While everyone knows that Alappuzha Gymkhana made waves at the box office, few realize how remarkable its run has been. Directed by Khalid Rahman and headlined by Naslen, the film has emerged as the second most profitable release of 2025. And this, despite sharing its release date with Mammootty’s Bazooka and Basil Joseph’s Maranamass. Much of the anticipation stemmed from Rahman’s reputation; his previous outing, Thallumaala, was also a commercial success. As its theatrical chapter draws to a close, Alappuzha Gymkhana is all set to make its grand Ott debut.

Dwayne Johnson’s feud with Vin Diesel was one of the high-profile beefs that came out of Hollywood. Given that both actors were in the Fast & Furious franchise, the feud took center stage with the franchise arguably being in its golden age. However, as Johnson expands towards more dramatic roles with The Smashing Machine, it seems that The Rock has one upcoming fight that might leave the Diesel-Johnson beef in the dust.

Netflix is claiming a nine-figure global audience for its Nov. 15 boxing spectacle between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.
The streamer says 108 million people worldwide watched social media star turned boxer Paul beat the 58-year-old former heavyweight champion. Those figures are based on U.S. viewing tallies from analytics company TVision and Netflix’s first-party data for the rest of the world. The 108 million figure comes two days after Netflix said 60 million of its member households worldwide (about one of every five subscription holders) watched the bout, with a peak of 65 million concurrent streams.
Prior to the Paul-Tyson bout, a title fight between women’s super lightweight champion Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano (Taylor won a controversial unanimous decision) brought in 74 million viewers worldwide, with 47 million watching in the United States, according to average minute audience (the closest streaming analogue to linear TV measurement) from TVision. Tyson Fury is menacing. His moves in the ring and absolute wrath for anyone who crosses his path are no secret. He’s the kind of fighter who won’t mind taking his skills up for that unprofessional route and messing you up if you’re to go against him. Even if it’s in a casual match of FIFA.
There was a time when Tyson was quite vocal about how riled-up FIFA could get him. So much so that his own brother had to witness his anger when he tried to cheat in a game. It’s safe to say that cheaters don’t deserve a second chance, and that couldn’t be truer if you were in front of Tyson.

Known for his music and Grammy-winning hits, over the past few years, Drake has also earned the reputation of bringing somewhat bad luck to the sports stars he places his bets on. While it seemed ineffective in the case of the Kansas City Chiefs, whom the rapper bet $1.15 million on, Francis Ngannou does not seem to have the same luck as the football team.

The former UFC heavyweight champion was knocked out cold in just two rounds by his opponent Anthony Joshua in their recent dual, for which the God’s Plan singer bet $615,000 on Ngannou.

Hundreds of Cbeebies Bedtime Stories will soon be added to BBC iPlayer, and details of what’s happening are here.
The art of telling a story has been utilised for the television screen ever since the medium began. Jackanory is probably the best example, whether it was the much missed Bernard Cribbins spinning a yarn or the great Rik Mayall reading Road Dahl’s George’s Marvellous Medicine with a feverish fervour, it is perhaps the most primal form of drama there is, and is integral to children’s development.
Bedtime Stories is a kind of modern take on Jackanory for pre-schoolers, often managing to tempt huge stars of stage, screen, music and everything inbetween to Cbeebies to read a story. The BBC is making hundreds of episodes from the past available on iPlayer too.

Calvin Harris and Vick Hope are married! The Scottish DJ and British radio host reportedly tied the knot at a lavish estate in Alnwick, England, on Sept. 9 and treated guests to a gorgeous reception outdoors, People confirms. Representatives for Harris did not immediately respond to Popsugar's request for comment.
Harris, 39, and Hope, 33, have known each other for nearly two decades, but their initial encounter wasn't exactly the love-at-first-sight type. Harris asked Hope on a date in 2007 shortly after releasing his hit "Acceptable in the 80s," but she turned him down. "It's something that we laughed about on our first proper date," she told You Magazine earlier this year. "We still laugh about it now."
The pair reconnected years later and were first romantically linked in early 2022. They made their first public outing as a couple last May, with Hope wearing a large emerald-cut diamond ring that sparked engagement rumors. The...

Tyson Fury is to record and release a cover of the Neil Diamond song “Sweet Caroline” in partnership with the mental-health charity Talk Club.

