The trailer for Justified: City Primeval has been released, providing the best look yet at the FX show's revival. Based on novels by author Elmore Leonard, Justified ran for six seasons before coming to an end in 2015. Now, star Timothy Olyphant is set to return as no-nonsense U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens to hunt down a new criminal in Detroit.
Ahead of the Justified: City Primeval release date this summer, FX Networks has now released a full-length trailer for the revival showing Raylan adjusting to life in Detroit and taking on Boyd Holbrook's Clement Mansell, aka the Oklahoma Wildman. Check out the trailer below:
The trailer highlights the revival's drastic change in setting, with Olyphant's cowboy hat-wearing hero sticking out like a sore thumb. That being said, it's clear that Raylan's hardline approach when it comes to criminals remains intact.

Justified: City Primeval star Timothy Olyphant recalls what it was like to find himself in the middle of a very real shootout on the revival's Chicago set. Airing from 2010 to 2015 on FX, Justified follows the exploits of U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Olyphant) in his small hometown in Kentucky, with the revival set to take the character to Detroit. Filming on the revival was shut down last July when a shooting occurred on set, with thankfully none of the cast or crew sustaining any injuries.
During a recent appearance on the Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend podcast, Olyphant shared what it was like to experience the on-set shooting while filming Justified: City Primeval.
The star estimates that at least 100 rounds were fired as the occupants of two cars engaged in a shootout, racing through where the revival was filming very late at night. Check out Olyphant's full recollection of events...
