Magdalena Sverlander is a Swedish actress who trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. She stars in the lead role as Emma in Film i Dalarna's upcoming Scandinavian drama-thriller Ensam (Drifting in Silence), with Oskar Skagerberg, set for a 2026 release.
Magdalena appears in Jimmy Carr's period comedy Fackham Hall, alongside Thomasin McKenzie and Ben Radcliffe, scheduled for theatrical release in December 2025.
She plays the British character Kate in the Scandinavian black comedy White Guilt, alongside Ivar Forsling and Leif Endre, which had its Swedish premiere in 2025.
She also plays the role of Valentina in the Jason Bourne spin-off TV series Treadstone (Amazon Prime / USA Network).
Magdalena stars in BAFTA and BFI Network's sci-fi drama Downtime (Storm Features), in the lead role as the abused android XYA - a portrayal that earned her a Best Actor nomination at the Women X Film Festival (UK) in September 2021.
She landed the lead role of Theresa Stenmark in Season 2 of the Nordic TV series The Crown Witness (Kroongetuige), commissioned by RTL Network (Strix).
Magdalena received recognition and two Best Actor nominations for her performance as the young, torn mother Tindra Diaz in the Scandinavian short film When Tears Have Fallen, inspired by the short story El Pagador de Lágrimas by Laia Falcón Díaz-Aguado.
When Tears Have Fallen premiered at the Gothenburg International Film Festival and went on to receive over twenty Official Selections and a dozen awards worldwide
