"Scrubs" and "Garden State" star, Zach Braff, is jumping back into the director's chair after several awards nominations. Today we have the first trailer for his latest film, "A Good Person," starring Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman. Production began on the project in October 2021, and it will be released in the spring of next year. 

In the film, Pugh's character Allison is involved in a fatal accident, according to a report from Deadline. In the wake of the tragedy, Allison develops an "unlikely relationship with her would-be father-in-law," who is played by Freeman, which helps her find a way forward to "live a life worth living." 

In addition to Pugh and Freeman, "A Good Person" will star Celeste O'Connor ("The In-Between"), Zoe Lister-Jones ("Life in Pieces"), and Molly Shannon ("Saturday Night Live"). Braff also serves as a writer for the film, which he told Vanity Fair that he wrote during the pandemic.

There are plenty of questions to be answered in The Matrix Resurrections and many of its big mysteries are addressed head on. But there are a few things that may not be so clear about the movie’s plot that need further explanation.

Highly anticipated sci-fi sequel The Matrix 4 has reportedly been shown in a test screening, and aside from revealing the title to indeed be The Matrix Resurrections as was previously rumored, the solitary review of director Lana Wachowski's return to the world she created has some very positive things to say. The surprising reveal of a Matrix sequel after all these years certainly has a lot of fans nervous. Hopefully this review will go some way to assuage those doubts.

Considering that The Matrix 4 is due for release in just six months' time, we still know very, very little about the sci-fi action sequel. Well, star Jessica Henwick, who joins the likes of Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the unexpected follow-up, has offered some insight into her role in the movie, teasing a very physical character for her to play.

"I haven't seen a cut of the film, so I don't know what's in it and what isn't, but I trained every day for months. There are a couple of cast members who didn't have any physical stuff and they were so sad. How can you be in The Matrix and not get to do any of the good stuff?"

The Matrix is well-known for reinventing action cinema with the use of bullet-time, with audiences excited to see what director Lana Wachowski has in store all these years later.

Filming on The Matrix 4 has now wrapped, with the cast and crew reportedly celebrating the movie's completion with a huge party in Germany, despite nationwide health and safety restrictions forbidding it. As many as 200 members of the team are said to have taken part in the wrap party at Studio Babelsberg in Potsdam, Germany, with those behind The Matrix 4 reportedly circumventing the new protocols by claiming they were filming a scene for the highly anticipated sci-fi sequel.

According to a source who was lucky enough to attend, the mood at the party was 'exuberant', and while they added that no one was filming, the spokeswoman for Studio Babelsberg, Bianca Markarewicz, refuted this claiming that the team was shooting a 'celebration scene' and that 'hygiene regulations were complied with.'

"The production team consciously put this shoot with its many participants, right at the end of the filming," Markarewicz asserted.

With The Matrix 4 now only just over a year away, excitement amongst fans is palpable. Though you may be feeling a bit down thanks to the major Warner Bros. reshuffling that is currently happening due to the delay of No Time to Die, it's not all bad news. The Matrix 4 is now scheduled to hit theaters several months earlier than expected, moving from April 1, 2022, to Dec. 22, 2021. Moving The Matrix 4 forward comes amid a series of delays at the box office, with No Time to Die now scheduled for release on April 2, 2021. Several movies on the DC slate have also suffered push backs, including director Matt Reeves' The Batman, which has been moved from next year all the way to March 4, 2022. The highly anticipated sci-fi epic Dune, has been delayed almost a full year and will now not grace theaters until October 1st, 2021, the date previously held by The Batman.

Another returning cast member has now been added to the roster of The Matrix 4, with actor and stuntman Daniel Bernhardt now set to reprise the role of the villainous computer programme Agent Johnson in the upcoming sequel. Bernhardt also provided the voice for Agent Johnson in the video game Enter the Matrix and has featured in several other high-profile action flicks including Atomic Blonde and John Wick.

Actor and stuntman Daniel Bernhardt will reprise his role as Agent Johnson in the fourth installment of the Matrix franchise, which recently resumed production after a five-month hiatus due the pandemic.

Bernhardt was in 2003’s The Matrix Reloaded and has also appeared in the John Wick movies as an actor and a stunt performer.

