- Gavin started experimenting with layering and mixing sounds on an analog Tascam 4-track Portastudio cassette recorder in 1994. For the following decade he took every opportunity to collaborate with musicians and artists in both studio and live performance settings until forming his own production company in 2006. He then began producing content for film, music and theater while perfecting his sound design techniques. He is the sole founder of PhilaMOCA in Philadelphia, a multipurpose art and performance space, which still hosts over 300 shows per year. In 2011 Gavin moved to New York City and began producing theater with PS 122 (now performance space NY). His experience in New York City allowed him to work independently as a sound designer and producer for theater and film while fostering a diverse network of industry professionals. In 2012, while working with the downtown theater company Mabou Mines, Gavin was introduced to renowned Foley Artist, Jay Peck who became his mentor as his career turned toward creating Foley sounds. Now living in Beacon, NY, Gavin has been recording and editing post production audio as a sound engineer and Foley artist for film and TV audiences worldwide. He holds over 100 screen credits on successful productions such as Joel Coen's film adaptation of Macbeth, Showtimes' Billions, and Disney's Noelle. In 2021 he established Prophecy Hall, a historic church converted to performance space in Beacon NY, and serves as it's director. Gavin holds a B.S. degree from Penn State University and attended a master's program at University of Pennsylvania.- IMDb mini biography by: Prophecy Hall
