Exclusive: Lifetime has set six new original films to premiere this fall as part of its “Ripped from the Headlines” movie slate starring Heather Locklear, Ana Ortiz, Lyndsy Fonseca, Jackie Cruz, Sheila E. and Karrueche Tran. The new movies will air on Saturdays at 8 p.m./7 c.

These films join the previously announced movies, Buried Alive and Survived (Sept 21) starring Eva Marcille, and He Slid into Her DMs (Sept 28) with Courtney Thorne Smith.

Hell hath no fury like an overprotective mom in Lifetime Movie Network’s latest thriller, When Mom Becomes a Murderer.

It’s obviously a ridiculous title that initially seems to reveal all of the movie’s cards, which is frustrating considering that the first two acts treats everything as a mystery. Thankfully writers Declan Dineen, Lucy Foster and Victoria Saxton have a few additional surprises up their sleeves.

Unlike many other recent Lifetime films, there’s an earnest straightforwardness to When Mom Becomes A Murderer. The film opens with recent high school graduate Ellie (Matreya Scarrwener) securing the win for her debate team, much to the delight of her principal father Nathan (Roark Critchlow) and high school counsellor mother Marion (Lauren K. Robek).

Almost immediately, however, Ellie’s good girl status is put in question when she locks eyes with a cute boy post-debate and secretly plans to go clubbing...

Hallmark Channel fans can see the reunion between Alison Sweeney and Victor Webster in the new mystery movie, One Bad Apple: A Hannah Swensen Mystery. Fans will recall that the last time we saw the actors together was in The Wedding Veil movies.

According to the official synopsis, Hannah Swensen (Sweeney) has been asked to teach a baking class at a local college.

While planning a wedding for another couple, Erin Krakow‘s character in her latest Hallmark movie may very well find love herself. In The Wedding Cottage, Krakow stars as Vanessa, who holds a contest offering a couple an all-expense paid ceremony to launch her new book, Tying the Knot — A Wedding Guide. The winners (Drew Henderson and Matreya Scarrwener) choose The Wedding Cottage, but there’s one problem: It’s been closed for years, and Evan (Brendan Penny), who inherited it from his grandmother, doesn’t intend to reopen. Vanessa, determined to restore the cottage, charms Evan, and along the way … they just might find out how much the cottage means to them. Krakow previews her film, premiering April 15. Lifetime has set its fall movie lineup with seven young adult-focused films that tackle topics such as mental health, suicide and teen domestic dating violence, with Shannen Doherty, Mira Sorvino, Bella Thorne, Austin P. Mckenzie, Angela Kinsey Jason Patric and Caitlin Stasey among the cast.
