Devin Whitman

Devin Alexis Whitman was born and raised in the city of glitter and
grime; sometimes her friend, sometimes a waste of rotting time.
In her short, cosmically celestial twenty one years on Earth, Devin has traveled Nation-wide honing her skills and mastering the art of glamour and morbid theatrics rolled into one to create the perfect strand of Beauty and FX Makeup DNA.
Attaining a major in Film and Television Artistry from Makeup Designory Soho in New York City, Devin has also toiled in the study of Esthetics from the Tricoci University of Beauty Culture Chicago.
Devin's work ranges from Natural Beauty Application, Basic Men's Makeup Application, Time Period Makeup, Pinup, Glamour, Fashion, Avant Garde Makeup Applications, including Airbrush, Tattoo Coverage and False Eyelash Application.
Devin's work also includes Special Effects, ranging from Character Development, Laying Hair, Old Age Makeup Application, Injuries, Wounds, Burns, as well as Sculpting, Molding and applying various forms of Latex and Silicone Prosthetics, and Basic Lifecasting.
Devin's extensive background in art starting as a child includes a Major in Comics and Animation from Art and Design Highschool, a scholarship in Sculpting to Cooper Union in New York City, her own Facepainting Business and Tattooing.
Besides Art, Devin has also worked for various music venues in New York City doing Promotions, writing Press Kits, helping with Graphics, Website and Venue Management; including interning at The Knitting Factory NY as well as Buzz Publicity NY.
She currently interns for Gothic Horror Movie Magazine, Diabolique where she helps manage the website horrorunlimited.com and writes an occasional Art Column. Devin is also a part of Emerging Artist Connect, in which she presents Art, Body Paint Models and writes Makeup articles for their website eacmix.com.
With a diverse infusion of collected experience, Devin Alexis Whitman contributes a unique, dynamic and multi tonal vision to every endeavor she sets her mind too. Especially when it comes to her ultimate passions: Makeup and Special Effects.
