October is now officially underway, and these next several weeks are going to be absolutely jam-packed with fresh horrors. As always, we want to make sure you don’t miss a beat.

This week’s new releases include the return of an iconic horror franchise and the sequel to a recent cult classic, and that’s just the tip of this particularly bloody iceberg.

Here’s all the new horror arriving October 4 – October 9, 2022!

We kick off the week with brand new animated movie Trick or Treat, Scooby-Doo!, which was released on Digital today ahead of the DVD release on October 18th.

"How many of you are there!?" Well Go USA has debuted an official trailer for an indie horror feature titled They Crawl Beneath, which will be out on VOD directly in the start of October. This practical effects-driven creature feature, reminiscent of the fun horror films of the 1950s, hasn't played at any festivals but still looks worth watching. If you dig creature features, give this a look. After an earthquake leaves Danny trapped and alone, his claustrophobic nightmare only gets worse when something truly horrifying emerges from the fissures in the ground, forcing him to engage in a brutal fight for his life—and his sanity. Joseph Almani stars, with Michael Pare, Arthur Roberts, Merrick McCartha, Karlee Eldridge, Elena Sahagun, and Natalia Bilbao. This looks like a distant cousin of Tremors, with practical monsters that emerge from the ground with giant teeth hungry to eat tasty humans. Might be a fun!

The creature has been revealed from the practical effects-driven sci-fi creature feature They Crawl Beneath, in which a young police officer trapped under a car after an earthquake has unleashed a fearsome monster.

“Young police officer Danny (Joseph Almani) is working on an antique car at his uncle’s remote ranch when a major earthquake hits, pinning him under the vehicle and leaving him bloodied, alone, and with no way to call for help. Just when he thinks the claustrophobic nightmare can’t get any worse, something truly horrifying emerges from the fissures in the ground, forcing Danny to engage in a brutal fight for his life—and his sanity.”

Reed's Point: "Reed's Point is psychological-thriller/creature-feature that tells of Sarah and Alex, two survivors of an Rv crash near the New Jersey Pine Barrens. On the anniversary of the accident, Sarah and Alex drive to Reed’s Point to investigate the crash site. Things go downhill quickly as they find themselves stuck in the woods unsure of who they can trust and questioning if monsters really do exist.

Exclusive: Film Mode Entertainment has sold North American rights to horror-thriller They Crawl Beneath to Well Go USA.

Starring are Michael Pare (The Lincoln Lawyer) and Joseph Almani (Law of Attraction). Pic follows Danny (Joseph Almani), a young cop working on his uncle Bill’s (Michael Pare) classic vintage car on a secluded ranch when a major earthquake hits. Uncle Bill is crushed, and Danny becomes trapped under the car, creating a claustrophobic nightmare. The situation intensifies when something horrifying emerges out of the cracks in the ground that leaves Danny fighting for his life.

The movie is directed by Dale Fabrigar, produced by Suzanne DeLaurentiis, executive-produced by Kevin Goetz and co-executive-produced by Stephen Hornyak and Neil Goetz.

Film Mode is showing first-look footage to buyers during this week’s virtual AFM. Pic set for release in 2022.
