Shabnam Mogharabi is a writer, producer, storyteller, and journalist. As an SVP at Participant Media and, prior to that, CEO of SoulPancake, she developed, executive produced, produced, and sold TV series, short-form digital content, short films, and podcasts for and to MTV, ABC, OWN, The CW, Comedy Central, Amazon Prime, Pivot, Quibi, YouTube Originals, and Luminary. Talent partners for various projects included Kevin Hart, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith, Rainn Wilson, Ke$ha, Kelly Ripa, Sarah Silverman, Justin Baldoni, Alysia Reiner, Deepak Chopra, and Josh Radnor. She now runs the boutique consulting, development, and producing outfit The Joy Brigade.
Shabnam's work has amassed millions of views and won multiple awards, including a Daytime Emmy Award for the "SoulPancake on OWN" series that she co-wrote and produced for OWN. She is a New York Times bestselling author and ghostwriter of several other bestselling books. Prior to entertainment, Shabnam was a journalist and magazine editor and winner of the James Beard Award (the Pulitzer Prize for B2B journalism). She studied journalism at the University of Southern California and received a master's from Northwestern University in media management.
