Anthony Daniels, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, James Earl Jones, David Prowse, and Kenny Baker in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977)
Harrison Ford Fans Can’t Believe He’s Under Investigation By The Faa
Anthony Daniels, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, James Earl Jones, David Prowse, and Kenny Baker in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977)
Anybody with even a passing interest in Star Wars would be able to tell you that Han Solo in one of the greatest pilots that the galaxy has ever seen, while those that closely follow Harrison Ford‘s career know full well that life most definitely does not imitate art. The veteran actor has found himself in the headlines, and also under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration, after a recent incident at California’s Hawthorne Airport due to a communication error that saw him doing the exact opposite of what the control tower was telling him to do.

It comes at a pretty bad time for the Indiana Jones star, who was in the process of getting his pilot’s license updated and renewed, and it isn’t even the first time he’s had a brush with danger while manning the controls of an aircraft. In 1999, Ford crashed...

‘Apocalypse Pompeii’ Review
Stars: Adrian Paul, Jhey Castles, Georgina Beedle, John Rhys-Davies, Dylan Vox, Dan Cade | Written by Steve Bevilacqua, Jacob Cooney, Bill Hanstock | Directed by Ben Damaree

We all know that those lovely folks over at The Asylum have a reputation for churning out low-budget, cash-ins of whatever the latest franchise or flavour of the month has currently hit the cinemas. From Transformers to The Avengers, you can be count on an Asylum production rearing its ugly head. That’s why I find it a tad confusing that Paul W.S. Anderson’s Pompeii got the Asylum treatment in the form of Ben Damaree’s imaginatively titled Apocalypse Pompeii. Did anyone even care for the original film? If this isn’t going to be the red headed step child, I don’t what is.

Actually, I quite like redheads…

To cut a long story short, the film follows Jeff Pierce (Paul), a successful security firm owner,...

’3-Headed Shark Attack’ Review
Stars: Karrueche Tran, Jason Simmons, Rob Van Dam, Danny Trejo, Jena Sims, Brad Mills, Scott Thomas Reynolds | Written by Jacob Cooney, Bill Hanstock | Directed by Christopher Olen Ray

It seems oh-so-obvious, but would you believe me if I told you that 3-Headed Shark Attack is a sequel to the 2012 film 2-Headed Shark Attack? Well it is. And both films come from Christopher Olen Ray, son of legendary (well at least in my house) B-movie director Fred Olen Ray, and director of the fantastic, and criminally over-looked, action flick Mercenaries. Ray is also one of the best director that purveyors of Syfy channel shlock, The Asylum, currently have on their roster.

Of course your enjoyment of this film depends entirely on whether or not you’re a fan of the un-ironically bad films that The Asylum – and the Syfy channel – have made their stock and trade. For me their films are...
