Ranveer Singh makes cool apperance in Actor/Rapper SlowCheeta‘s ‘Kar De Kaa?’

Actor-rapper Chaitnya Sharma, aka SlowCheeta, recently starred as Pk Banerjee in the recently released hit film Maidaan and received much praise for his performance. Now he has donned his other avatar and has dropped his latest EP – Scene Main Bawaal, released by IncInk Records. The singer has also released a unique music video for one of the five tracks from the EP, titled Kar De Kaa?

What makes it even cooler is that in an exciting Gully Boy reunion, the 7-minute-long Mv features superstar Ranveer Singh in a cameo, alongside SlowCheeta.

The music video tells the story of India’s underground rap scene, complete with its highs and lows. For Kar De Kaa?, the actor-rapper has released a music video that expands upon its title through a very intriguing video filled with rich storytelling. The title, “Kar De Kaa?,” literally translates to “Should I do it?” However, its context is more nuanced.

SlowCheeta, Ranveer Singh team up for ‘Kar De Kaa?’: Boys back in the gully

Actor-rapper Chaitnya Sharma, known by his stage name SlowCheeta, released the music video for his latest track titled ‘Kar De Kaa?’ on Thursday. The track also features Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and SlowCheeta’s actor-wife, Shweta Tripathi Sharma.

The song is one of the five tracks from his EP ‘Scene Main Bawaal’.

The seven-minute-long music video, marking the reunion of Ranveer and SlowCheeta after ‘Gully Boy’, tells the story of India’s underground rap scene, complete with its highs and lows.

Interestingly, ‘Kar De Kaa?’ has a backstory related to the recently released film ‘Maidaan’.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the track and its music video, SlowCheeta said: “I was shooting for my new movie, ‘Maidaan’, and one of the best players on the team was an incredible 19-year-old Amandeep from Himachal Pradesh.”

‘Mrs.’ and ‘Sumo Didi’ to screen at the 35th Palm Springs International Film Festival

Continuing their successful streak at film festivals, Jio Studios’ films ‘Mrs.’ and ‘Sumo Didi’ are set to enthrall audiences once again at a global stage. Embracing powerful female narratives, both films portray tales of determination and resilience in the face of adversity and have been selected for screenings at the prestigious 35th Palm Springs International Film Festival being held in California.

The screening of upcoming Hindi film Sumo Didi will be held on 7th January. Inspired by the story of India’s first Sumo wrestler Hetal Dave, it stars Shriyam Bhagnani in the lead along with Chaitnya Sharma (Slow Cheeta) and is directed by debutant Jayant Rohatgi.

The rappers go old school, capturing the ’90s hip hop vibes in a mix of freestyle and gangsta rap complete with great flow and delivery.
