In 2016, he made waves with The Final Project, becoming one of the first Black writer-directors to release an independent horror film in theaters. The film's screenplay was later requested by the Margaret Herrick Library at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for their permanent collection.
His second feature, Hallowed Be Thy Name, debuted in 2020 and achieved notable success across streaming platforms.
Expanding his horizons beyond horror, Ri'chard has secured the film rights to the New York Times best-seller Tryin' to Sleep in The Bed You've Made. He has also recently produced and directed his eagerly awaited third feature, P.S. I Hate U, marking his exciting venture into new genres.
