice enough to feed his fellow players millet and cud every so often) and Caleb (a backwards cap with feet). Let's check in with our pal Andy Herren, the winner of "BB15," and put together our thoughts on the remaining players and the legacy of Frankie Grande. We've divided this week's evaluations into "What to love" and "What to hate," since Andy and...

Julie Chen Moonves in Big Brother (2000)
Recap: 'Big Brother' Tuesday - Andy Herren's Final 5 Notes
Julie Chen Moonves in Big Brother (2000)
No matter what way you slice it, we're down to five distinct characters on "Big Brother 16": the clear frontrunner, the clear frontrunner's gay understudy, the hapless beefcake, the even more hapless beefcake, and a perfect sliver of God named Victoria. That's what we've got. As the final week of "Big Brother" rolls by, it's clear it's going to take a miracle for a major turnaround in the game to occur. Who's capable of such a feat? Anyone? To help us analyze everyone's game this week, we've again enlisted the help of our friend Andy Herren, the winner of "Big Brother 15." Join us as we grade everyone in the house and basically just start applauding when Derrick's name comes up. Victoria the Star Andy Herren: I really want to live in Victoria’s version of reality. In Victoria’s mind, she has played a brilliant social game alongside Derrick,...

Donny Osmond
Recap: 'Big Brother' Wednesday - Snarking With Andy Herren
Donny Osmond
No use throwing an old-fashioned Zach tantrum on this very languid Thursday morning. Let's face the facts like cool, serene Derrick: The Wednesday edition of "Big Brother" was criminally dull this week, and that's -- Stuart Smalley voice engaged! -- Ok. The rigged Pov challenge resulted in an expected victory for the Detonators against Donny, Christine found herself floundering in her un-fascinating second life on the show, and Victoria commanded almost 80 seconds of screentime by inviting new teeth into her mouth. Yes, that's right: Victoria's teeth are more exciting houseguests than Victoria. To help us analyze the remaining players in the game, we invited our pal Andy Herren -- the winner of "Big Brother 15" -- to drop some commentary about the houseguests. We'll handle this in an orderly, completely asinine fashion. Cody: Hot Guy Playing a Cold War Andy Herren: Okay, so Cody has been getting a lot...

Julie Chen Moonves in Big Brother (2000)
Recap: 'Big Brother' Wednesday - Who's Most Embarrassing?
Julie Chen Moonves in Big Brother (2000)
I wish Gilbert Gottfried, who voiced Otev last night in "Big Brother's" traditional Pov challenge centered around the fictional boss, had really ripped into the houseguests and said in his trademark screech, "What an annoying bunch of houseguests this year! What horrible voices! For Christ's sake! Morons."   Because they are annoying this year. Frankly, with Jocasta out of the house for now, we're really missing a core type of personality in the game: a happy person. Yeah, Cody is sort of affable. Christine seems friendly, and I loved her Hoh blog this week. Donny is part possum, and possums always seem satisfied. But Jocasta truly beamed. She was never dogged by being on the block, and she usually responded to the threat of elimination by dialing herself up on a fake phone and throwing down an incoherent one-liner about God. Oh, how I miss it. Rumor is God does too.

Zach Lipovsky
Recap: 'Big Brother' Wednesday - 7 Crucial Observations
Zach Lipovsky
Julie Chen says the phrase, "It's a double eviction" the way the doctor in "Love Story" tells us Jenny has leukemia. Grim, unsmiling, heavy monotone -- and she's right to establish the stakes. It's a life-or-death moment, and I'm glad we're getting to the most dramatic type of "Big Brother" week just as I realize I can't take another minute of the "Battle of the Block" rigamarole. Two houseguests are voted back into society tomorrow (which is a scary idea as is), and it seems like spanky Zankie is in grave danger. Is this good or bad for "Big Brother 16"? Instead of recapping every moment of this better-than-usual Wednesday episode, we're breaking down the events with seven crucial questions about the game at hand. Who's game is most impressive right now? Whose game is suffering from dramatic setbacks? Who does the best job of remembering Victoria's name? I consider all...

