The 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards took over the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Saturday. The annual slime-filled celebration, hosted by singer Tyla and featuring performances by Machine Gun Kelly and Katseye, included appearances by Jack Black, Auliʻi Cravalho, Benny Blanco, Terry Crews, Ice Spice, and Sza.

Exclusive: Indie producer Pressman Film has expanded the role of chief operating officer Paula Paizes to include oversight of all production.

The company behind Wall Street. American Psycho, Badlands, Thank You for Smoking and The Crow, founded by the late legendary producer Edward Pressman and run by CEO Sam Pressman, also upped Max Loeb to VP, Production and Development.

Pressman Film is also expanding development and production efforts into Canada, Latin America and Asia, with several consultants. Toronto-based Bianca Rusu, who most recently worked as an agent at Vanguarde Artists Management, will serve as a creative and development consultant for Pressman Film in Canada.

Just like in 2024, Chugong and A-1 Pictures’ Solo Leveling is once again ruling the anime industry with a banger season that has already become a fan-favorite anime with just two episodes under its belt. The series was already awaited by fans, and it has managed to live up to the expectations, which is only going to grow from here on.

While the success of Solo Leveling was inevitable, there were a lot of aspects that contributed to it and helped the series in a major way. However, the one aspect that is the most underrated is the opening theme song of the series.

The opening theme of Solo Leveling Season 2 is called “ReawakeR” by LiSA featuring Felix of Stray Kids.

Taylor Swift topped the 2024 Billboard Music Awards on Thursday night, scooping up 10 awards, the most of the night, and making history by bringing her career Bbma wins total to 49.

Swift went into the night with 17 nominations. Zach Bryan, who led the nominations list with 21 nods, won five awards.

The 2024 Billboard Music Awards aired live on Fox and Amazon’s Fire TV channels and on demand on Paramount+.

Michelle Buteau hosted the awards show.

The show aired on Thursday (December 12) as a partially pre-taped and partially live event, featuring performances that happened around the world while artists were on tour.

This year, the most nominations went to Zach Bryan, who is a finalist in 18 categories with 21 total entries in the finalists list. Taylor Swift received 17 total nominations this year, coming in at second. Morgan Wallen landed in third with 15 nods.

Not all of the categories were presented on TV, but we can tell you who won in every category.

They will air on Fox, Fire TV Channels, and Paramount+ at 8:00pm Eastern and Pacific, with additional performances set to stream on Billboard.com and across BBMAs and Billboard social media platforms. Deadpool & Wolverine is in theaters now, and the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman film is poised to do big numbers at the box office. Aside from some buzzed-about cameos and even a Taylor Swift endorsement, the Marvel flick is also making waves for its star-studded soundtrack, which features a new track from Stray Kids, plus throwback tunes from ‘NSync, Fergie and even Jackman himself.

Marvel Entertainment released the tracklist for Deadpool & Wolverine‘s soundtrack Wednesday, including a feature that has been years in the making.

Stray Kids, the eight-member K-pop supergroup, will contribute a seemingly new song titled “Slash” to the soundtrack. The boy group, hailing from Korean company Jyp Entertainment, have a lengthy history with Deadpool and Ryan Reynolds himself.

In 2021, Stray Kids competed, and eventually placed first, in the Korean music reality show Kingdom: Legendary War. For the show’s eighth episode, the boy group performed a wildly entertaining mashup of their hit song “God’s Menu” and Blackpink’s “Ddu-du Ddu-du.” Clearly paying homage to Deadpool, Stray Kids member Felix kicks off the performance dressed as Reynolds’ character, offering a cheeky opening monologue reminiscent of something out of the film.

Fans of the K-Pop group shared clips with Reynolds, who eventually commented, “Oh hello @stray_kids,” starting a mutual admiration between the group and the actor.

Constructing a soundtrack album is a gentle -- and perhaps lost -- art. This author is old enough to remember the 1990s heyday of movie soundtracks, when film producers would regularly license charting pop hits, obscure deep cuts, upcoming rappers, and underappreciated indie bands to construct carefully curated and meticulously produced albums that lived happily in your friends' cars all summer. As the music industry collapsed in the early 2000s, however, soundtrack records fell out of favor. Movie songs became mere playlists, neither arranged on a CD in any cogent order nor lending themselves toward a general thematic thrust. We '90s teens can now whine (as is our wont) that soundtrack albums are, in the '20s, rarely more than "pile of neat songs.

Demi Lovato, Måneskin and Stray Kids have all appeared on the MTV stage before. In fact, Måneskin took home Best Alternative last year, and Stray Kids were nominated for Best K-Pop. As for Karol G, this will mark her first-ever appearance on the stage.

This year, Taylor Swift is leading the nominations pack with a total of eight nods, including Video of the Year, Song of the Year and Artist of the Year. She’s followed closely by Sza with six nominations, which include both Video of the Year and Song of the Year. Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo and Sam Smith all have five nominations each.

A feature doc about the journeys of the Ukrainian Got Talent acts is in the works at local broadcaster Stb and Fremantle.

Simon Cowell will contribute to the Power of Talent, which Fremantle said is the first time the smash format that it owns has been the backdrop of a documentary.

Power of Talent will follow a number of Ukrainian acts, spotlighting their journeys as they take to various Got Talent stages around the world and raise money. Light Balance Kids, Natasha Korotkina and Artem Fesko will all be spotlighted along with judge Serhiy Prytula, whose volunteer efforts have raised more than $120M in aid of Ukraine.
