Netflix is rebooting the classic series Little House on the Prairie, which first ran from 1974 to 1983, and per Deadline, seven more actors have just been added to the cast of the revival series. Among those cast in recurring roles in Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie is Barrett Doss, who starred in ABC’s Station 19 from 2018 to 2024.

Additionally, Mary Holland,Michael Hough,Kowen Cadorath (SkyMed),Thosh Collins,Maclean Fish (Shoresy),and Rebecca Amzallag (Titans)were also cast in recurring roles in the new series.

Doss is set to play Emily Henderson, whose people and number skills land her a job running the General Store. She also takes in an orphan boy named Caleb, who wanders into town. Caleb will be played by Cadorath and is described as a “skinny, prairie handsome pre-teen who has been orphaned and doesn’t say much.

A little over a year after ABC’s Station 19, created by Stacy McKee, aired its final episode, one of its main stars has landed her first small-screen role since then. Barrett Doss is that star, and she has been tapped to appear in the upcoming Little House on the Prairie reboot from Netflix. Set in Seattle, Station 19 is the second spin-off of Grey's Anatomy, after Private Practice, and focuses on the lives of the heroic men and women at Seattle Fire Station 19. The procedural ran from March 22, 2018, to May 30, 2024, comprising seven seasons and 105 episodes.

Netflix wants to get lost in a classic sci-fi adventure series from the 1970s. The streamer has closed a deal with Legendary Television for a new Land of the Lost remake.

According to Deadline, the show's original creators, Sid and Marty Krofft, as well as the latter's daughter, Deanna Krofft Pope, will produce the remake, which is in very early stages at Netflix and Legendary. A writer is currently being sought to script the series, which is once again expected to follow the Marshall family as they accidentally go through a portal and find themselves trapped in a world inhabited by dinosaurs, primate-like people named Pakuni, and reptilian humanoids called Sleestak.

The original Land of the Lost ran for three seasons and 43 episodes on NBC from September 1974 to December 1976. Despite its relatively short run, Land of the Lost became a cult classic, leading to a short-lived reboot on ABC in the early 1990s.

Netflix’s Little House on the Prairie is moving quickly to fill out its core cast.

On the heels of announcing Alice Halsey will play Laura Ingalls in the series, the streamer has cast Luke Bracey, Crosby Fitzgerald and Skywalker Hughes as other members of the Ingalls family.

Bracey (Elvis, Little Fires Everywhere) will play Charles Ingalls, the family’s patriarch. Fitzgerald (Palm Royale) is set to play Caroline, Charles’ wife and the mother of older daughter Mary, who will be played by Skywalker Hughes (Joe Pickett), and Laura.

CBS Studios and Anonymous Content Studio are producing Little House, which is based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s semi-autobiographical novels. The books previously formed the basis for a 1974-83 series that starred Melissa Gilbert as Laura, Michael Landon as Charles, Karen Grassle as Caroline and Melissa Sue Anderson as Mary. Netflix’s “Little House on the Prairie” series has found its Laura in Alice Halsey.

Halsey, who has previously appeared in “Lessons in Chemistry,” “Days of Our Lives” and “Night Court,” will star as Laura Ingalls Wilder, who wrote the semi-autobiographical “Little House” books, and serve as the audiences window into life on the frontier.

Additionally, Luke Bracey (“Elvis”) and Crosby Fitzgerald (“Palm Royale”) have been cast as Charles and Caroline Ingalls, respectively, while Skywalker Hughes (“Joe Pickett”) joins the cast as Mary Ingalls.

Laura is described as a “disruptor” who is “observant, tender, strong-willed, hot-tempered,” and resists the bounds of 19th century ladylike behavior, according to the official character description.

Exclusive: Rebecca Wisocky (Ghosts), Joe Lanza (The Americans) and Crosby Fitzgerald (Palm Royale) are set for key recurring roles opposite Grace Van Patten and Sharon Horgan in Hulu‘s Amanda Knox limited series.

Amanda is based on the true story of how Amanda Knox was wrongfully convicted for the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher and her 16-year odyssey to set herself free.

Wisocky will play Cecilia, an American in prison who moves into Amanda’s (Van Patten) cell to take care of her. Lanza portrays Chris Mellas, Amanda’s stepdad who found love later in life with Edda (Horgan) and is a strong presence in Amanda’s life.

Fitzgerald will play Madison, Amanda’s best friend who always speaks her mind.

The web series featured in this week's Indie Spotlight seeks to enlighten its viewers as it entertains them. Its called Educated Fleas, and its focus is sex positivity -- which leaves room for both lewd jokes and teachable moments.

The protagonist of Educated Fleas is Ruth, portrayed by Crosby Fitzgerald. As we learn in the show, one of Ruth's strongest talents is her ability to say the word "testicles" without cracking up, which leads her to a unique job opportunity. In each episode she delivers a version of the "birds and the bees" talk to a youngster while also sorting out her own personal life. "Ruth has a complicated relationship with sex and love while also being an advocate for sexual empowerment," said Fitzgerald in a press release. "I think a lot of people can relate to having that complex dichotomy of thought."
