David Saltoff

David Saltoff was born in Ecuador. His first encounter with the entertainment industry was at age 5 in his native Guayaquil when by chance he was chosen from a live TV audience to pick a number for a price, and coincidentally he picked his grandmother's! The host of the show was so enamored with him, that she kept calling him to be in her live show, and that's how it all started. Later he participated in theatre, and TV commercials. David's grandfather was a very popular and beloved public figure in Guayaquil, he was a Philanthropist and one of the first backers of the national film industry. He acted and produced the first "sound" motion picture filmed entirely in Ecuador, with local talent and a Chilean Director "Se conocieron en Guayaquil" released in Guayaquil on December 23rd, 1949. David comes from a musical family from his paternal side of the family, and a theatrical from his maternal side.
