Nneka Ihim is sharing some very “bittersweet” pregnancy news.

On Wednesday (January 22), the 37-year-old Real Housewives of Potomac alum announced that she and husband Dr. Ikenna Ihim are expecting their first child, however, they were originally expecting twins and sadly lost one baby in utero.

Keep reading to find out more…In an interview with People, Nneka revealed that she has been trying for more than two years to get pregnant.

“It’s so exciting,” Neneka, who is due in May, gushed. “I’ve always wanted to be a mom and for so long, it felt like the vision of having the family I desired wasn’t possible. But now my dreams of building a family are coming true, and it just feels so special.”

The Real Reason Scott Reeves’ General Hospital Return Was Emotional
Image
With Heather being released from prison, the time is right for her son Steven to return on General Hospital. A beloved and missed fan-favorite, Scott Reeves opened up about reprising the role. He explained what he emotionally experienced when returning to the show that was his home for four years.

He Jumped at the Chance to Return

Scott Reeves (Steven) eagerly explained to Soap Opera Digest what going back to Gh was like. Steven ended up going to jail in 2013 after a past misdeed involving illegally harvesting a prisoner’s organ to save another life caught up with him. He kept in touch with executive producer Frank Valentini, and amongst their texts, he would often ask if Steve had been paroled yet. Finally, the call came in, and Valentini answered his long-burning question. Reeves explained, “And now he was telling me, ‘Steve’s gotten out of jail, he’s been released on parole,...

Rhop Season 9: Premiere date, cast, and trailer revealed
Keiarna Stewart, Mia Thornton, Ashley Darby, Karen Huger, Gizelle Bryant, Wendy Osefo, and Stacey Rusch in The Real Housewives of Potomac (2016)
The Potomac ladies are almost back on Bravo.

On Thursday, the cabler confirmed that The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9 will debut on Sunday, October 6, at 8/7c.

The series will attempt to recalibrate after poor feedback for Rhop Season 8.

After the terrible season, the series said goodbye to Robyn Dixon, Candiace Dillard-Bassett, and Nneka Ihim.

Robyn was fired, which wasn’t too much of a surprise given that fans revolted after she kept details of her husband Juan Dixon’s cheating away from the cameras.

Nneka was a one-and-done, but there has been no confirmation of whether she was forced out of the show.

Candiace walked away of her own volition and is now expecting her first child with her husband, Chris Bassett.

Here’s everything we know about Rhop Season 9 as filming gets underway
Keiarna Stewart, Mia Thornton, Ashley Darby, Karen Huger, Gizelle Bryant, Wendy Osefo, and Stacey Rusch in The Real Housewives of Potomac (2016)
The Real Housewives of Potomac is heading into its ninth season and fans will be happy to know that filming is underway.

Og Gizelle Bryant was spotted filming a scene with Ashley Darby as they escaped the recent cast shakeup.

Viewers have been calling for the firing of several cast members amid a dismal Season 8 that featured a major division in the group.

Gizelle and her bestie Robyn Dixon’s ongoing feud with Candiace Dillard made things awkward during filming as the green-eyed bandits refused to communicate with the Drive Back singer.

The duo didn’t want anything to do with Wendy Osefo, making things awkward and dry during the group events.

As for Ashley Darby, she was once again stirring up trouble within the group – then hiding her hand and allowing others to take the blame.

After a disappointing season, the reunion didn’t offer any resolutions among the cast,...

The Real Housewives Of Potomac: Signs The Season 9 Cast Shakeup Could Help & Hurt The Group (Was Firing Robyn A Good Idea?)
Image
Rhop is undergoing a major cast shakeup for season 9, with three permanent housewives not returning. New full-time housewives, Keiarna and Stacey, are being added to the season 9 cast for fresh energy. The remaining Potomac women's relationships are uncertain for the upcoming season, potentially leading to a significant revamp.

The Real Housewives of Potomac is getting a major cast shakeup heading into its ninth season, but will it help or hurt the group? Four original housewives have stayed on the show through Rhop season 8. However, Rhop season 9 will be the first season Robyn Dixon will not be part of since the series' inception. Additionally, longtime Potomac housewife Candiace Dillard Bassett announced she wouldnt be returning for Rhop season 9 after a rough past two years. Like Robyn, Candiace has been on the show for quite some time having joined during season 2.

This isnt the first time the Real Housewives franchise has seen...

Nneka Ihim Didn't Deserve a Second Season on 'Rhop'
Image
Nneka Ihim's brief stint on The Real Housewives of Potomac has placed her among the ranks of one-hit wonders. From the moment she entered the scene, Nneka managed to ruffle feathers, leaving many in shock. It is no secret that when new Housewives enter a show, aligning themselves with a particular side rarely ends well on the reality series. It seems that Nneka would find common ground and establish a bond with veteran housewife Wendy Osefo, given their shared Nigerian culture. However, this unexpected connection only fueled their rivalry. Unfortunately, Nneka followed in the footsteps of those who came before her and chose to engage in a futile battle with the wrong housewife, resulting in a less-than-favorable reception.