Recap: 'Big Brother' Wednesday - Our 7 Burning Questions
Christine Haebler
Some of our questions about "Big Brother 16" are truly unanswerable. For instance: Do Julie Chen and Les Moonves joke in their monstrous bed about what a crybaby creep Caleb is? Or: Is Jocasta outfitted by Brooks Brothers? And most importantly: How can Frankie be 31-years-old and thrilled about receiving a Justin Bieber album? I'll leave the FBI or Nasa to understand that one. Wednesday's episode was a so-so hour that mostly confirmed what we'd already guessed: Frankie would find a way to remove either Jocasta or Victoria from the block and replace that person with Amber. Hayden, in fact, won the power of veto in a highly libidinous cowboy-themed challenge (We'll get to it in a moment), and Frankie seized that opportunity to replace Victoria with the totally blindsided Amber. Poor girl. If you weren't calling her Leona Lewzer before, now you have an official reason. Girl will be bleeding...

Recap: 'Big Brother' Wednesday - We Judge With Andy Herren
McCrae Olson, Aaryn Gries, Elissa Slater, and Andy Herren in Big Brother (2000)
Here's a meager suggestion: Cherish this time now, because we've arrived at the most enjoyable stage of the "Big Brother" season. While there are still plenty of obvious losers with cellophane eyes and candy brains who need to leave Chenbot Manor and head back to their Not So Elite modeling gigs, we've finally arrived at the moment where we can recognize everyone in the house, identify their weaknesses and strengths, and make real predictions. During last night's Power of Veto episode, I came up with five big points to consider as the season progresses. To validate my points, I'm dragging along Andy Herren -- the winner of BB15 -- to share his thoughts on the players too. Here are our five biggest takeaway's from Wednesday's Pov spectacular. 1. Donny is the best. And the worst. Andy Herren: I hate Donny. Don’t get me wrong, I Love Donny, but that’s why I hate him.

Recap: 'Big Brother' Wednesday - Devin Go Stomp Stomp!
We need to start slipping canned goods and secret messages into the "Big Brother" house, because it's basically a hostage situation in there.  Two weeks into its 16th season, "Big Brother" is feeling (in order) a little dull, a little thrilling, and scary. Dull because half the house is alleged people named "Victoria" and "Jocasta" and "Cody" who've yet to do anything but blink a little and have a first name. Thrilling because "Zrankie"/"Zankie" is real, and I just want to watch Zach and Frankie giggle and gyrate in the pool all day. Scary because Devin, who is just a frowning pile of cinder blocks, is somehow a commanding authority at the moment. The whole house is afraid of his tugboat-sized arms and unreal lack of self-awareness. He's like the brawniest goldfish of all time. With that horrifying image in mind, let's descend into the episode.  8:04: In...

Recap: 'Big Brother' 16 Night 2 - Andy Herren Judges With Us
McCrae Olson, Aaryn Gries, Elissa Slater, and Andy Herren in Big Brother (2000)
Night two of "Big Brother 16" served up some saucy new houseguests and a couple of strange (er, confusing?) twists. We were aware of the existence of a "Team America" thanks to Wednesday night's premiere, but we just learned that Joey, a blue-haired person who recycles Aquafina bottles in the Pacific Northwest, was voted by viewers to be the first houseguest on the secret three-person team. She'll get special chances to win $5,000 for every silly challenge/dare she completes. "Now this is some Green I won't be recycling!" she doesn't say to us, but you can just effing imagine it. We also learned more about the two-hoh, four-block-nominee system of tyranny that Julie Chen is so excited about. (She is extra sinister this season. I always expect her to turn to the camera and whisper, "The houseguests don't know that right now they're drinking the blood of Les Moonves' first wife.

