- Joshua is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and 1st generation American, he was selected for ABC's 2022 Annual Showcase for Veterans. Originally from the inner city of Brooklyn, NY and of Puerto Rican/Dominican descent he's bilingual and joined the Marine Corps at 17 years old where he worked as an Aviation Ordnancemen and Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor. His duties included building, assembling, and issuing, 1.1 Class High Explosive aircraft guided missiles, bombs, and rockets. In addition to training Marines in hand-to-hand combat, mentorship, and assigning them their appropriate belt levels.
- His dedication to the Corps earned him the title "Marine of the Year 2016"; received the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal and Meritorious promotion to the Rank of Sergeant.
- Two weeks later, SGT Reyes, Joshua was paralyzed from the waist down after a severe injury in line of duty. Surgeons Informed him he'd never walk again, his military career was over, and needed to reevaluate his life. He was later Assigned to (WWBN) Wounded Warriors Battalion for a year to undergo intense and grueling rehabilitation where he was able to overcome paraplegia by the good grace of God.
-After transitioning into civilian life, he traveled and backpacked throughout various parts of the world where he was inspired by the power of story telling and felt the calling to pursue acting.
- Joshua trained at the Yale University Summer and Atlantic Theatre Company Conservatories, Terry Schreiber Studios under Terry Schreiber, Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, Upright Citizens Brigade, and the New York Film Academy.