Nneka Ihim Reportedly Fired From ‘Rhop’ After Just One Season
Image
Being a newbie Housewife is challenging, as they are entering a space with pre-established friendships, rivalries, and pasts. If a new Housewife cannot prove her mental or stand out on her own, they get the boot from their reality franchise. It could be considered a newbie curse because, in the past few years, it seems as if new housewives can’t seem to make an impression on their franchises and the fans. This newbie curse has now hit another housewife: Nneka Ihim. Viewers were excited to see the potential of this new housewife, as she comes from a proud Nigerian background, and it seemed as if Wendy Osefo was going to have a potential new ally. This, however, turned out to be false, as Nneka almost immediately began trying to start needless drama. It’s almost as if she came in with a side already chosen when it comes to...

Rhop’s inability to switch things up has killed the show
Keiarna Stewart, Mia Thornton, Ashley Darby, Karen Huger, Gizelle Bryant, Wendy Osefo, and Stacey Rusch in The Real Housewives of Potomac (2016)
The Real Housewives of Potomac was once the diamond in the rough in the sprawling Real Housewives franchise.

The series excelled for the first seven seasons when others grew stale quickly.

Sadly, the series’ luck ran out with The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8, which features many women refusing to acknowledge one another.

How can you have a show about their lives when they very clearly have a disdain for one another that makes any group scene feel strained and forced?

The biggest issue plaguing this once-hot series is its inability to switch things up, and that blame falls squarely on producers.

Adding Nneka Ihim into the mix didn’t infuse the show with what it should have because she came on due to a rumor, signaling that producers are just chasing messy drama.

Nneka Ihim is one of the worst additions

Her feud with Wendy Osefo has created one...

Les Amazones d’Afrique began in 2017 as a sisterly supergroup of singers from the West African region of Mali. Founded by Mamani Keïta, Mariam Doumbia (of Amadou and Mariam), and Oumou Sangare, and convened by French music-industry veteran Valerie Malot, the collective came together through a shared musical vision, as well as the goal of championing gender equality and bringing attention to the pressing issue of violence against women.

'Rhop' Is Demonizing the Culture and Spirituality of Nigeria
Image
Dr. Wendy Osefo has worn her Nigerian ancestry loud and proud, giving Real Housewives Of Potomac fans who are unaware of the cultural intricacies a little insight. This season has put this in the forefront thanks to the addition of a new housewife, Nneka Ihim, who is also of Nigerian descent. In Season 8, Episode 2, he topic of Wendy being Osu or, rather, Ashley Darby’s lie about Wendy being Osu was a major topic of discussion. Some Nigerian fans were upset by Wendy’s explanation of Osu, as they felt she misrepresented its meaning. Nigerian fans are also upset with Nneka and Robyn Dixon for demonizing Wendy’s mother and her spiritual practice. Because of colonization, spiritualities outside of Christianity have been demonized, especially those from the African diaspora, which has yet to be represented in a positive way in pop culture. Rhop has the opportunity to bring new light to that narrative,...

Nneka Ihim Reportedly Joins Rhop Season 8 Cast
Image
A new housewife will be gracing Bravo screens soon, as Nneka Ihim reportedly signed up for The Real Housewives of Potomac season 8. The reality show has had a pretty stable core cast but seems to be trying out new friends-of and even new periphery housewives. There hasn't been any news lately of any current Rhop cast members quitting or being fired.

According to TV Deets, Rhop will be gaining a new housewife: licensed attorney Nneka. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin Law School. She has been a CNN correspondent in the past and resides in the Potomac area with her husband Ikenna Ihim. The first cast-wide event for Rhop season 8 was filmed over the weekend, and TV Deets was told by a source close to production that Nneka was in attendance. ‘Survivor’ 43: 2 Tribes Join Forces to Send [Spoiler] to Tribal Council (Recap)
Survivor (2000)
[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Survivor Season 43 Episode 4, “Show No Mercy”.] After Nneka’s elimination, Vesi’s Cody laid things out plain at the top of Survivor 43’s fourth episode: “We have no flint, no food, no fire, and we’ve lost two challenges in a row. We are in dead last.” It’s true that Vesi has not fared well in the game thus far. Eight days in, and they’re still struggling to get fire made. What the team does have that Baka doesn’t, however, is a general appreciation for its teammates. Robert Voets/CBS Baka’s beach chatter proves that last week’s victorious tribe may be good at group challenges, but they are not bonding. “Gabler’s starting to rub me the wrong way,” Elie says of her eldest teammate on Day 8. “He’s becoming a detriment to potentially our game, but also to our camp life as well.” His crime?...

The fourth episode of “Survivor 43,” which airs October 12, will begin with the remaining four members of the Vesi tribe returning to camp after voting out Nneka Ejere. In CBS’s “Survivor 43” sneak peek video (watch above), Cody Assenmacher, Nneka Ejere, Noelle Lambert, Jesse Lopez and Dwight Moore are trying to regroup after a tough seven days on the island, both physically and emotionally.