The Matrix 4 has Lana Wachowski at the helm with returning franchise stars Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Jada Pinkett Smith. Newcomers include Priyanka Chopra, Jessica Henwick, Ibarra, Neil Patrick Harris, Toby Onwumere, Brian J. Smith, Eréndira Ibarra, Andrew Caldwell, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Ellen Hollman.

"I have great hope that, that fans will appreciate all the work that Lana and everyone is putting into this movie. I'm a big Lana Wachowski fan. I think she's a great person. I think she has a great inclusive energy, and her style has shifted visually from what she had done to what she is currently doing. And it's changed in an evolved way and she's such a bright light. Written by Keanu Reeves and Matt Kindt and featuring the artwork of Ron Garney, the synopsis for Brzrkr reads, "A man known only as Berzerker is half-mortal and half-God, cursed and compelled to violence...even at the sacrifice of his sanity. The breath-taking actor has detailed what it's like to be back filming again in Berlin, with Reeves stating that things have "felt normal."

"I'm here in Berlin, and everybody who's working on the production has worked thoroughly and in concert with the local government and industries and the Babelsberg, [Germany] studios. The Matrix co-director Lilly Wachowski's recent revelation that the movie was always meant to be a metaphor for transgender identity has given the sci-fi classic a layer of interpretation many always suspected was there. Neo himself, Keanu Reeves, was recently asked about this element of The Matrix, to which the actor acknowledged that, while he was not aware of the transgender allegory, he thinks it's "cool".

"I never spoke to Lilly about that. She never conveyed that to me. I think the Matrix films are profound, and I think that allegorically, a lot of people in different versions of the film can speak to that, and for Lilly to come out and share that with us, I think is cool."

Lilly Wachowski revealed that this was almost meant to be one of the movie's purposes, with the director saying, "I'm glad that it has gotten out, that was the original intention.

Deadline first revealed back in March that production on the Warner Bros / Village Roadshow pic was pausing in German city Berlin due to the disruption. Filming is now back underway, with star Keanu Reeves making an appearance in a video interview with AP to update on its prospects.

“Everyone loves the project and if you’re ever going to get in a situation that needs to be figured out…show business people are the best,” said Reeves. “We’re scrappy, we know how to get stuff done, we’re inventive, we think on our feet. It’s a great honor and I’m grateful to be working.”

The announcement that we would be returning to the science fiction world of The Matrix came as quite the shock. With the trilogy having wrapped up all the way back in 2003, it was assumed that the story of rebel fighters Neo, Trinity, and Morpheus was over and done with. Well, the surprise was not just felt by fans, but by the stars of the movie franchise too, with Trinity herself, actress Carrie-Anne Moss, recently opening up about The Matrix being reloaded.

Speaking with Empire, Moss expressed her amazement over the franchise's return saying, "I never thought that it would happen. It was never on my radar at all." The Matrix 4 is looking to begin filming again in July. Production on the upcoming sequel originally kicked off in February, but production was shut down in mid-March as countries began putting social distancing measures in place. Now, as several countries such as New Zealand and the U.K. look to get movie and TV productions up and running again, Warner Bros. has its sights set on picking this one back up over the summer.

According to a new report, the cast members of The Matrix 4 have all signed an eight-week contract extension that will run through at least July 6. This will keep the cast on hold until that point, and Warner Bros. hopes that, somehow, filming can pick up by or before then. Filming had wrapped in San Francisco, with the cast and crew set to move on to Europe. But the shutdown took place before cameras got rolling on the continent.

Multiple sources tell Variety that the cast of Lana Wachowski’s fourth installment of the sci-fi franchise has signed eight-week extensions to keep the actors on hold until at least July 6.

Filming began in February in San Francisco before moving to Berlin in mid-March. However, cameras never got rolling in Europe because production was halted in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Original “Matrix” stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are reprising their roles in the fourth film. Rounding out the cast are Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Neil Patrick Harris, Brian J. Smith, Toby Onwumere and Jonathan Groff.

The film is currently scheduled for a 2021 release. Warner Bros. has not announced an exact date nor if it will be impacted by the postponed production.
