Filmmaker and comic book lover Kevin Smith is stoked after seeing the new trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage. A direct sequel to the 2018 hit that brings back Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock, the official trailer was released for Venom 2 this week. With the release of the Venom: Let there Be Carnage trailer, fans are finally getting their first look at the highly anticipated arrival of the evil symbiote Carnage. The villain shares a host body with Cletus Kasady, a sociopathic serial killer played by Woody Harrelson. Kasady was first teased in the end credits scene in the original Venom movie. This time around, Harrelson's character no longer has wild, curly red hair, but appears with a much more dapper haircut, and not encased in a straitjacket. According to Andy Serkis, the director of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Kasady has been through some dark changes since the original movie, hence his new look.
"We wanted to give a sense that he's been in there for some time and that he's gone through various changes. ... so that we could really [see] what's going on with the darkness of the character."

Fans have spotted a Stan Lee appearance in the official Venom: Let There Be Carnage trailer. For many years, Lee was known to make special cameo appearances in nearly every Marvel movie to be made. In the original Venom, Lee was a dog-walker who has a brief interaction with Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy). Sadly, as Lee died just weeks after Venom was released in theaters, he wasn't able to physically appear in Venom 2.
Lee might be gone, but that doesn't mean filmmakers aren't continuing the tradition of working the late Marvel creator into big release movies. These posthumous cameo appearances are typically saved as surprises to be found in the movie, but many fans have noticed Lee's presence in the Venom 2 trailer. The moment comes when Eddie Brock is moving his way through the store, moving past a selection of magazines to his right - and the one...

Sony Pictures has released the official trailer for the upcoming sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage. One of the year's most anticipated releases, the movie brings back Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom with Woody Harrelson entering the fray as Cletus Kasady, aka the supervillain Carnage. Watching the two interact on the big screen is going to be insane, and that's clear from the new trailer alone, which you can watch below.
While we're only given a small peek at Carnage in the trailer, there's plenty here for fans to be excited about. Carnage's introduction was teased in the original Venom movie's mid-credit scene with Eddie Brock interviewing Cletus Kasady, an incarcerated serial killer who promises to create "carnage" when he escapes. The moment marked the popular comic book villain's debut in a live-action Marvel movie.
Along with Hardy and Harrelson, Venom: Let There Be Carnage also stars Michelle Williams and Reid Scott,...
