If you’ve never heard of Peacock's Twisted Metal, it’s an action series with humor similar to that of Deadpool. Yeah, there were times I laughed at something which probably shouldn’t be funny, yet it still was. Season 1 introduced us to the post-apocalyptic world and gave us the main characters’ introductions and some backstories.

John Doe (Anthony Mackie) is the protagonist who works as a type of courier called a Milk Man. He meets up with a woman he names Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz), and they work their way across treacherous terrain to deliver a package. His payment for this is to be given residence inside the protected New San Francisco (Nsf). Unfortunately, when he earns passage, she’s denied entry.

Another character, though I wouldn’t particularly call him a protagonist, is a killer clown named Sweet Tooth. This character is played by Joe Seanoa, who is a professional wrestler.

Netflix has announced its first recast for the live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Adam Beach will replace Joel Montgrand as the Southern Water Tribe's Chieftain, Hakoda, and the father of Sokka (Ian Ousley) and Katara (Kiawentiio). The actor will make his Avatar debut in Season 3, which is currently in production.

Before Netflix's Avatar series was released, Beach was a fan-favorite choice for playing Hakoda. Aside from his work on Law & Order, Beach is known for his roles in Cowboys & Aliens, Windtalkers, and Flags of Our Fathers. He began his acting career in 1990 and quickly made an impression, earning three "Best Actor" awards across major festivals, including the 1995 American Indian Film Festival, First Americans in the Arts Awards, and the 1998 San Diego World Film Festival. In 2009, his performance in Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor.

Severance fave Dichen Lachman has joined Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series for Season 2 in the role of Yangchen, the streamer announced on X.

Also boarding the second-season ensemble are Madison Hu (The Brothers Sun) as Fei; Dolly De Leon (Nine Perfect Strangers) as Lo and Li; Lily Gao (Letterkenny) as Ursa; and Terry Chen (Wild Cards) as Jeong Jeong.

The first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender was massively accepted and loved by the fans. The success of the live-action adaptation led to the show getting renewed for season two and three together. Production on season two has officially wrapped now and the viewers are in for a massive ride.

Severance’sDichen Lachman, known for her portrayal of Ms. Casey/Gemma Scout in the Apple TV+ sci-fi thriller series, has been cast in Season 2 of Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender.Lachman joins a total of seven new cast members across the next two seasons of The Last Airbender, per Variety. The first season premiered in 2024 on Netflix.

Lachman has been cast in the role of Yangchen in the series. Also joining the cast for Season 2 are Dolly de Leon (Triangle of Sadness)as Lo and Li, Terry Chen (Lucky Star)as Jeong Jeong, Lily Gao (Blue Sun Palace)as Ursa, and Madison Hu (The Brothers Sun)as Fei. Tantoo Cardinal, known for performances in Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moonand Dances with Wolves, will join Season 3 of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Cardinal will portray Hama in the series. Also joining the third season is Jon Jon Briones (Hadestown) as Piandao.

As fans anxiously await the second season of the hit fantasy adaptation, the streaming giant is moving ahead with another batch of episodes sooner rather than later. Yes, not only has Netflix renewed Avatar: The Last Airbender for Season 3, but they have already started filming it.

Fresh off finishing production on Season 2, Netflix revealed that filming on Season 3 is now commencing for Avatar: The Last Airbender. The streamer released a video announcement with the cast celebrating the occasion, including recurring actors Gordon Cormier (Aang), Ian Ousley (Sokka), Miya Cech (Toph), Kiawentiio (Katara), Dallas Liu (Zuko), Elizabeth Yu (Azula), Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Uncle Roh), and Daniel Dae Kim (Fire Lord Azai). All of those names will be moving on to Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 3, and they are indeed filming the next two seasons back-to-back to finish out the adaptation.

Per the report, the next Resident Evil film will be an adaptation of the prequel game Resident Evil 0, first released on the Nintendo GameCube in 2002. It's also important to point out that the studio and production company behind the Resident Evil movies, Screen Gems / Constantin Films, is required to release a new film every five years in order to keep the rights to the Resident Evil films. This is helping to fuel the speculation around another film being released this year.

Exclusive: Schitt’s Creek star Emily Hampshire is starring in and executive-producing under-the-radar rom-com The End Of Sex, which has just wrapped in Hamilton, Canada.

Also starring are Jonas Chernick (James Vs His Future Self), Gray Powell (Sort Of), Lily Gao (Letterkenny) and Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp).

The feature follows a young couple (Hampshire and Chernick), who feeling the pressures of parenting and adulthood, send their kids to camp for the first time and embark on a series of sexual adventures to reinvigorate their relationship.

Vortex Productions is behind the feature from director Sean Garrity who is re-teaming with his My Awkward Sexual Adventure collaborators Chernick and Hampshire. Chernick has also penned the script.

