The Frasier revival's season 2 finale wraps up a slightly improved sophomore year by sticking to its signature storytelling approach. It's no secret that when the Paramount+ reboot of the beloved sitcom was announced, it was met with a divisive response considering the risks of bringing it back. It didn't help that the majority of its original ensemble isn't involved, including David Hyde Pierce's Niles and Jane Leeves' Daphne. The Frasier season 1 finale effectively addressed the show's premise, which was about Frasier reconnecting with his son, Freddy. However, Paramount+ deemed that the series deserved at least another year.

Frasier star Kelsey Grammer insists he hasn't had enough of playing the eponymous talk show host-turned-teacher just yet. The Emmy-winning actor wants to keep playing Frasier Crane for "another 100 episodes" as he sees great potential in the ongoing reboot series.

Speaking with the Toronto Sun, Grammer revealed his plans for the Frasier revival, claiming he's viewing the updated version of the revered sitcom as a long-term project. I want to do another 100 episodes at least, Grammer said. Whether we get there sooner rather than later, I dont know. We could get there in four years if they wanted to, but we dont need to. If they want to spread it out a little longer, thats fine with me."

Having played Dr. Frasier Crane since the '80s, Kelsey Grammer knows his time as one of the biggest sitcom characters in history is closer to ending. The long-time Frasier star gets philosophical as he pictures how he wants the curtains to close on his ongoing reboot.

Speaking with the New York Times, Grammer laid out his vision for ending Frasier, which is in Season 2 of its second run following a decorated 11-year stint between 1993 and 2004. The Emmy-winning actor cited a famous poem by Alfred Tennyson, believing his central character must have "a place to go" when it's all said and done. "In the last show, I want to quote Tennyson, 'Ulysses': 'To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.' Thats the way I want it to end, with a sense that there is still a beginning, an unknown, a place to go," Grammer said.

For those who haven't kept up with Frasier following the original show's conclusion, the iconic television character now resides in Boston, where his character was first introduced during Cheers' third season. Frasier's visit to his native Seattle, which occurs in the October 31 episode "Thank You, Dr. Crane," paves the way for Peri Gilpin's Roz Doyle to have a more prominent role in the reboot. Author and naturalist Bradley Trevor Greive will appear as an animated globetrotting wildlife expert on Netflix in October via Kapow Pictures and Mission Control Media’s Adventure Beast.

Produced with the streamer’s unscripted department, the series stars a 2D version of the Penguin Bloom co-author that travels the world, getting into zany misadventures while imparting weird and wonderful nature factoids.

Greive voices the character and is also a writer alongside Kapow co-founder Mark Gravas, who also directs. There are further voice contributions from Danice Cabanela and Josh Zuckerman.

Executive producing are Mission Control Media’s Michael Agbabian and Dwight D. Smith, alongside Gravas, fellow Kapow co-founder Sandra Walters, Greive, and Brian Frange. Brent Burnette is co-executive producer.

The idea originated in 2014, when Gravas made some animated shorts featuring a costumed Greive talking about his animal encounters and lesser-known wildlife facts.
