This post contains spoilers from Dark Winds season 3 episode 8, “Béésh Lii” (Iron Horse).
The season finale of Dark Winds wastes no time catching up with the fraud Dr. Reynolds (John Diehl). Teddi Issacs (Carly Roland) was on the cusp of gathering her belongings and getting away, but Reynolds appeared in the nick of time with a proposal from a friend to bankroll another dig site for them. By this time, of course, Teddi no longer trusts him. Not only is he a crooked researcher, he’s a self-made murderer. Try as she might to render herself free from the man, he overpowers her even with his aged strength. In a flash Teddi’s head is brutally bashed against the hotel room table, instantly killing her.
Gordo (A. Martinez) and Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon) find the blood-riddled vehicle of Dr. Reynolds. And much to their surprise, they find Teddi Issacs dead in the trunk.

The investigation took some wickedly smooth turns in this week’s episode of Dark Winds. So much so that it might even look like they’re defying a bunch of odds. But while it’s understandable that a Native American reservation didn’t have a whole lot of resources to fight crime and criminals, especially back in the 70s, it’s also true that criminals had fewer ways to make a run for it. Running away from your deeds wasn’t very easy in the ruthless terrain of the rez.
Spoiler Alert
Does Leaphorn catch Halsey?
Halsey thought he’d tied up all the loose ends before abandoning the farmstead and fleeing. He’d done the best he could’ve. He’d jammed a needle into Suzanne’s arm and gotten everyone else out. And when it was time for him to run, he took the red pickup truck with him.

Episode 2 of Dark Winds left off with Shorty Bowlegs being attacked by the monster. The monster that Joe Leaphorn thought was his has now left him with deep scratches on his arm. It was at that point he realized the monster was real. It’s gone way deeper than his fear that his life was left unbalanced after killing Bj Vines.
There’s a new monster at play and it’s already taken the life of Ernesto Cata. And if they don’t hurry up and find George Bowlegs another life could be taken from the Navajo Nation far too soon. Here's what happens in Dark Winds season 3 episode 3, Ch'į́į́dii (Ghosts)." Spoilers Below.

The episode picks up with Chee and Leaphorn coming across a chili farm. There are major cult and hippie vibes in the air. It’s not a shock for this time period but something...

Dark Winds has returned to AMC+ with a strong debut for Season 3.
Per AMC, the third season’s premiere episode attracted 2.2M viewers in the first three days of availability, which is up more than 50% in viewership over the Season 2 premiere.
The latest season has also doubled subscriber acquisition compared to the previous season, indicating a strong growth trajectory and bodes well for the already renewed series as Season 4 begins filming this month.
“We are so proud of this series, and so thankful for the response from fans and critics to the storytelling, the performances and the authenticity that comes through in every frame,” Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks, said in a statement. “We knew Dark Winds had all the ingredients to become another important franchise for AMC and AMC+, but for Season 3 to attract more than 2.2 million premiere night viewers and again receive...

Fox News will not have to face a lawsuit brought by a former associate producer who accused the network of ignoring the risk that she’d be raped by former White House chief correspondent Ed Henry.
U.S. District Judge Ronnie Abrams on Wednesday dismissed sexual assault, sex trafficking, revenge porn, harassment and retaliation claims from Jennifer Eckhart against the network while allowing the majority of her case against Henry to proceed to trial.
In a statement, a lawyer for Eckhart said the ruling will be appealed. “We look forward to holding Mr. Henry accountable before a jury,” the statement added.
The lawsuit, filed in 2020 in New York federal court, involved allegations that Eckhart endured years of sexual harassment from Henry that culminated in him violently raping her in a hotel room. The alleged incident followed Henry coercing her into a sexual relationship by threatening her career and him assaulting...

Updated with comment from Eckhart and Fox: A federal judge dismissed Fox News from a sexual assault lawsuit that a former employee filed against former anchor Ed Henry.
U.S. District Judge Ronnie Abrams rejected Jennifer Eckhart’s retaliation and other claims. Eckhart, a former associate producer for the network, alleged that Henry sexually harassed and raped her.
“Fox News did not have actual notice of Henry’s alleged misconduct towards her until she first reported it to the network through her counsel on June 25, 2020 — three years after their last sexual encounter,” the judge wrote in his dismissal. “Once the network finally learned of his behavior, its response was the opposite of forgiveness: it swiftly investigated and terminated him just six days later.”
Henry, who now works at Newsmax, has claimed that the sexual relations with Eckhart were consensual.

A federal judge dismissed claims made against Fox News Channel in a lurid sexual-assault case that involved a former associate producer and a former correspondent, noting that management of the cable-news outlet had no knowledge of any conflict or relationship between the two parties until it was notified she had levied sexual harassment claims against him.
Fox News last year filed a request for summary judgment in the case, in which the former producer, Jennifer Eckhart, alleged she was raped by Ed Henry, a former Fox News correspondent who was dismissed from the Fox Corp.-backed outlet in 2020 following an investigation into a complaint about “willful sexual misconduct in the workplace.” Eckhart’s lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in the Southern District of New York in July 2020. A lawyer for Henry has in the past claimed Eckhart “initiated and completely encouraged a consensual relationship.” Fox News terminated...

Hello, Dark Winds season 3, and Hello David Bowie! Episode 1, "Ye’iitsoh," on AMC starts similar to last season in a flash forward where we see Joe Leaphorn in another life-and-death predicament. Joe is lying on the ground in a countdown as Space Odyssey plays in the background. He wakes up in a gasp with an arrow in his neck.
It’s unclear if this arrow is laced with something, or punctured Leaphorn in a weak spot. After he pulls the arrow out he calls back at the station to Natalie, but the reception is going in and out. “It’s not enough, send everyone. Now.” Joe exclaims over the radio. Spoilers Ahead.

