Filmmaker Connor Rickman, who had plenty of short films under his belt, had trouble funding a feature.

Instead of waiting around, he gathered 15,000 to self-fund The Whole Lot, a surprisingly rich drama featuring three characters, a barn, and a lot of classic cars.

As you begin watching The Whole Lot, you'll get a sense of the film's direction that soon begins to falter as Rickman upends any expectations you had for something much deeper.

With a screenplay written by Matthew Ivan Bennett, Rickman takes three characters on a thrilling journey after two of them suffer the loss of their father.

King's Gambit is a fantasy drama from the mind of Joseph Sayer. Sayer wrote and produced this feature, which follows a Herald and his mystical journal. His notebook has the ability to change global events and this power brings a legion of adversaries.

King's Gambit will release in theatres and in home theatres this April 3rd, 2020.

King's Gambit hosts a large cast including Blake Webb of "American Horror Story" fame stars as Bryce, the Herald. Rebecca Galaraza (The Investigator) also stars as Ashley, along with Reggie Peters (HazMat) and Wade Hunt Williams.

Indican Pictures will show King' Gambit in early April. This title is expected to see a limited screening on April 3rd. This initial release will be followed by another on Digital and DVD.

Lonely slacker Jonathan is stuck working night shifts at a convenience store. When he goes on a blind date with a strange woman, his world suddenly begins to unravel in horrifying fashion. His friends and family believe he’s losing his mind, but he believes he’s the target of a sinister occult plot.

The Black String comes from director Brian Hanson, who also co-wrote the film with Richard Handley – who also stars in the film as Dr. Ronaldi. For both this is their first feature, with Handley having penned some shorts previously. However in the case of Hanson is his first film period.

It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen Malcom in the Middle star Frankie Muniz star in anything, but he’s got a horror movie coming out called The Black String and we have a trailer to share with you for it!

May 2017 is going to give genre fans plenty of reasons to stay home this month, as we have a lot of cool titles to look forward to. The month kicks off with Even Lambs Have Teeth on May 2nd, and just a few days later, Take Me (the latest from Pat Healy) and the horror comedy Another Evil make their digital debuts. From director Michael Shumway, a composer turned filmmaker, the story follows a man named David who leaves on a business trip to give his wife much-needed space, when the invasion lands. He fights to return home to find whatever is left. The cast includes Blake Webb, Tatum Langton, Jaclyn Hales, and Keith Hottinger. One review from IMDb says the film less about aliens and more about a "down to earth issue which is 'alienation' in erotic relationships." The footage doesn't do much to make me interested, as it seems fairly forgettable, but I can't help be curious about sci-fi.
