Gaby Moreno’s new short film for “Lamento” is a powerful look at memory. Rolling Stone can premiere the Guatemalan musician‘s 10-minute film companion of the song, shot at the ruins of an abandoned beach resort swallowed by the sea in her native country.
“This is a story of longing and loss, of dreams that pull us forward and roots that call us back,” Moreno tells Rolling Stone. “It’s about the silent grief of seeing home fade into a memory, realizing that time moves on even when we wish it didn’t.

President Donald Trump is not happy with Fox News reporter and anchor Jacqui Heinrich after she dared to question his relationship with Russian president Vladimir Putin and his recent Tesla promotional stunt at the White House. Appearing on Fox News on Sunday (March 16), Heinrich spoke with Ohio GOP Senator Bernie Moreno about Trump advertising Elon Musk‘s Tesla vehicles outside the White House last week, in addition to Tesla’s open letter to the Trump administration about the ongoing tariff war. “Was that an appropriate thing for the president to do there?” Heinrich asked Moreno about Trump’s Tesla stunt. On that same show, Heinrich interviewed Trump’s national security advisor, Mike Waltz, where they discussed the President’s attempts to broker a ceasefire deal between Ukraine and Russia. During the interview, she referenced a European intelligence service document detailing how the Kremlin could stall when Russia began negotiating. “How...

Deftones singer Chino Moreno was bombarded on a street in Dallas by a number of autograph hounds who each had multiple vinyl albums for him to sign. After politely signing most of the items, the frontman appeared to get fed up, telling them he was done “signing s**t.”
Video shows Moreno signing items for a couple people at first, before several other autograph seekers approach him. One person seems to have about 10 Deftones albums alone, as Moreno signs each and every one of them. Then another person comes at him with multiple vinyl sleeves, as well.

After signing for a few more people, Moreno says, “Go ahead and tell your friends I’m not doing this shit no more. You guys go online in your little groups and shit, tell people I’m not signing shit no more. I signed these right now, but let...

††† (Crosses) — the duo of Chino Moreno (Deftones) and producer/multi-instrumentalist Shaun Lopez — recruited Run the Jewels rapper El-p for the track “Big Youth” on their 2023 album, Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete. Now they’ve teamed up for the song’s music video.
The clip arrives a day after Crosses launched their North American tour. Moreno and Lopez are set to play Denver on Friday (February 9th), with the outing running through March 11th in Seattle. You can get tickets via StubHub, where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.
The Rizz-edited video for “Big Youth” is an all-business performance clip that should give fans a glimpse into the duo’s stage show. Strobes and campy video effects overlay Lopez, who’s hunched over his gear as he provides the backbeat and synths, while Moreno paces back and forth while he physically wears the angst in his voice.

The Delinquents is the sort of pleasurable movie that never feels rushed, masterfully carrying a viewer along a variety of detours over its three-plus hour runtime. It is languid yet never inert. It deftly moves between genres including comedy, romance, and Western. A heist picture at its core, with that comes the expected tense moments—moments that never play as out of place within the pacing of the rest of the film. It’s a remarkable achievement from Argentine filmmaker Rodrigo Moreno.
The Un Certain Regard highlight begins with the two unexpected criminals at the center of this heist: Principled, unassuming Morán (Daniel Elías) has calculated the exact sum he would earn if he worked at this regional bank until retirement, multiplying that tally by two on an old school calculator. The theft is an expedited retirement plan for Morán: he’s determined a few years in actual prison is...

Rodrigo Moreno’s heist thriller The Delinquents has many tricks up its sleeve, from outsized musical motifs to droll office comedy. Yet one of the most potent tools at Moreno’s disposal is one that was unplanned. Like the events chronicled in the film, the production spread out across over five years, a duration that created a space for the Argentine writer-director to contemplate deep existential questions as if in parallel with his characters. It’s but one pane in a full house of mirrors that creates some fascinating cinematic refractions.
Though the robbery of a Buenos Aires bank marks the inciting incident of The Delinquents, this sui generis crime caper quickly moves beyond tactical considerations and enters a philosophical realm for Morán (Daniel Elías) and Román (Esteban Bigliardi). The former of the two bank employees smuggles out enough money for both men to retire, wagering that a few years...

Four years after “Black Panther” became the first Oscar-winning film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” cast member Angela Bassett has made history as the first person to achieve academy recognition for an MCU performance. Included among the numerous actors with whom she reunites in the 2022 sequel is Lupita Nyong’o, who first played her role of Nakia four years after earning a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for “12 Years a Slave.” If Bassett ends up prevailing in the same category this year, Nyong’o will be the 16th woman to have acted in a film that won the same Oscar she previously received.
Until this year, “12 Years a Slave” was the only acting Oscar-nominated film Nyong’o had appeared in. Two of her cast mates in the 2014 Best Picture winner – Chiwetel Ejiofor and Michael Fassbender – respectively competed for the male lead and supporting prizes but eventually...