“Nneka and I had a very good alliance and I voted for her,” Cody tells the camera. “So coming back from tribal was like my girlfriend dumped me, and the pizza guy that I ordered pizza from didn’t show up, and my roommate drank all the beer in the fridge. It was just brutal.”

While sitting around camp, Jesse chuckles, “Dude, we’re a hot mess.” And Dwight wonders aloud, “Oh, my God. Have we gone the longest without a fire as a tribe,...

Nneka Ejere (‘Survivor 43’ exit interview): ‘I’m surprised I don’t have any negative emotions’ about blindside
Image
Nneka Ejere‘s game of personal connection and loyalty came to an emotional end on Wednesday’s third episode of “Survivor 43.” Despite being blindsided in “a really cool” way by her alliance, the 43-year-old remains positive leaving the island, saying, “I’m surprised I don’t have any negative emotions.” Read her “Survivor 43” exit interview below.

On last week’s second episode, Nneka was on the right side of the vote when her Vesi tribe attended their first Tribal Council. She, Cody Assenmacher and Jesse Lopez joined in a three vote majority over Noelle Lambert and Dwight Moore to take out their ally Justine Brennan. When Vesi lost the immunity challenge again this week, Cody, Jesse and Nneka were seemingly in the power position to have an easy majority over Noelle and Dwight. Their sights were set on Noelle based on Jesse and Nneka having a more trustworthy connection to Dwight.

‘Survivor’ 43: Splintering Tribes Send [Spoiler] Home (Recap)
Survivor (2000)
[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Survivor Season 43 Episode 3, “I’ll Sign the Divorce Papers.”] Trust is broken at Vesi after last week’s Tribal Council. Cody’s idol twist — completed with an assist from Nneka — sent Justine packing, leaving Noelle without her original alliance and Dwight and Jesse’s “island marriage” in the doghouse. Vesi wasn’t the only tribe splintering quickly at the top of Survivor Season 43 Episode 3, which aired Wednesday, October 5 on CBS. Baka didn’t have to send a player home last week, but not-so-secret scheming deepened the divide between the men and women of the group. Psychologist Elie and Ux designer Jeanine were convinced Gabler didn’t know his idol was still in play, telling Sami their plan to convince him not to play it. The arrogance peeved Sami, he spilled the tea to Gabler, and Gabler played along with Elie’s attempted manipulation later. All the while, Owen kept his...

Survivor Recap: Risk It for the Biscuit — Who Found Beware Advantage No. 2?
Image
Have we reached Peak Puzzling on Survivor these days? Is watching a puzzle showdown as exciting as the show believes it is? If every single immunity challenge is decided the same way, I would argue that no, it is not.

Once again, Wednesday’s episode aaaall came down to a puzzle, as Nneka and Jesse failed to secure the immunity idol for their tribe after botching an ol’ fish jigsaw. (I’ve already typed the word “puzzle” so much that I’ve annoyed myself.)

Justine Brennan (‘Survivor 43’ exit interview): ‘I got completely hoodwinked by Jesse’
Image
After being voted out of the second episode of “Survivor 43,” Justine Brennan was all smiles during her end-of-show exit interview on CBS. “I got completely hoodwinked by Jesse,” sighed the 29-year-old cyber security saleswoman from Marina Del Rey, California. She added that it “sucks” to be eliminated so soon, especially because of someone who was “very visibly playing both sides.”

Justine was referring to Jesse Lopez, who found himself as the swing vote between two other pairs on the red Vesi tribe. Ultimately he decided to write down Justine’s name because he really never bonded with her. As an example, viewers saw a hilarious scene of Jesse being annoyed at her fear of spiders, and another moment where Justine bragged about having a “good lying face.”

“I feel sad about leaving this family,” Justine declared. Despite the early elimination, she confirmed that she’s “still rooting for Vesi.

Survivor 43 Recap: The Beads Have Spoken — A Pesky Beware Advantage Throws a Last-Minute Wrench
Image
A note to future Survivor players: If you already have a date with Jeff at Tribal Council, opening a Beware Advantage probably isn’t in your best interests.

Cody learned that lesson the hard way in Wednesday’s episode when the salesman from Hawai’i tore through the advantage’s wrapping like a six-year-old on Christmas morning, despite his tribe having lost immunity. And of course he lost his vote! That’s what Beware Advantages do! They are vote-stealing, wrench-throwing little buggers that are put in place to foil your game. And three seasons into the show’s new era,...

Survivor 43 Premiere Recap: The Season's First Idol Enters the Game, as 'the Monster' Claims Victim No. 1

Eighteen new castaways, 39 26 days, one… yeah, you know the drill.

It’s been a long summer of bingeing old seasons on Paramount+, but Survivor 43 is finally here! It’s a new game, with fresh twists and, well, the same ol’ Fijian beach. And maybe a monster lurking in the jungle? I’m actually not quite sure what the latest update is on said monster, but if we know just one thing, it’s that it is very (you guessed it) dangerous.
