Nour El Nabawy, Lin Yin & Kayode Akinyemi To Star In Ali F. Mostafa’s Dubai-Set ‘City of Life Continuum’

Nour El Nabawy, Lin Yin and Kayode Akinyemi have been unveiled as key cast of Emirati director Ali F. Mostafa’s long-awaited feature City of Life Continuum as principal photography gets underway at Dubai Studios.

The movie is a sequel to Mostafa’s 2009 first feature City of Life, which made history as the first local production to achieve box success as the United Arab Emirates first began building a domestic film and TV sector some 15 years ago.

It is Mostafa’s fourth feature in a filmography which also includes From A to B, following three estranged friends who reconnect during a road trip from Abu Dhabi to Beirut, and dystopian drama The Worthy.

Arab Cinema Center publishes its annual list of the most influential figures in the Arab cinema industry

The Arab Cinema Center has published this year's “Golden 101”, its annual list of the 101 most influential figures in Arab cinema in its 22nd edition of Arab Cinema Magazine, which is being circulated at the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival and can be accessed on the Marché du Film website.

Celebrating individuals and institutions who have made the most significant impact on the Arab film industry over the past twelve months, this year's Golden 101 comprises of 13 directors, 16 producers, 14 actors, five crew members, 18 distributors from 12 institutions, 12 executives from 10 governmental cinema institutions, 11 executives from seven video-on-demand platforms, 11 representatives from seven festivals, and seven executives from film financing institutions.

Premiere launches Afm sales on Scott Adkins thriller 'Karmouz War' (exclusive)
Egyptian summer box office smash set in time before 1952 revolution.

Los Angeles-based Premiere Entertainment Group (Peg) has launched talks here with worldwide buyers on Karmouz War starring martial arts ace Scott Adkins.

Amir Karara also stars in this year’s Egyptian summer box office smash that takes place in English-occupied Egypt in the time before the 1952 revolution. Adkins plays a British soldier locked up for misconduct who is unleashed in the struggle against Egyptian troops.

Peter Mimi directed from his own screenplay based on a story by Mohamed El Sobky, who produced Karmouz War. Karim Gawish served as executive producer for Lucid Film.
