Netflix Is Catching Heat For Adding Titanic To Its Library So Soon After Sub Tragedy
Image
Netflix has found itself in deep trouble after it was revealed that Titanic was one of the titles being added to the streaming platform on July 1 following the news of the Titan submersible tragedy. The movie, directed by deep-sea diving veteran James Cameron, transpires during the 1912 Titanic sinking, where two fictional travelers fall in love aboard the ship. Since the movie's release in 1997, the wreckage's fame has led to many tours of its remains, one of which resulted in a recent tragedy with the Titan submersible.

According to Variety, Netflix has slated Titanic for arrival on its streaming platform on July 1, less than two weeks after the OceanGate Titan incident first came to the public's knowledge on June 18. The implosion of the Titan, which resulted in the tragic death of all five occupants, was confirmed less than four days later, which has led many observers to claim that Netflix is...

Marvel Fans Heckle Lil Uzi Vert After He Implants Vision-Like Pink Diamond in His Forehead
Image
Rapper Lil Uzi Vert is getting blasted on social media by Marvel Cinematic Universe fans for implanting a diamond into his forehead. The rapper admitted that he has been paying for the $24 million pink diamond since 2017, though he did not mention how much it was to have installed into his flesh. It's a pretty weird flex and some MCU fans are worried that someone will pretend to be Thanos and rip it right from his head, just like the Soul Stone from Vision in Infinity War.

Mortal Kombat Fans Are Freaking Out Over Jax's Resemblance to Steve Harvey
Image
Mortal Kombat fans were able to get both the upcoming reboot and Steve Harvey trending on social media today. Obviously, excitement is high for the latest big screen adaptation of the iconic video game, but why is TV personality Harvey trending along with it? As it turns out, actor Mehcad Brooks, who plays Major Jackson "Jax" Briggs in the movie, looks an awful lot like Harvey in one of the recently released Motral Kombat first-look images, and people on social media are freaking out about it.

Unfortunately, some of Mehcad Brooks' Mortal Kombat thunder has been stolen by Steve Harvey. Twitter is on fire with people realizing the resemblance and posting side by side images from the movie with Harvey. One fan says, "You couldn't tell me that Jax Briggs here doesn't look like Steve Harvey with a straight face... Also, I didn't know there was Mortal Kombat movie coming this year.

The Internet Reacts To Will Smith’s Blue Genie In Aladdin
When the first official images of Will Smith as the Genie in Disney’s live-action Aladdin remake made their way online back in December, many fans were upset to see that the actor didn’t have blue skin, prompting Smith himself to take to social media to clarify that his character will still be blue in the actual movie.

Sure enough, the new trailer for Guy Ritchie’s film finally shows us the fully CGI’d version of the Genie, complete with his unnatural skin tone, and wouldn’t you know it, the internet is more skeptical than ever, with the Twitter response suggesting a mixture of disappointment and terror:

so a new trailer for #Aladdin premiered during the #Grammys and it showed Will Smith’s Genie and… i don’t know chief pic.twitter.com/za045I6RVU