There will be more Dark Winds on AMC.
The network has renewed the thriller for a fourth season. The news comes ahead of the premiere of its third season on March 9.
Season 4 of the series, which stars Zahn McClarnon, will begin filming in Santa Fe, Nm, in March and will air in 2026.
Much like Season 3, it will consist of eight episodes. Seasons 1 and 2 had six episodes each.
The news is not a huge surprise given the boost that Dark Winds seems to have gotten from its airing on Netflix. The first two seasons of the show are currently on the streamer and after they dropped in August, they remained in Netflix’s top 10 for over three weeks. Dark Winds also aired on Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max as part of a two-month pop-up in 2023.
Season four will also feature the directorial debut of star and exec producer McClarnon.

Fox News and Jennifer Eckhart, a former associate producer for Fox Business Network, could be headed to court in a lurid case that has been making its way through legal channels for the past four years.
Fox News on Monday night filed a request for summary judgment in the case, in which Eckhart has alleged she was raped by Ed Henry, a former Fox News correspondent who was dismissed from the Fox Corp.-backed outlet in 2020 following an investigation into a complaint about “willful sexual misconduct in the workplace.” Eckhart’s lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in the Southern District of New York in July of 2020. A lawyer for Henry has in the past claimed Eckhart “initiated and completely encouraged a consensual relationship.” Fox News terminated Eckhart in 2020 prior to her making the allegations tied to Henry.

Former Fox News and Fox Business Network commentator Melissa Francis learned she had been fired in October 2020 after reading “you’ve been canceled” on her Teleprompter moments before her show was to go live, she told Megyn Kelly on Friday.
Francis, who was working from a studio the network had set up at her house during the Covid lockdown, was preparing to do an upcoming newscast when she read on the Teleprompter that she wasn’t needed anymore, she said on the SiriusXM radio program, “The Megyn Kelly Show.”
At the time, she was a co-host of one of Fox’s biggest daytime shows, “Outnumbered,” and had been negotiating for a raise to match the salaries of her male counterparts.

Judge Andrew Napolitano, a legal contributor for Fox News, is no longer employed by the network following allegations of sexual harassment.
In a complaint filed on Monday, a 27-year-old Fox News associate producer alleged that Napolitano has “sexually harassed numerous young male employees during his tenure at Fox News.” The plaintiff, whose name is John Fawcett, claims that he reported Napolitano’s misconduct to Fox News’ human resources department but they did not take any immediate action against him.
In a statement to Variety, Fox News said that upon learning of the allegations, the network “immediately investigated the claims and addressed the matter with both parties.” Napolitano has not appeared on air at Fox News for several months.

Ed Henry, a former Fox News host who was fired last summer for sexual misconduct, sued the network and Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott for defamation on Wednesday.
On Thursday he filed similar defamation suits against CNN and NPR personalities. Henry’s wife, Shirley Henry, is an editor at NPR.
The complaint says that after Henry’s 2019 promotion to “America’s Newsroom” co-host, “Scott and Fox News turned against Plaintiff and abruptly fired him, publicly humiliating him in the process.” The suit claims Scott knew a rape accusation was coming from a former Fox Business staffer with whom Henry said he had a consensual affair, though the complaint called the accusation “false.”
“Regrettably, Ms. Scott sandbagged Plaintiff with her statement, lending credence to the false allegations because she was trying to save her own career and burnish her image as a tough, no nonsense female executive who cleaned up Fox News,...

The Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund is supporting a sexual harassment lawsuit filed against Fox News and several of its anchors, including Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity.
The organization — which was founded in the wake of the #MeToo movement — is providing PR support to Cathy Areu, a former unpaid Fox News contributor who alleges she faced a “barrage of sexual harassment” at the network.
Fox News has pushed back aggressively on Areu’s claims, releasing messages that appeared to contradict her initial account and threatening to seek legal sanctions if her allegations were not withdrawn.
Areu and Jennifer Eckhart, a former associate producer at the network, filed suit on July 20 in federal court in New York.
Eckhart alleged that Ed Henry, the veteran correspondent and anchor at the network, had violently raped her at a hotel room in 2017. She also accused Henry of psychologically manipulating her and asking her to be his “sex slave.

“I remember four years ago, back in 2016, when you interviewed me about things that went on with Roger Ailes and you asked me then, ‘God, is Fox just rotten to the core?’ and I said something like, ‘No, it’s not rotten to the core. There are good people there just trying to do their jobs.’ I’d like to amend my answer now if I may,” she said.

“I remember four years ago, back in 2016, when you interviewed me about things that went on with Roger Ailes and you asked me then, ‘God, is Fox just rotten to the core?’ and I said something like, ‘No, it’s not rotten to the core. Feminist group UltraViolet has called for an independent investigation into the sexual harassment accusations against Fox News hosts Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Howard Kurtz and contributor Gianno Caldwell that were detailed in a lawsuit on Monday.
“The allegations that Fox News’ Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity also took part in and fostered this toxic culture is hardly surprising. Fox News may deny these allegations, but we’ve seen the network lie time and time again, provide cover, and even take major losses to subsidize predators and propagandists,” Shaunna Thomas, the co-founder and executive director of UltraViolet, said. “Only a transparent, independent investigation into Carlson, Hannity, Kurtz and Caldwell that is made public can be trusted.”
Thomas also said the lawsuit’s revelations about former host Ed Henry, who was accused of raping a then-production assistant at the network and was fired earlier this month, were “nothing short of horrifying” and...
