Sony’s “Caught Stealing” trailer shows Austin Butler navigating New York City’s criminal landscape in Darren Aronofsky’s latest film.

Butler plays Hank Thompson, a former baseball player who “unexpectedly finds himself embroiled in a dangerous struggle for survival amidst the criminal underbelly of 1990s New York City, forced to navigate a treacherous underworld he never imagined,” per the official logline. Butler is joined by cast members Bad Bunny, Matt Smith, Regina King, Vincent D’Onofrio, Action Bronson, Liev Schreiber and Griffin Dunne. Zoë Kravitz plays Butler’s love interest.

The film is written by Charlie Huston and adapted from his book series. “I am excited to be teaming up with my old friends at Sony Pictures to bring Charlie’s adrenaline-soaked roller coaster ride to life. I can’t wait to start working with Austin and my family of NYC filmmakers,” Aronofsky previously said.

Aronofsky’s most recent film was 2022’s “The Whale.

Sony has given the Aug. 29 release date originally set for “Insidious 6” to Darren Aronofsky’s crime thriller “Caught Stealing,” starring Austin Butler. The next “Insidious” entry has been pushed nearly a year, to Aug. 21, 2026.

Based on the book series by Charlie Huston, who also wrote the film, the official logline for “Caught Stealing” reads, “Burned-out ex-baseball player Hank Thompson (Butler) unexpectedly finds himself embroiled in a dangerous struggle for survival amidst the criminal underbelly of 1990s New York City, forced to navigate a treacherous underworld he never imagined.” Other cast members include Bad Bunny, Action Bronson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Zoë Kravitz, Liev Schreiber, Griffin Dunne, Matt Smith and Regina King.

The Aronofsky-Butler collaboration was first unveiled in March 2024. Upon the film’s announcement, the Oscar-nominated director told Variety that he was “excited to be teaming up with my old friends at Sony Pictures to bring Charlie’s adrenaline-soaked roller coaster ride to life.

Olivia Rodrigo, Tyler, the Creator, Luke Combs and Hozier are set to headline the 2025 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.

The four-day event will take place June 12-15 on the 700-acre Bonnaroo Farm in Manchester, Tennessee, located about 60 miles southeast of Nashville. Others set to perform include Vampire Weekend, GloRilla, Tyla, Raye, Avril Lavigne, Queens of the Stone Age, John Summit, Justice, Dom Dolla, Glass Animals and The Red Clay Strays.

Tickets go on sale Thursday. Last year’s event was headlined by Post Malone, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fred Again and Pretty Lights.

This year’s festival will have more than 10 stages and will debut the first Roo Residency with King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, featuring performances across three sets over three days.

Mac Miller’s sophomore album Watching Movies With the Sound Off turned 10 this week, and in honor of its anniversary, the late rapper’s estate and Rostrum Records have released a special 10th anniversary edition of the LP.

Featured on the album now is the original version of opening track “The Star Room,” titled “The Star Room (Og Version).” Miller had previously shared this version on SoundCloud in 2014. It features a different beat than the take that appeared on the album and also does not feature Miller’s alter ego Delusional Thomas.

Chance the Rapper has added concerts in Brooklyn and Los Angeles to his celebration of the 10-year anniversary of his breakout mixtape, Acid Rap.

Rapper and former chef Action Bronson is quickly becoming the hallmark star of Viceland, Vice’s television channel launched alongside A&E Networks in February 2016. The network is currently developing a late-night show to be headlined by Bronson, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It launches later this year and marks Bronson’s second show on Viceland following his culinary series Fuck, That’s Delicious.

Fuck, That’s Delicious began as a web series on Vice’s Munchies vertical and launched as a full-fledged television show in spring 2016. It concluded its second season in January, and Viceland just renewed it for a third. The series has also inspired a cookbook of the same name, which is due out on Sept. 12. Additionally, Bronson is the star of a forthcoming Snapchat series premiering Aug. 30 called Hungry Hearts With Action Bronson, in which the 33-year-old will curate dates for young singles. Skrillex and Rick Ross have finally dropped their much-anticipated music video for Purple Lamborghini, which, as promised, stars Jared Leto reprising his role as The Joker from this weekend's big release Suicide Squad. The actor once again got into costume to shoot all-new scenes for this short. The song is the featured track from the soundtrack release, which hits stores today, August 5th.

The music video features The Joker entering a seedy nightclub where Skrillex and Rick Ross are performing on stage. He encounters some questionable individuals on his way to a good resting place. But the Clown Prince is on edge, dressed in his signature tuxedo. At one point he comes face-to-face with Rick Ross, patting the big man on the shoulder as if to say, 'You're alright in my book!'

Last week, Warner Bros. unveiled the soundtrack song list and artwork for their highly-anticipated comic book adaptation Suicide Squad, which hits theaters on August 5. Before the soundtrack list was confirmed, there had been rumors that the lead song off this soundtrack would be "Heathens" by Twenty One Pilots, and that the music video may hit soon. It seems that rumor has been confirmed, with the music video dropping today.

Like most music video movie tie-ins, this "Heathens" video features snippets of footage from the movie, particularly within the Belle Reve prison. The video follows members of the band as they have been thrown in this prison with the various members of Task Force X.