Anthony Bourdain’s final correspondences are set to be revealed in an upcoming, unauthorised biography entitled Down and Out in Paradise: The Life of Anthony Bourdain.
The book is written by journalist Charles Leerhsen who draws on interviews, files, texts and emails from Bourdain’s phone and laptop.
In excerpts published by The New York Times on Tuesday (27 September), Bourdain’s last texts to his ex-wife Ottavia Busia-Bourdain show a man conflicted with the duality of fame.
“I hate my fans, too. I hate being famous. I hate my job,” the travel documentarian wrote to Busia-Bourdain, who remained his confidente after their separation in 2016. “I am lonely and living in constant uncertainty.”
The pair had not officially divorced by the time of his death, and though the article does not specifically state how Leerhsen came by Bourdain’s phone and laptop, his widow controls his estate, including his personal effects.

Netflix has announced that a multi-part documentary on heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury is in the works.
Fury announced in April that he would not fight again as a professional, moments after his knockout of fellow Briton Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium.
Fury, 33, had also suggested in the lead-up to that Wbc title defence that he might not compete again after the seismic fight, which took place in front of 94,000 fans in London, but the “Gypsy King” is yet to relinquish his belt.
Now a potential clash between Fury and fellow title holder Oleksandr Usyk is on the cards, with the goal being to crown an undisputed heavyweight champion.
The unbeaten Fury’s apparent indecisiveness around retirement looks set to be a subject of Netflix’s upcoming ‘docu-series’.
“News: Netflix is in production on a multipart documentary with global boxing star Tyson Fury!” the streaming service’s UK account tweeted on Wednesday.

Piers Morgan is being called out for hypocrisy over comments he made about boxer Anthony Joshua.
On Saturday (20 August), Joshua was defeated by Oleksandr Usyk in their world heavyweight title rematch in Saudi Arabia. After, he stormed out of the ring before returning to deliver a “bizarre” speech.
The world of sport and entertainment have been commenting on Joshua’s post-match behaviour.
Morgan wrote on Twitter after the match had ended: “Embarrassing antics at the end by Joshua. He was beaten by a superior fighter who put on a magnificent performance of highly-skilled, supremely resilient boxing.”
However, many are pointing out that Morgan did something similar in March 2021.
Morgan made headlines after he stormed off Good Morning Britain when co-star Alex Beresford condemned his comments about Meghan Markle’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Exclusive: The story of Black British boxing sensation Len Johnson is to be told in a feature film from Rush exec Guy East, written by the “godmother of Black British playwrights” Winsome Pinnock.
Champion is the first major project from UK commercials producer MindsEye’s two-year-old film and TV division and is based on Rob Howard’s book Boxing’s Uncrowned Champion – Len Johnson and the Colour Bar.
Johnson was one of the top middleweight boxers in the 1920s and 1930s but was denied his dream of becoming a British boxing champion due to the ‘colour bar’, the rule that stated only white fighters could claim championship status.
He fought tirelessly against this injustice and his determined activism led to the ‘colour bar’ being overturned, clearing the pathway for multiple future Black British champions. Last year, a petition to have a statue erected in his hometown of Manchester was signed...

Rising global sports outlet Dazn reported a 98% rise in total streaming hours in 2019, to 507 million from 256 million.
The rematch in December between heavyweight fighters Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr. was the most-viewed event of the year, though Dazn did not break out viewership stats for any individual events. The numbers shared Tuesday reflect both live and on-demand viewing, but the vast majority of consumption on Dazn is live, reflecting the nature of sports. Consistent with the approach of most subscription streaming services, which don’t rely on traditional advertising revenue driven by ratings, Dazn generally releases only select bits of data about viewing on its platform.
Based in the UK and backed by billionaire Len Blavatnik, Dazn operates in nine countries, including Japan, Germany, Brazil, the U.S. and Canada. John Skipper, who spent 20 years at ESPN, six of them as its president, has been overseeing Dazn’s expansion as its executive chairman.

YouTube revealed its top videos of the year on Thursday, with Lil Nas X and Shawn Mendes being two of the standout performers when it came to music videos, while established creators like PewDiePie also made an appearance on its year-end roundup.
Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” which featured Billy Ray Cyrus, was the most-viewed music video in the U.S. this year. The video for the mammoth single, which was uploaded in early April, has racked up nearly 470 million views so far — even though it only includes the song and artwork of two horses galloping; the live-action music video that came out the following month, pulling in about 400 million views, ended up being the fifth most-viewed U.S. music video of the year.
Internationally, though, the song was “only” the fifth most-liked music video of the year, falling behind Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, who grabbed the top slot with “Senorita.
