Luke Grimes finally has a co-star in Y: Marshals. The upcoming CBS drama series serves as a sequel spinoff to Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone.

Per Deadline, Logan Marshall-Green has been cast to co-lead Y: Marshals as Pete Calvin, a friend from Kayce's time in the military. The actor is best known for his work in the horror movies Devil (2010) and The Invitation (2015) as well as Leigh Whannell's Upgrade (2018) and Ridley Scott’s Prometheus (2012). He also played the first Shocker in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and will next appear in Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated The Odyssey, which is scheduled to hit theaters in July 2026. Marshall-Green also shares a striking resemblance to fellow Spider-Man actor Tom Hardy, with the two often being mistaken for one another by fans.

Ordered to series in May 2025 by CBS, Y: Marshals will see Grimes reprise his Yellowstone role as Kayce Dutton, as he joins an "elite unit of U.

The first spinoff of the Yellowstone universe, 1883, revolved around James and Margaret Dutton. It starred Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Sam Elliott, and Eric Nelsen. It premiered in December 2021 and wrapped up in February 2022. It was not renewed for a second season because the story was fully explored.

We recently learned some exciting news about several returning Taylor Sheridan shows from Paramount, but there was one particular title left out of the group. While we learned release windows for four of the prolific producer's television series coming later this fall, one of his highly anticipated Yellowstone spinoffs didn't receive an update on when to expect its release.

The Madison wasn't given a release window along with four highly anticipated Sheridan series. During an earnings call held by Paramount, the company revealed that Tulsa King season 3, Mayor of Kingstown season 4, Landman season 2, and Dutton Ranch would all premiere on Paramount+ between September and November 2025. The company also confirmed 1944 would release in 2026, and we also learned Kayce Dutton's spinoff arrives on CBS sometime next year..

Unfortunately, that list of titles didn't include The Madison, which was honestly expected to be released sometime in 2025 and still could, perhaps even this summer.

The Yellowstone universe is expanding once again, this time as a direct follow-up to the acclaimed Taylor Sheridan western drama. In addition to the spin-off starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, another sequel will follow a fan-favorite character from the 2018 series that started it all.

CBS is moving forward with Y: Marshals, an upcoming spin-off set after Yellowstone that will feature Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton. The show will follow Kayce as he joins an "elite unit of U.S. Marshals," but no other cast members have been announced. Sheridan serves as an executive producer on Y: Marshals, while former Seal Team producer Spencer Hudnut will handle showrunning duties. The Yellowstone franchise continues to be popular on Paramount+. Viewership numbers for 1923, which made its long-awaited return with its Season 2 premiere on Feb. 23, have just been shared by the streamer, and they're the best yet for the prequel series.

Per Deadline, Paramount+ is reporting that the 1923 Season 2 premiere averaged 5.4 million global viewers, which is an increase of 146 percent from Season 1 (2.2 million). The streaming service is also stating that the Season 2 premiere broke the record for the biggest original premiere in Paramount+ history. The viewership results are based on internal streaming data from its premiere day, including CTV viewing, O&Os, Apple, Roku, and Amazon channels.

“The Madison,” the new upcoming series in the “Yellowstone” universe, has added four new cast members.

Variety has learned that Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Alaina Pollack and Danielle Vasinova have all joined the new Taylor Sheridan series. They will appear alongside previously announced cast members Michelle Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman, Matthew Fox, Beau Garrett, Ben Schnetzer and Amiah Miller.

The official logline for “The Madison” describes it as a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”

Zegers will play Cade, described as “Stacy’s (Pfeiffer) new neighbor, asked to look out for the place until the family showed up.” Pollack will play Macy, said to be “Abigail’s (Garrett) youngest daughter, who also grew up in a wealthy New York City family.” Spence will play Liliana Weeks, “Stacy’s friend and a fellow member...

Taylor Sheridan is back at it with The Madison, his next big TV project and the follow-up to Yellowstone, and it’s shaping up to be another intense, character-driven drama. The series, set in Montana’s gorgeous Madison River Valley, follows a New York family trying to rebuild their lives after tragedy strikes. Leading the charge is Michelle Pfeiffer as Stacy Clyburn, a Manhattan socialite who moves her family west after losing her husband and brother-in-law in a plane crash. Patrick J. Adams (Suits) steps in as Russell McIntosh, Stacy’s son-in-law, a city-dwelling investment banker suddenly tossed into rural life. The cast is stacked, too, with Matthew Fox, Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Amiah Miller, and Ben Schnetzer rounding things out, while Kurt Russell is also set to be part of things.

A special airing of the season premiere of Yellowstone will air on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, Nov. 10 (10-11 p.m. Et). Internationally, Yellowstone will premiere on Paramount+ in Canada on Nov. 10, in the U.K. on Nov. 11, and in Latin America, Brazil, and France at a later date.

“There was one day where we had to stop shooting because an actual dust storm shut our shoot down,” Joines said. “Once the actual dust storm stopped, we all got back on location, cranked up a huge 20-foot fan and shoveled dust in it to make a fake dust storm.”
