Would I Lie To You’s Funniest Lies And Truths
Image
There are few bad days that can’t be remedied by watching an episode of Would I Lie To You?

This award-winning BBC panel show has been making us laugh for over 15 years thanks to hilarious repeat performances from the likes of Bob Mortimer and Rhod Gilbert, and the top-tier chemistry between team captains Lee Mack and David Mitchell and host Rob Brydon.

It’s created so many legendary funny moments that picking a favourite is almost impossible, but here are the Would I Lie To You? stories that have gone down in TV history:

16. Henning Wehn Goes Missing in Morocco

Henning Wehn appears to have gone to the Kevin Bridges School of Storytelling (more on that later) – his yarns have a similarly scatter-brained approach that are pleasingly impossible to predict. Here he claims Interpol listed him as a missing person when he went on a bike ride in Spain...

Ed Sheeran and Elton John Pay Tribute to Christmas Classics in Their "Merry Christmas" Video
Image
Feeling festive? No? Well, allow Elton John and Ed Sheeran to change that with the their newly released Christmas single. The song is simply titled "Merry Christmas"; however, it's anything but simple as the video takes us through a journey of reinventing Christmas classics.

The video opens with John and Sheeran wearing matching festive Gucci tracksuits (the first of many epic coordinating outfits), singing by the piano and an open fire. It continues with Sheeran flying with The Snowman and a snowy nod to Wham's "Last Christmas". But best of all, the video features a reenactment of East 17's "Stay Another Day" with special guests Michael McIntyre, Jonathan Ross, and Big Narstie - yes, really. The special Christmas classics don't end there either, but you're just going to have to watch and enjoy it for yourself.

Sheeran first announced the Christmas duet back in October, when he appeared on a Dutch talk show.

What to Watch to Celebrate New Year’s Eve From Home
Image
This year came packed to the brim with surprises, both good and bad. From a pandemic to randomly appearing monoliths to two albums from Taylor Swift, 2020 has kept people on their toes.

And it’s finally coming to an end. Rather than celebrate the closing of this year at grand, in-person parties or festivals, streamers and linear television networks are offering safe at-home alternatives on Dec. 31. Why go out when you can ring in the new year from your living room, anyways?

“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2021” has enlisted Jennifer Lopez to perform as the headliner this year. The show will also feature more performances and celebrate the music that came out of 2020.

YouTube is offering five separate celebration events on its platform this year, catering each one to a specific region or country. Covering the Americas, the U.K., Korea, Japan and India,...

Review: The Spark by Enter Shikari
At first I was a bit hesitant to return to reviews with a band which I have written pages and pages on before but The Spark by the St Albans band Enter Shikari isn’t something one can simply ignore.

Since the release of Live Outside and Supercharge (ft. Big Narstie) I was a bit taken aback with the new direction the band were heading down. In a bit of a conflict with one of my previous articles (where I pretty much Slated Fall Out Boy’s new sound) I found Shikari’s new sound to grow on me, quite a lot actually. Heavier isn’t always better and The Spark proves this very well.

Singer Rou Reynolds has previously been very open about the struggles he was going through before and during the writing process of the album. In an interview with Buzzmag, Rou said: “The weirdest thing was...

The Den of Geek Christmas 2017 UK TV and radio guide
Louisa Mellor Dec 13, 2017

We’ve taken a highlighter to this year’s Christmas and New Year TV schedules and circled what we’ll be watching this festive season…

Amid the cosy repeats and cranberry-stuffed cookery shows on TV over the next few weeks are a few gems. There’s no Sherlock or Charlie Brooker’s TV Wipe this year, but there are plenty of treats, not least the return of The League Of Gentlemen for a three-part anniversary series and Peter Capaldi’s last hurrah in the Tardis in the Doctor Who Christmas episode.

Over on Netflix, six new episodes of Black Mirror are coming to usher in the New Year, two days into which we welcome the return of Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton’s genius anthology Inside No. 9.

Craig David Covers Justin Bieber’s ‘Love Yourself,’ and It’s Obviously Good
Craig David
Today Craig David and rapper Big Narstie went on BBC Radio 1 to perform an acoustic version of Craig's new track, “When the Bassline Drops,” and then Craig did something else super rad: He covered Justin Bieber's current hit "Love Yourself." It's a smooth, fast, garage-style version, with some freestyle thingies in the middle there. Whatever, just listen to it. No response from Bieber yet, but he'd have to be a goof not to love Craig David. (He did sample him once.) His mom even likes Craig David! (We're guessing. Because his mama likes everyone.)...