As we've seen in recent photos, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City reimagines some of the characters from the original video games with a more diverse cast, and Johannes Roberts is explaining the casting process in a new interview. This week, a peek at some major characters was revealed in some first look photos. Their outfits are rather similar to what the characters wear in the video games, though certain S.T.A.R.S. members differ physically from how they appear in the video game universe.

Recently speaking with IGN, Roberts detailed exactly what went into casting these iconic Resident Evil characters. From the director's view, he was looking more so to capture the "spirit and energy" of these characters as opposed to simply finding someone who looked the part without much more to offer. First look photos for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City have been revealed, giving fans their first look at the new incarnations of fan favorite characters from the games. In development at Screen Gems for a November release, Welcome to Raccoon City is written and directed by Johannes Roberts. It serves as a reboot of the movie series with no connection to the prior installments from Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich.

With Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, Johannes is taking the series back to its roots. Several characters from the original video games will be brought in for a movie that's much more faithful to the source material. And the newest attempt at “The Stand” was a major dud almost from its onset. But, as they say, the third time’s a charm with “Chapelwaite,” a pitch-black horror set in 1850s Maine, where vampires rule the looming eternal night.

Like many great “Nosferatu”-lite narratives, “Chapelwaite,” based upon King’s “Jerusalem’s Lot,” isn’t merely fixated on the bloodthirsty undead stalking the innocent humans trembling in their candlelit homes; it explores our relationship with death, grief, family and what it means to have eternal life. It begins at Chapelwaite manor, where in 1817 a petrified young boy named Charles Boone unsuccessfully attempts to escape his rabid, shovel-wielding father (Sebastien Labelle), who’s dug a grave in his name right outside their home.

The upcoming Johannes Roberts-directed “Resident Evil” film now has a name: “Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.”

Roberts revealed the title and details of the movie’s plot during a panel with IGN’s Lucy O’Brien at SXSW on Saturday. Speaking about the genesis of the title, Roberts — who has directed both of the “47 Meters Down” films — said that the setting of Raccoon City plays a big role in the film.

“The movie is very much an origin story for ‘Resident Evil,'” Roberts said. “It’s an ensemble piece, and Raccoon City plays a big part and is a character in the movie. It’s about this group of people all coming from different angles — some coming into town, some already having grown up in this town — meeting over this one fateful night.”

Early this morning, Resident Evil reboot actor Chad Rook has shared what looks to be the first key art for the upcoming movie ahead of its release in theaters this fall. Although the artwork brandishes the Constantin Film and Sony Pictures logos, it has yet to be shared by their specific channels, so it's not entirely clear if this is the movie's official first poster. In any case, the image succeeds in teasing Johannes Roberts' reboot that will have much more in common with the original source material.

In the Resident Evil movie, Rook plays Richard Aiken, a character that was only featured in the original video game (along with its remake). Several other familiar names are shown on the poster that gamers will recognize, as this version will be much more faithful to the video games than Paul W.

The Resident Evil Reboot movie reboot will be here in fall 2021. That is, assuming everything goes according to plan. Constantine Film is currently in production on a new movie based on the iconic Capcom video game franchise. But, as 2020 has made clear, plans for theatrical releases are not exactly set in stone, given all the uncertainty the industry is contending with. That having been said, the studio has revealed a September 2021 release date.

The Resident Evil movie reboot continues to come together as new cast members have been added to the growing ensemble. Leading the way is Donal Logue, who will be bringing yet another classic character from the early video games to the big screen. The former Gotham star has been cast as Chief Irons. Meanwhile, filming on the upcoming adaptation has quietly gotten underway, which puts it on a path to arrive sometime in 2021.

According to a new report, Donal Logue joins the cast as production has begun. Other new cast members include Chad Rook (The Flash) and Lily Gao (The Handmaid's Tale) who have boarded the movie in unspecified supporting roles. As had been previously announced, the cast also includes Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield, Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Tom Hopper as Albert Wesker, Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy and Neal McDonough as William Birkin.

Exclusive: Donal Logue will play Chief Irons in the Johannes Roberts-helmed origin story from the Resident Evil world, which is being produced by Constantin Film. Logue is joining previously announced stars Kaya Scodelario, Hannah John-Kamen, Robbie Amell, Tom Hopper, Avan Jogia and Neal McDonough as production is underway.

Chad Rook (The Flash) and Lily Gao (The Handmaid’s Tale) also have been cast in supporting roles.

Set for release in 2021, the pic is a brand-new adaptation with faithful ties to Capcom’s classic survival horror games, with the story taking place on a fateful night in Raccoon City in 1998 and with the cast in the roles of the iconic game characters.

As previously reported, Scodelario will play Claire Redfield, John-Kamen is Jill Valentine, Amell will portray Chris Redfield, Hopper is Albert Wesker, Jogia is Leon S. Kennedy, and McDonough will play William Birkin.
