Arundhati plays the mother of southern star Siddharth in the show.

"‘Escaype Live' introduced me to a world that was a complete mystery -- a world of youngsters, apps, fake identities, the whole big world of aspirations and how they try to get there. For me, this is a taste of what the younger generation is thinking of," she said.

On her role, the actress shared: "I play a mother who cares for her child more than anything else which also could be, in a sense, detrimental. Her desire to see her children succeed could be a trigger for many decisions they take. She isn't the villain of the piece. She's doing what her dharma is -- to be the mother.

"'Escaype Live' is one of the most fantastic concepts I've heard. As soon as I heard about it, there were so many other characters I wanted to play," Shweta said.

"One of the biggest reasons for me to get involved is because Abhishek Sengupta is one of my favourite directors, who I've worked with in 'Lakhon Mein Ek' season two. I would want to be a part of every project he does. When he told me about this concept and storyline, I just had to do it. There's a Benaras connection again as I will be shooting there as well. Benaras is special and sacred to me. I'm excited to be back on set as that's my happy place," Said Shweta, who started out with Neeraj Ghaywan's much-feted film "Masaan", which was based in Benaras.

The show's producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary threw a bash Monday for the entire cast and crew of the show.

The party was held on the sets itself.

"It was a blast, we all were just enjoying every moment. This journey has been so memorable and I will forever cherish it," Chandni Bhagwanani, who plays Amita, said in a statement.

"Amita Ka Amit" airs on Sony Entertainment Television and Nishad Vaidya plays the male lead in it.