Julie Chen Moonves in Big Brother (2000)
It Sucks To Be Horny in the 'Big Brother' House
Julie Chen Moonves in Big Brother (2000)
When you watch CBS' "Big Brother," you learn virtually everything about its contestants -- their intentions, their backstories, their best qualities, and certainly their worst qualities. But unless the show's contestants explicitly discuss having sex in the house (like last season's "showmance" Amanda and McCrae), you rarely hear about how the contestants of "Big Brother" deal with sexual frustrations. HitFix caught up with "Big Brother 15" winner Andy Herren to discuss a few burning questions about the show: his favorite cast members, his least favorite cast members, and how he dealt with being a single gay guy with no potential for a hookup in the house.   "I had two wet dreams when I was in the 'Big Brother' house. Yep, two of them," he admitted. "And I'd never had one of them prior to going in. There were a couple nights when I'd be laying in bed, and I'd position myself -- like,...

“Survivor” Recap: Biggest Mistake Ever? Yes.
At the moment, Survivor: Blood Vs. Water should be called Survivor: Non-Heroes Vs. Non-Villains. Every remaining competitor is playing a low-key game (with the exception of Caleb, whose last-minute blitz on Brad Culpepper during that Tadhana tribal council is still the season’s most shocking move), and so far no one is even planning on anything nefarious or insane (with the exception of Colton, who left the game preemptively on a magic carpet made out of an oversize pink polo shirt).

Sure, Tyson is shoring up some propaganda against Aras, using backhanded remarks to make him look like an unfit teammate in front of his fellow tribesman, but that’s not exactly psychological warfare. We’re at a point where teammates who twitch too suddenly or utter anything suspicious get sent packing, and that was certainly the case on Wednesday’s episode. I hope some loudmouths start commandeering this game soon,...

‘Big Brother’ Reveals New Winner On Season 15 Finale
Do you think the right person won ‘Big Brother’? Find out the results, then weigh in!

It’s been a rough season of Big Brother – certainly one of the most controversial, given all the racism and homophobia in the house — and the whole thing finally came to an end Sept. 20, as host Julie Chen revealed the outcome of the final votes.

‘Big Brother’ 15 Winner Revealed

And the winner is… Andy Herren!

Not only was this a huge step for Andys everywhere — I’m very proud of my namesake, thank you very much — but it’s also a major milestone for Big Brother, as Chicago-native Andy is the first openly gay winner in Bb history!

Andy’s final victory came by a vote of 7 to 2; the only contestants who didn’t vote for him were Aaryn Gries, 22, and Judd Daugherty, 26. (But, honestly, are you surprised?)

Andy Herren Talks About Winning ‘Big Brother’

'Big Brother 15' Winner Reveals $500,000 Plan and Reacts to Season's Controversy
McCrae Olson, Aaryn Gries, Elissa Slater, and Andy Herren in Big Brother (2000)
[Warning: Do not proceed if you have not watched Wednesday's finale.] In the end, it was Andy Herren who came out on top on Big Brother. The 26-year-old, a Chicago-based public-speaking professor, laid low during much of the season, aligning with power players and not ruffling any feathers -- a key point that would ultimately give Herren the $500,000 grand prize with a landslide 7-2 vote over fellow Exterminator GinaMarie Zimmerman. After the finale aired Wednesday evening, Herren spoke to The Hollywood Reporter in Studio City, Calif., about his plans for the $500,000, what

Survivor (2000)
'Survivor' down, but CBS still wins night
Survivor (2000)
The premiere of Survivor: Blood V. Water, along with the season finale of Big Brother, helped CBS to win the last Wednesday before the new season in adults 18-49.

CBS averaged a 2.5 rating/8 share and 8.1 million viewers – enough to squeak out a win, according to Nielsen. But Survivor, which is pitting previous players with relatives, certainly didn’t break any ratings records. The premiere was down 19% from last year’s fall Survivor: Philippines (3.2/10 on 9/19/12, 8-9:30p) and earned its lowest-rated fall premiere ever. Maybe we should blame the so-not-wanted return of that ornery player Colton?

Big Brother, which was won by Andy Herren,...
